Angel Biscuits

2 1/2 cups Flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup shortening
1/4 cup warm water
1 cup buttermilk
1 pkg. dry yeast

Dissolve the yeast in the warm water and set aside. Mix dry ingredients in the order given and cut in the shortening. Stir in the buttermilk and water/yeast mixture.
Blend well and bake right away or put in a covered bowl and refrigerate.
Roll out on a floured board and cut into biscuits. Place into a greased pan and let rise slightly.
Bake at 400 F. 10-12 minutes.
