Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

SEEN BETTER DAYS

I've been passing this old barn for about seven years every time I go south to Virginia or come north to Guelph and it's just getting more sad to see. Even the big tree growing out of the roof on the right has no leaves this year.  I love old barns and wonder what stories they could tell if they could.

Taken just south of Springville, NY

Thanks Buddy!  I love that barn but it sure is nearly falling down now.

I know you like old barns, This is one of your best!

There used to be one on my way to Saratoga that kept getting worse for about 7 or 8 years.  It even had a fading sign for fresh eggs for sale.  Then it was gone, sign and all.  That was before the days of digital cameras, so no pictures.   :(

That's sad, Jeanne.  Wish you had taken a photo of it but alas, we don't think of the days when it will be gone!

Thanks Judy!

Pat, these days, with digital cameras, I would probably be taking pictures of the process as it deteriorated.  But back then I never gave it a thought.

It's beautiful, Pat. It looks like a setting for a mystery movie.

I love old barns and houses also but they are getting harder to find.

Great shot Pat!

The old barns had character, and so many were the workmanship of true craftsmen.  Today, the relatively few that replace those old behemoths, they are mostly made of cheap framing and composite or steel siding.  Functional?  Yes.  Rustic, or romantic in a western way?  A resounding "NO!"  I am pretty sure I was born a hundred years too late  :-\
