Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

We received news that a dear friend, Al Gallant, has an aggressive form of cancer.  It started in his lungs and has spread to his spine.  He has lost an incredible amount of weight, 180+ down to 120ish.  He has been having radiation and is starting chemo next week.  He and his wife Marg have been told this will not be a cure, rather a way to extend his life.....

We have been asked to visit soon, before Christmas.  It is as if Marg knows something and was trying to communicate that to John.

They have only one child, a daughter, as well as 3 grand daughters.

Larry Hanna

Judy, I will certainly pray for healing for your friend Al.

Janet

I will pray for Al and his wife and daughter, Judy.

Thank you, Judy for letting me know.... I remember him from your John's birthday party. I will definitely keep him and his family in prayer.

JudyB

Thanks folks.  We are going to see him tomorrow.

Ruth Ann Bice

I, too, will be praying, Judy.

We saw Al on Sunday.  He has a weak voice, and is very thin.  He had no symptoms of cancer in July when we saw him last July.  It was a good visit, and lots of memories came out.  Today was his first chemo and he came home tired.  So John told him to "Go to bed then!"  LOL Trust my hubby to be direct!

Thank you for praying and please continue.

We were to visit Al yesterday.  Since the spring he has gone downhill quite rapidly.  He is now on oxygen. he has lost a lot of weight, and is on a heavier dose of Chemo.  The cancer has moves to his hip, and that is causing terrible pain. As a result he will be going for a shot of Radiation which will relieve the pain.

Marg's biggest concern is, "What do I do if something happens at night when everyone is asleep?"  Marg is trying to keep up to her schedule before Al became sick and the additional demands on her time now.  She is tired and concerned that she won't be able to keep up..

Please pray for both of them, as they approach these last days of Al's life.

Ruth Ann Bice

Thank you for the update, Judy. Prayers for Al are in order.

I will definitely be praying for Al and his family. Praying for healing, the sense of God's presence, calm and peace, to be felt by all concerned.
Search me oh God, and know my heart. Teach me and know my anxious thoughts. Look for the hurtful ways in me, and lead me in the way...everlasting.

JudyB

Thank you Folks.  They appreciate you praying!

JudyB

Please keep praying for Marg......Al is in the Hospital, and they are taking him off all Chemo and cancer medications.  He is very weak and has difficulty breathing.  The end is in sight......Marg is having to make very difficult decisions about how Al is going to be cared for, whether at home by her or in a hospice situation or perhaps have someone come in and stay with him at nights so she can rest.  These are very difficult decisions for a person to make.  She is very tired and I don't think she is resting at night when she does go to bed.

Janet

So many are facing difficult decisions.  I pray each one turns to Jesus for answers and He grants them wisdom and sweet peace and rest.

We found out last night that Al has passed away.  Thank you for praying and please keep his wife, daughter, her husband and the grandchildren in prayer as they walk through these difficult times.

JudyB

The funeral will likely be on Wednesday.

Ruth Ann Bice

I'm saddened to learn of Al's death. May our Lord comfort family and friends.
