Title: Margery's Vision of Angels in Russian Ortodox cathedral.
Post by: Summicron on March 11, 2008, 10:39:02 PM
This was funny, whilst on holiday in Bulgaria, we found ourselves outside Varna cathedral one Saturday morning, so we went in only to find that Saturday's were devoted to weddings, and anyone could go in and watch the nuptuals being performed, we sat there and watched several weddings being performed and we were carried away by the heavenly singing of the gregorian chant, in a cathedral setting, it as an awesome sound.
After a while Margery enraptured by the music started to have visions of angels moving about in a rather dim part of the building, she pointed to where she'd seen them, well I didn't see anything for a bit, but yes there was movement in the place where she said, and they were angelic forms.
I stared at the place where this was happening getting my eyes accustomed to the dimness of the light.
Yes angels were certainly moving, they were painted on a panel which happened to be a secluded doorway to a back room in the cathedral whioch a priest was holding onto as he was making his way into the cathedral, whilst having a conversation with another priest behind the screen, which was constantly being moved. Women, what can you do with them?
