Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

IrfanView

IrfanView is a free program that you can easily use to prepare your pictures for posting on Christian Photographers.

1.   Download the latest version of IrfanView here:
http://www.irfanview.net/

2.   Follow the installation instructions.
If you have an older version it will automatically install over it.

3.   Open IrfanView

4.   Browse your computer for the picture you wish to work with.  Click on "Open", the picture will open in Irfanview.

5.   Click on Image and on Resize/Resample

6.   Set new size – enter 640 for the largest measurement.  Be sure Preserve Aspect Ratio is checked

7.   Click on File and Save for Web

8.   You will see two of your picture.  Under the frame on the left you will see the original file size.  Under the frame on the right is the new file size.

9.   If the new file size is more than 175.0 KB you can either click on the button "Compress to Size" and enter a number less than 175 or slide the "Quality" button to the left until the number is below 175.0

10.   Click on "Save as" and save your picture with a new name, to a place on your computer you will be able to find readily.  (I opened a folder "Irfan Pics")

11.   The photo is now ready to upload to a remote site for posting on Christian Photographers.
