Skyline Drive, VA was taken on Friday, March 20 while driving down the Skyline Drive south from Front Royal, VA.

What views we had!

Sarge, I got an email saying you posted a photo!

But I don't see it.  If you need help, just put it in and I'll correct it.

I picked my choice of the best 5 of all the entries. Congratulations everyone for the beautiful photos.
Sorry, I was not able to join the excitement of competition. The cold and miserable weather
we have up here, where I live did not allow me to snap a fresh photo worthy of the challenge.

Happy Easter!!

I voted. That, in itself, is a challange!! :-\  I love all the efforts presented here, and congratulate each one of you for your great photos.

I agree. It was very hard to vote.  Those last entries were great and really made it tougher.

Have a blessed day

Hope it works Pat.

Well, I see that your Oncoming Thunderstorm got posted after all, Sarge and it's in the poll so that's great!

It truly is a lovely photo!

That's because I live in the middle of the city and am not old enough to drive.   :ticked:

:)

LORD willing, I'll be a farmer one day, and then I can take pictures of nature to my heart's content.

Awwww...  Gabe, I sure wish I lived close to you and I would have driven you to take some photos of nature for this challenge.

Maybe next time we'll have a topic that will be suitable for you.

Hi, There are many nice shots, But I think for the nicest, completed, and finished photo, I think it's "A Winter Walk".

If no on e minds, I'm going to put on my Professional Photographer's hat, and my Photo Professor's hat...:

Many of the entries have great elements to them, your eyes have perceived them, but for some, the element becomes the photograph, and I think that the element might be more roundly incorporated into a bit more of a developed image.  This may include more scenery, a foreground element to contrast with the faraway, or something to bring more depth or leading lines.

I have deliberately been vague about individual pics, Just to give ideas...   Pardon the overdose of smilies, my four year old is fascinated by them, so I give a few...
:yakyakyak:    :lol:    ::)   <3   :ticked:     :D    :lol:  :o    :-\    :thumbsup:

I voted too! Once again, it was difficult to narrow down to only five. There were a few others that I could have voted for just as easily.  :)

I'm not a professional photographer by any means, but I agree with your point, and would include Winter Wonderland in that category also. My only problem was that, since these were supposed to be restricted to "natural landscape" only, I wondered if, because the wooden walk in W. Walk and the red barn in W. Wonderland were "man made" creations, that necessarily caused them to be outside of the narrow parameters that were set for this contest?

Anyway, I won't say what my conclusion was, but I deem both of them worthy of framing and hanging on my wall (as were a few other entries)!  ^-^

They are all so good that it could be considered a crime to vote for only five, since a vote for some is a vote against others!  Wow! to all of them!

Pat

My goodness!

Close voting in here!

And I think we have 24 more hours!  Fingernail biting time!   :D

Sarge's photo didn't show at first.  There was a glitch and so he put it in again 'hoping it would work'.

Seems it has!  ;)

Well, this was a very difficult challenge to vote in--for me!

And to see the first and second place photos see-saw back and forth was certainly something!  I just think that that Winter Walk by fotobirder was also just a big winner too!  ;)

So, Sarge, we now await your Personal Message saying what the next challenge will be all about!

Kind of exciting to think about, don't you all agree?
