Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

Yes Judy, I do like Carman's Music, and the champion is one great song, As well as Joshua The Shout of Victory. I think my favourite song of all time is not Christian, its from a band called Magazine, and sung by Howard Devoto, called The Rainy Season, and its on youtube. I like Shot By Both Sides, and, My Mind Ain't So Open, also by Magazine.

tough, tough, since I love lots of music. though one worship song that has stuck with me since i learned it when I was 15 is the song "Everyday" the one that starts off with "what to say Lord it's, You who gave me life and I can't explain just how, much You mean to Me....."

the Newsboys "He Reigns" is great and tobymac's "Lose My Soul"

Yes Toby Mac Loose My Soul.  There are a lot that are good of Toby Mac's.  Also Mandesa.  Sha has a wonderful way of expressing her music and worshipping God.

THere is another I'm Not Who I was.   It expresses the journey I have taken in the past 5 years. By Brandon Heath

Brandon Heath - I'm Not Who I Was Lyrics

I wish you could see me now
I wish I could show you how
I'm not who I was
I used to be mad at you
A little on the hurt side too
But I'm not who I was

I found my way around
To forgiving you
Some time ago
But I never got to tell you so

I found us in a photograph
I saw me and I had to laugh
You know, I'm not who I was
You were there, you were right above me
And I wonder if you ever loved me
Just for who I was

When the pain came back again
Like a bitter friend
It was all that I could do
To keep myself from blaming you

I reckon it's a funny thing
I figured out I can sing
Now I'm not who I was
I write about love and such
Maybe 'cause I want it so much
I'm not who I was

I was thinking maybe I
I should let you know
I am not the same
But I never did forget your name
Hello

Well the thing I find most amazing
In amazing grace
Is the chance to give it out
Maybe that's what love is all about

I wish you could see me now
I wish I could show you how
I'm not who I was

Toby Mac Loose My Soul.  Many don't like Rap, but rap tells a story.  Here it is.

Father God, I am clay in your hands
Help me to stay that way through all life's demands
'Cause they chip and they nag and they pull at me
And every little thing I make up my mind to be
Like I'm gonna be a daddy whose in the mix
And I'm gonna be a husband who stays legit
And I pray that I'm an artist who rises above
the road that is wide and filled with self love
Everything that I see draws me
Though it's only in You that I can truly see
that its a feast for the eyes - a low blow to purpose
And I'm a little kid at a three ring circus

I don't want to gain the whole world and lose my soul
Don't wanna walk away let me hear the people say
(I like that there)
I don't want to gain the whole world and lose my soul
Don't wanna walk away let me hear the people say

'Mr. Franklin, step up to the mic sir.'
'Check it out.'
The paparazzi flashes and that they think that it's you
But they don't know that who you are is not what you do
True, we get it twisted when we peak at the charts
Yo before we part from the start where's your heart?
You a pimp, hustler?
Tell me what's your title
America has no more stars now we call them idols
You sit idle
While we teach prosperity
The first thing to prosper should be inside of me
We're free!
Not because of 22's on the range
But Christ came in range we said yes now we changed
Not the same even though I made a fall
Since I got that call no more Saul now I'm Paul
'Yup'

I don't want to gain the whole world and lose my soul
Don't wanna walk away (I like this!) let me hear the people say
I don't want to gain the whole world and lose my soul
Don't wanna walk away let me hear the people say
Don't wanna walk away, walk away, walk away
'Mandisa come on!'

How do I sense the tide that's rising?
De-sensitizing me from living in light of eternity, eternity
(Watch me now)
How do I sense the tide that's rising?
(The tide is rising ya'll)
It's hypnotizing me from living in light of eternity, tell me
How do I sense the tide that's rising?
De-sensitizing me (It's makin' me drown) from living in light
Livin' in light of eternity

Lord what we gonna do?
We're relyin' on you
All eyes are on you Lord
All eyes are on you
All eyes are on you Jesus
I don't wanna gain the whole world and loose my soul
Light a candle ya'll!
Lift it high ya'll, come on!

I don't wanna gain the whole world and loose my soul
'No prophit in gainin' the whole word and loose your soul, Yes sir'
I don't wanna gain the whole world and loose my soul
'Every knee shall bow, and every tongue confess'
This is my honesty, father won't you cover me.
'Come on!'
I don't wanna gain the whole world and loose my soul
'Lift 'em up ya'll, left'em up!'
Don't wanna walk away, and all His people say
I don't wanna gain the whole world, and loose my soul
No I, don't wanna loose, I don't wanna loose my soul.
'Come on!'

Lord forgive us when we get consumed
By the things of this world that fight for our love
(Yes Lord) and our passion (Yes Lord)
As our eyes are open wide and on you (Talk to 'em)
Grant us the privelage of your world view
And my your kingdom be
What wakes us up, and lays us down

Hallelujah, hallelujah
(No, don't let me loose my soul)

There are so many wonderful hymns and songs.  Sadly, a lot are hidden away in the Salvation Army Songbook, especially those by Albert Orsborn.

However, I'll say that Stuart Townend's "In Christ Alone" is one of my favourites.

Another very special one in dark times is "Somebody Prayed For Me"

When my heart was so broken that I could not pray;
When love wasn't easy to see,
Someone was there, somebody cared,
Somebody prayed for me.

Somebody went to the throne of heaven;
Somebody lifted my name,
Bringing me into God's holy presence,
Saying what I could not say.
Somebody showed me the face of God's mercy
When darkness was all I could see.
Somebody pleaded the blood of Jesus,
Somebody prayed for me.

When the future looked hopeless, and I'd given up;
When I had lost sight of my dreams,
Someone drew near, dried every tear.
Somebody prayed for me.
