WE'RE VOTING!!!
Please select your favorite top FIVE images
and then click the "Submit" button.
"PHOTO STORY"
Details: - From LaughingPeppers: "The challenge here is to submit your best shots that evoke emotions and effectively engage the viewer the way a good story does.
Aside from excellent composition, vibrant colours, contrast and lighting. I would like to see a compelling photo that connects to me; a photo that presents a message or a story, and make me react to it.
Happy Shooting Everyone and Good Luck!!"
- Use the attachment feature to show your photos (see directions above in the link to "How to Use This Board") in your post or link to them from your gallery or an offsite location that allows linking using the image codes. If you have trouble, please contact a moderator (name in blue) or an administrator (name in red) and we'll help you post your photo. If you have your photo in your gallery, please don't use the attachment feature as that puts the photo on our server twice but rather link to it.
- Please upload up to 4 entries per member for this challenge.
- If you possibly can, please tell us the camera you used to take your photo and when you took it. But if you don't know, please post the picture anyway. We want to see your photos. :) Please only enter photos taken by you.
- The challenge is open now and will be locked to uploads on Monday, June 30th, 2014 and then we'll vote on them.
- Please put a title in your post for your photos. We need the title for the poll.
- Of course, we're going to see who is posting the photos so this is not an anonymous challenge. So start posting. Click on the "Reply" button below and start this challenge!
Remember, this is a fun project!
Thanks to LaughingPeppers for suggesting this topic. He was the winner of our last Challenge entitled "APPEALING". Thanks LaughingPeppers!

Nikon D80
I was minding my grandson and thought I'd sneak a photo of him from below a bridge at the children's playground as he crossed the bridge on top. I was positioning my camera and all of a sudden as I was about to snap it, he bent down and said "I see you down there, Grandma". It wasn't the photo I had planned on taking but it was just fine.

"No More Stories"
[attachimg=1]
Grave site in Mansfield, MO of Laura Ingalls Wilder author of the "Little House on The Prairie" stories
It is always interesting to see the visions of our fellow Christian photographers in this group. This Challenge is no exception. And you are right, Pat. The ones that I like and engage me the most exceed the max. number of photos I can vote for.
In this Mini Challenge, I decided to do something different. I am not participating in the contest, BUT I have posted my own visions of PHOTO STORY on Bits and Pieces, under the topic that I started: Photojournalism. I invite you to take a look at them and please feel free to leave your much appreciated comments..
And also, after the winners are announced, I will privately message the ones that I personally thought are the top three on my list. (Most likely they will match the judges decision.) Good luck everyone and thanks to all who have responded to the Photo Story Challenge.

Jeanne's modem was hit by lightening and she has had no internet over this long holiday weekend. She expects to be back online late Tuesday afternoon.
Thanks for the info, Pat. Makes you wonder what next? Jeanne has been having too much adversity at her doorstep .... Hopefully this is the last of it.
I so agree, Jane. :)
OK, no more entries. It's time to choose your five favorites and be sure to click Submit after you choose all five!
Only 8 voters. It doesn't seem like A Challenge anymore!
Steve
Steve, we're having a bit of difficulty with the "Announce" feature of the site. We're trying to get it fixed. I'll send out another announcement.
Please let me know if you get an email that is blank. At least the Subject line says this Challenge on it.
I got a blank email announcement ... but I came here and voted, anyway.

Yes. I have seen this and am glad to see this again I think it is a wonderful photo
Wow, these were all so good and seemed to address the theme so well that it was almost impossible to select 5 as I think they are all winners. However, I am voting as requested. I don't generally follow this discussion as I am not a photographer but these are very meaningful photos on a very good topic. Larry
Larry, it's not necessary to be a photographer to enjoy looking at the entries in our challenges. You will find some wonderfully talented people participating (I'm definitely not one of them! :D ).
It is nice to see that more members are getting involved in the voting. I sure voted for those story-telling shots that evoked emotions such as loneliness, emptiness, friendship, love, excitement and so on. I will be sending a private message to the top three photographers of my choice, based on composition and most compelling story.
Thanks to everyone who participated in the Photo Story shootout.
Blessings,
Mario
Hi, friends,
I voted - these are extraordinary photos!

Got my votes in. A lot of different emotions in these photos. Great job by everyone!
