"APPLES"
Details: - From LaughingPeppers: "I mean any photo that is relevant to apples. It could be an apple tree, apple juice, apple cider, apples in a crate, an apple bite, etc. etc. I trust your imaginations and visions. This is going to be an interesting challenge. I hope more entries will be posted this time.
Happy Shooting"
- Use the attachment feature to show your photos (see directions above in the link to "How to Use This Board") in your post or link to them from your gallery or an offsite location that allows linking using the image codes. If you have trouble, please contact a moderator (name in blue) or an administrator (name in red) and we'll help you post your photo. If you have your photo in your gallery, please don't use the attachment feature as that puts the photo on our server twice but rather link to it.
- Please upload up to 4 entries per member for this challenge.
- If you possibly can, please tell us the camera you used to take your photo and when you took it. But if you don't know, please post the picture anyway. We want to see your photos. :) Please only enter photos taken by you.
- The challenge is open now and will be locked to uploads on Saturday, July 18, 2015 and then we'll vote on them.
- Please put a title in your post for your photos. We need the title for the poll.
- Of course, we're going to see who is posting the photos so this is not an anonymous challenge. So start posting. Click on the "Reply" button below and start this challenge!
Remember, this is a fun project!
Thanks to LaughingPeppers for suggesting this topic. He was the winner of our last Challenge entitled "PICNIC". Thanks LaughingPeppers!

This was taken with an older camera before I went to DSLR. It was the Nikon CP 8700
Apple-Star
[attachimg=1]
Slicing the bottom of this red delicious apple yielded this star-shape pattern. If you look closely, you will see two figures facing each other, holding hands. Shot with Nikon 300S

Dare To Be Different

Sometimes being different is what makes us shine and standout from the rest.
This crystal apple sure looks different from her siblings. Shot with Nikon S9900
in manual mode.

Honest. I did not shoot the arrow, but I fired my Nikon D300s to take this apple photo.

Hot Apple Cider with Cinnamon
[attachimg=1]
This is my fourth and final entry for APPLES. Apple Cider with Cinnamon.
In case some of you were wondering why I chose APPLES for this super mini challenge. It is for a very significant reason. I am celebrating the acceptance of my Christ-centred short story: "My Father's Tree" to the soon to be released book entitled Hot Apple Cider with Cinnamon. This book is an anthology of heart-warming short stories, written by Canadian Christian writers and published by That's Life Communications which is also Canadian. It should be available in book stores as well as on-line in Amazon by this fall, in hard copies and e-book format. Hot Apple Cider with Cinnamon is the third anthology of the Hot Apple Cider books.
Thank you all for your apple shots. I enjoyed all of them and they gave me a great sense of celebration.
May God bless us all,
Mario

Such lovely photos in this one! (As usual!) I loved the sense of humor expressed in BigSkyKen's entries, the beauty of the apple blossoms by Pat, the....well, they are all good! Thanks to all for entering! I enjoyed your photos!
Thanks for posting here Janet. It's so encouraging to those members who entered this challenge.
Thanks for your comments and kind words, Janet!
I second the motion, Pat. We need more "Janets" to post encouraging words of appreciation for the photographers who put the valuable effort in keeping the Mini Challenge afloat. Without the contenders, there will be no Mini Challenge.
Thank you, Janet.
Having said that, let me thank all the participants one more time. (photographers and voters) I truly enjoyed all the entries -- the creativity, the artistry and the originality. What a show of apples!!
It was very difficult to decide on 5, only 5, among all the great photos. This was a wonderful choice for a theme. :)
Great Mini-Challenge. A lot of different Talents showed in the entries. :clap: :clap: It was very hard to vote for just 5. :yes: :yes: I like the way the balloting went back and Forth. You didn't know who was going too win til the very end. :thinking: :thinking: Congratulations to all the winners. I did love Jim D.'s Trio with all the Water Droplets.
The Apple Pie with Ice Cream was another favorite. I really liked all the entries. Thanks to Laughing Peppers for picking the Subject. :clap: :clap: Now it's up to Jim D. to pick the next Subject for :thumbsup2: :thumbsup2: :groupwave: :groupwave: :cp: :cp:the Mini Challenge. I'm sure you'll do A great job.
