Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Hello All! I have been so busy and not been here for a while. I am so thankful to have things to be busy with though.

My son received a "butterfly garden" for his birthday this year. It was fun. You order the caterpillars (they come in a container) where you watch and wait until they are in their cocoons, then you transfer them to the garden house thing. You watch them there for a while and feed them then let them go. Once they "hatched" we observed them for 2-3 days then we let them go.

They quickly found their way to a tree a few yards away after release.

I think I saw one the other day. I guess they sometimes stay in the area for a while. My son was outside with me, so it was pretty neat to see it and point it out to him, he thought that was pretty neat.

Thanks for looking!

How many different butterflies did you get?  This is a wonderful project for children.

You have captured their expressions beautifully  Wonder and Awe!

Thanks.

There was four, maybe five butterflies. They were all "painted ladies". It was wonderful for them (and Mom and Dad enjoyed it too!)

That is a neat idea and something everyone can enjoy. Nice series of images, thanks for sharing this. Something to keep in mind as a gift for the youngsters.
