I was experimenting at the time with in focus/out of focus techniques, you take a picture sharply focused, re-cock the shutter without winding the film on, and take a second picture of the same subject that is wildly out of focus, so you get this dreamy sort of effect. Here we were at a church fellowship barbecue, and it was raining cats and dogs, and I photographed this colourful scene through a window.
