Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Carol: My husband Don is with the angels.....Our family was able to hold  ourselves together for the last moments.  Juar rhoufhr you might want to know. 2022-04-29, 23:35:15

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

Darwen's main road has the designation A666, and some years ago the same designated freeway over in the USA was changed because of its associations with the beast of Revelation, the properties along this stretch of the road may look run down, but the late evening sun after a shower of rain brings out their character, and lends both warmth and a certain charm to the old facades. I took this on the spare of the moment trying to capture those last fleeting moments before the sun went down behind the hills.
I've been reading for the umpteenth time, Bill Bryson's book, Notes From a Small Island, I love his style of descriptive journalism, he always makes me want to get out there and do likewise, and savour, the character that is England in all its moods. If you have ever read his books, especially Notes from a Small Island, he has such touching fondness, for his adopted home, it really is touching, his final two paragraphs in this book.
I felt low today, and needed some inspiration, and felt the need to be uplifted and inspired, so I rooted through a couple of boxes of slides and came up with this little cameo of Darwen. I was really looking for an autumn shot of Ashleigh Barrow, a circular banking in a small park, its the remains of an ancient burial mound 3600 years old, yes Darwen does lay claim to a piece of ancient history, so maybe that shot next time. Love to ya all, Michael.

Well, that sure looks like a place in the UK.  Love it!

That was quick you must have spotted that as I was still typing my comments, listen Pat if your still tuned in, create another cattegory for pictures called, Home town or something like that, where people can share some of their local history and geography, and places of interest.

Here in North Anerica it seems the only place to shop is the BIG malls, and the small town shops are virtually ignored, on top of that the highways are made better to bypass the main street small town traffic.  It is nice to not have the slow downs but the little towns are suffering.

I like this picture and it shows not all countries are copying the North America way.

Marilyn

We have lots of small town shops in my area.
