The flags are flying.  Does that mean the Governor is in residence?

That is a stately old building.  How old would you estimate it to be?

Nice shot.  All your shots have beautiful blue skys.  Makes a person wonder if you ever have anything other than blue skys!

Yes, he and his family are in residence.   Two state troopers were eyeing me as I moved around to get a better shot.

Unfortunately, it was being renovated, so I couldn't get a tour to learn much.

And yes, when Iowa weather is good, it's gorgeous.   And when it's bad...

Well, I don't spend a lot of time outdoors, then.

Didn't you know there are only two seasons?  Winter and construction!  No I don't like winter either I tend to stay inside as much as possible in the winter.

I thought the Governor was in with the flags being up.  In London England you can laways know when the Queen is in residence because the flag is flying.  I don't remember if there is a specific flag for royalty or not.

It would be a treat to go on a tour when the renovations are done.
