Title: Wedding Photography Training on my Blog
Post by: geofft on July 10, 2011, 05:28:35 AM
Hi Folks, I am a member of this forum but have not been too involved as I have trouble posting images,  although I have in the past.I am recently retired now from the work force and have a little more time on my hands notwithstanding my wife and I doing regular babysitting of our 3 grandchildren.I have for many years(since 1975) been a part time wedding photographer as well as being in regular full time employment. In recent days I have decided on my blog to progressively put up for free what I have learned over the years as a wedding photographer. I have actually trained many people in wedding photography, some have become very successful. My blog also has my thoughts about Christianity as well as other miscellaneous stuff about Photography and Australia. I live in Adelaide South Australia. So if anyone is an aspiring wedding photographer or wanting to do photography as more than a hobby what I put there may be useful albeit with an Australian flavour. We all use the same cameras and we are all people made in our Creator's image. Christian love from Geoff T .

Geoff, I'm sure folks will learn a lot from your blog, whether it's for weddings or other purposes.  Thanks you for providing it.

If you have trouble posting photos here, please let me know what kind of problem you're having and I'll see if I can straighten things out for you.

Thanks Jeanne lee. I notice there are already some from the forum have had a look. I will have another go later to put some photos up to this forum. I started to enter the latest competition but got stuck. I unofficially covered a wedding for a couple who got married in our Church yesterday as they had no photographer assigned to it so now have work on stills and some video to do. I do get surprising hits from all around the world on my blog but the majority are from America followed by Australia. Thanks again and I may talk to you later about posting. Have a great week everyone who might read this.As I said to someone yesterday Resurrection Power is the greatest power in the world and we have access to this as Christians.I also noted Resurrection Power is very quiet. No one was there when Jesus was raised from the dead. None the less He is ever involved in our lives and interceding. regards Geoff t

Way to go, Geoff. I am probably your number one fan here in Christian Photographers.
I love what you are doing - sharing your experience and talent in photography.
(I am also a retired wedding photographer and have two granddaughters.)

Blessings,

Mario

Hi Mario,

thanks for your post. I came across one of your posts a few weeks ago and took the trouble to look up your blog or website.I felt we had a lot in common so thanks for the encouragement. Will be posting some more stuff by the end of Friday this week.Grandchildren are such a blessing and I love documenting their progress. I don't post their photos though as I have a problem with wanting to share stuff with the world but very jealous as much as I can be of people's privacy.

christian love
