Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

How to Use This Board

Here's our
51st Challenge for you all.

"Butterflies, Birds & Beasts"

Details:

  • This topic was chosen by bhall07, who won our  last Challenge.

What a wonderful variety of subjects this offers!  Thank you Bob (bhall07) for suggesting this new topic!

Let's encourage folks by letting them know we're enjoying their entries.

  • Use the attachment feature to show your photos (see directions above in the link to "How to Use This Board") in your post or link to them from your gallery or an offsite location that allows linking using the image codes.  If you have trouble, please contact a moderator (name in blue) or an administrator (name in red) and we'll help you post your photo.  If you have your photo in your gallery, please don't use the attachment feature as that puts the photo on our server twice but rather link to it.  It's best if your photos are at least 500 to 600 pixels wide so that they are easily seen.  Please keep your photos under 175 KB in size.

  • Please upload up to 4 entries per member for this challenge.

  • The challenge is open now and will be closed to uploads on November 24, 2010  and then we'll vote on them.

  • Please tell us the camera you used to take your photo and when you took it.  Please only enter photos taken by you.

  • Please put a short title above your photo.  We need the title for the poll listing.  If you want to tell us a bit about your photos, please put it below your picture.

  • Please post only one entry per post/message.

  • Of course, we're going to see who is posting the photos so this is not an anonymous challenge.  So start posting.  Click on the "Reply" button below and start this challenge!

Let's ALSO NOT put any photos in this challenge labelled "NOT AN ENTRY" or anything that is not to be voted on.

Remember, this is a fun project!

Considering the season, how about "A personal expression of Christmas" ? Not necessarily what it should be, but also what it has become, or the way others see it, etc. It could be anything from just another day, to lights, someone opening a gift, trees, etc. This way if someone who doesn't celebrate it here, they can still participate. Sound ok?

Hey Jim. That sounds good. To make it official. Go to Jeane Lee's name above her photo. Click on that and go all the way to the bottom. You'll see a place where it says "send this member a personal message." That's where you send her what you want the next challenge to be. Hope this helps. Sounds like a great idea.
May the Lord bless & keep you.

not one word, not a boast,

Steve,

I could never blame anyone for that corruption of rhyme above.  I'm the guilty one.

I think a Challenge without even a title or other word one would be glorious fun.  I penned the little ditty above after hearing the original read this morning.

Re commenting, have you ever seen any comments posted on specific photos that didn't end up in the top 10?  For me that's not really nice so I like to see the comments as the photos are uploaded.  ;)  But that's just me.  It seems that the only comments (if we didn't comment during the uploading period) are for the top winner and many the 2nd and 3rd.

:(

So, I like to see the comments.  ;)

I like to encourage the new members to post, I hope our comments does just that, encourage the new members..  In a competition there would be no comments allowed...but we have challenges, which are different.  I enjoy reading the comments, being on dial up it takes time for the photos to load, so the comments create anticipation.
