Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Carol: My husband Don is with the angels.....Our family was able to hold  ourselves together for the last moments.  Juar rhoufhr you might want to know. 2022-04-29, 23:35:15

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

That is a super photo!

So, you didn't turn it into greyscale?  How lovely.  I love the stonework!

So, are you near to Cleveland?  If so, I'm just across the lake!

That is beautiful. It reminds me af an old British castle.  I too love the brickwork.

Jeanne Lee

Wonderful!  Much more effective than if it had been in color.

Eck! now this ain't bad at all, just the kind of place I've been dreaming of living in, though it doesn't look very habitable, from here. You've got this just right, I do not think colour would have done anything for this shot, a bit of mist would have brought out the the atmosphere a treat but you can't order the atmospheric conditions that's down to an ideal world. There is a good tonal range throughout the picture, from the deepest black, to the white of the sky. The composition is so well balanced with the dark tree trunk counterbalancing the light toned gable end. The tree branches splay out beautifully across the frame, leading the eye gently from the foreground to the castle itself, a beautiful piece of architecture, well photographed.

Hi everybody-been outside in the nice weather-finally getting somewhere in the flower garden and beds....

But thank you-Pat, Judy, Jeanne and Summicron-for your kind remarks... :) ;)

Pat -in that picture control setting it takes in the monochrome setting-as you snap. There is a way to explain but I'm not good with words...but I didn't convert it was in camera converted.

I've got that control on my Leica D Lux3, you can go sepia, black and white, warm, cool settings, haven't used them yet though.

juanital

Summicron-they are marvelous settings. Along with that it has the filters-yellow, orange, green and red that you can set it with...I try the different filters but end up not remembering which one I used. I'm not quite sure which would work best for the picture on hand that I'm taking....I know a lot a folks like converting best but if it's there why not use it?!!! I like the Neutral and Vivid, too. I'll need to post some other pics with those settings... :)
