Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

Just look at this lot (sorry its a blur, the camera was set on aperture priority instead of auto, hence the shake) half of Clitheroe must have been out waiting for a steam special to come through on its return to Preston. It came through alright, about a hundred miles per hour. It was early, it only sounded its chimes as it came round the curve about a hundred yards from the end of the platform, then the next thing we all knew thirteen coaches were fast disappearing southwards, how many people got pictures heaven knows, me I didn't even know I'd pressed the shutter.

And here's just a fraction of that merry throng, in great anticipation.  :o :D ??? Anyway it was fun while it lasted.

It's no wonder people were out in droves, this engine is only two years old, if that, all the peppercorn A1s had been scrapped, non went into preservation so years ago it was decided to build one from scratch, and that's what came through Clitheroe last night, the worlds newest steam locomotive, 60163 Tornado. In fact this is the first steam locomotive to be build in forty years, read about it.

This reminds me of a time when I tried to take shots of Navy jets flying over.  .  .   Here they come, there they go.  :)

Too bad it didn't slow down so more pictures could be taken.  The folks there do look like they enjoyed their time waiting together!

Pat

Yes, here I am nearly 70 and I feel that "life has been a blur" too, Michael!  :)

HAHA, Pat!  I know what you mean - the years have been jet propelled.

That shot of the engine really shows motion and speed.
