Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

I've been experimenting with taking photos of water drops. BigSkyKen has encouraged me to upload some here. I haven't been able to post anything into my gallery at this point, so will put one in here.

Oh wow they are beautiful!  Well taken !

Betty

Thanks for the encouragement. I'm still learning, and probably try them every month or so. There are so many things that we can take photographs of - God's handiwork is evident everywhere.

I am looking forward to seeing more of your photos.   These are great!

Yes they are truly amazing shots Betty, I wish I could do something amazing like that.

Thanks Marilyn. I didn't think I would ever be able to do it either. I learned how by watching some videos, and reading some ideas from  the internet. I'd still like to learn how to do some where you see the two drops colliding. Maybe some day:)

Another one. I did this into a glass. I already had a soap bubble sitting on top of the glass.

Really nice work.    How do you do it?

Hi, I started by following the video by Gavin Hoey - ► 6:51► 6:51
www.youtube.com/watch?v=fwExpFDUC9Y
Basically, the set up is a plastic bag with water in it, hanging over a pan with water in it, and a hole is put in the bag by a pin so that you get a drip. My camera is on a tripod and my flash is off of the camera aimed at the background. As the drips hit the water, i snap the picture. All of the settings are on manual.I think the best would be for you to look at his video which gives very basic instructions. I've played with the backgrounds and with using milk so far. I' ve also "blown" a bubble on the surface of the water for the drop to go through. There's still a long way I could go in learning how to do this. I'd really like to take a photo of two water drops colliding. This would take more sophisticated water drop equipment ... I'm hoping my husband can help with some of it.

I'd say you are well on your way.
