Title: Opportunity
Post by: jcsogls on December 10, 2005, 02:16:32 PM
About a month ago I took some pictures of a beach area that had a lighthouse. Some of the pictures came out rather well. My wife has some favorites that she printed out. She took some to work with her and hugh them up on her office bulletin board.

Apparently people have been coming in and complimenting my pictures. One nurse came in saw the pictures and ask my wife if I would consider taking a family portrait of her family for CHRISTmas. My wife asked me and I said yes.

I'm a bit nervous. I mean the Nurse knows I'm not a perfessional but still I would like them to come out well. Now this brings up some complications I dont have any lighting equipment or that white screen that goes in front of the llights (lamps). So I am wondering, can someone give me suggestions on how to make this as much as a success that I can.

I want to do as good of a job as I can with the resources that I have..I have a Camera and I have a Tripod.

God Bless

Rich

I don't know the weather where you are, but if you can swing outdoor pictures, that may help.  And don't be afraid to use the flash on your camera (if it has one). some of my best shots were made with the onboard flash and the camera set at  fully automatic.

Also, if you want to invest a few bucks, a trip to Home Depot/Lowe's/Local Hardware store to buy a couple of standard "clamp" lights can help as well.

Whatever you decide, I'm sure you will do great!!

Let us know how it goes.
