Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Carol: My husband Don is with the angels.....Our family was able to hold  ourselves together for the last moments.  Juar rhoufhr you might want to know. 2022-04-29, 23:35:15

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

Really nice detail in the middle of that flower Deb.

Love the colours too.

Thanks Karen and Pat!

Chrissy Siggee from FaithWriters has agreed to let me use some of her poetry in my photos. I was working on one with this flower last night. I'll post it here as soon as I get Chrissy's approval regarding the way I edited her poem. (It was too long to use the whole poem, so I picked a few fitting lines. I want to make sure she is ok with the changes before showing it online. :) )

Maybe Chrissy Siggee would like to visit our site?  Is she interested at all in photography?

Some on our site here don't do photography so she'd be welcome.

I'll let her know about the site. I'm sure how interested she is in photography though. We chat through instant messaging all the time, so she knows I'm trying to grow as a photographer. The other day she said I should insert some of my short devotionals or poems into my pics. I told her that would be nice ~ if I had any! (I mostly just write short fiction on FaithWriters) She was sweet enough to send me links to several of her poems with permission to use them.  :)

That's so nice of her Deb!

Now I'm looking forward to seeing them.

Of course if the poem is long, in order for us to be able to read it, you'll have to post a large photo.

Here's the picture with the added text. I used the lighter flower that had purple and green, because it was easier to crop out the ugly leaves on it, plus it had more glistening water drops, which I thought made it look nicer.  :)

I'd like to redo it with a slightly lighter shade of purple for the lettering. I think it would be easier to read. Just being too lazy to go back and fix it up yet. lol

Oooh, I do have her permission to use her poems and was thinking to add her credits in the caption, but I should probably add a 'by Chrissy Siggee' to the bottom of the poem as well, huh?  :-\

Here's a link to Chrissy's writing on FaithWriters. I'm sure she would love it if anyone expressed interest in using her writing for their photos. She's new to writing, so she's a little lacking in confidence, but her writing is improving fast. It would make her day to know that someone liked her work. :)

That macro is indeed striking.  And the poetry with it definitely adds to it.  Thank you for sharing these lovely things!

Amazing photography as well as the poem.  I will be visiting your friend's site soon.

Debboggy

Thanks Judy! :) I'm sure Chrissy would be glad to know you like her writing.

Maybe you have more to share with us?

Actually, I have been so wrapped up in my camera that I haven't written much lately, so I haven't read much on FaithWriters either. But everyone is welcomed to go to FaithWriters on their own to check out Chrissy's poetry as well as the work of tons of other great writers.  :)

I do have tons of pictures, just been lazy posting. Is there still a four a day limit in the gallery? I could post some tonight...

Great Post some more!  I love the perspective you have with all your work.

Debboggy

Thanks Judy, that's very nice of you to say.  :)
