Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

I snapped a photo of Mark last night, thought I would show you who you are praying for, and how his hand looks right now.

My goodness!

How long does he have to keep it shaped that way?

I'm so sorry that he's having to go through this.  I'll keep praying for him, Janet.

Mark said the doctor said he needs to kept the fingers curled while that tendon and nerve heal, so they won't be shortened.  He goes back in two weeks for her to look at it, will be in a sling for 6 weeks.

wow.  Will this affect him finishing his school year?

Etta Sue

I am surprised someone hasn't drawn a face on his hand...that would be kewl!  Looks like the start of another Kermit!

Mark is tough...a few years from now and he won't even remember this.  Besides, look at all the attention he is getting!

Hang in there, Mark!

Good idea, Etta Sue.  He could do a puppet show....I prayed for him after reading the post and will continue to do so.  Hope it won't hurt his schooling.

Mark went back to school today.  He only has a few weeks to go, so he will finish for sure.  Just has to do everything one-handed!  Pretty awkward for him, I know.  Etta Sue, the outer wrapping is those elastic bandages, and last night no one had even seen him, other than family, so........Who knows?  It might get decorated yet.  I just called to ask how it went at school today and Mark said "pretty well."  He said he didn't have any particular trouble getting things done with one hand, and didn't have much pain.  Yea, Mark!!  ;D

That looks uncomfortable.  Of course, I guess the whole incident was rather "uncomfortable" as well.  Glad things are going okay for him.

Janet

Mark went to the doctor yesterday, and she reduced the size of the bandage, but will keep the fingers curved for a few more weeks. She said if he straightens those fingers out, he will be back in surgery!  :(  It is healing well, just takes time.  She will reduce the size of the bandage again the day before his graduation.  He is still hoping to be able to work this summer at the job with the spray pilot.  He LOVES being around airplanes!

Nice to see mark's "claw" as he called it, again, knowing it healed up fine and he is doing great!  He didn't get to work that job that summer, but last summer he did work for a spray pilot in Moscow (Kansas, that is) and loved every minute of it.
