That's a really interesting article.  When I am teaching folks about travel photography I am always telling them to get detail shots - these are images which add flavour to any slideshow or album presentation.

However on of the things that the article mentions that I don't do very often the idea of capturing sound and using it as part of a slide show.  In fact I can only think of one time when I have done this in recent years.  It was as part of this travelogue video from when I lecturing on photography aboard the MV Marco Polo - and then it's really a bit of a cheat I just let the live music from one of the video sections run under the slideshow section.
