Satans grip on me....please pray

What an absolute rotten night.......well week. Please pray for some strength to overcome him.

I have been planning on photographing a Promise Keepers event here in Mississauga last night and as the week started I began spiraling downward ( I suffer/live with Bipolar disorder)

So here I am in a pit and it took all I could muster to make it out to this event.

I have been to the Hershey Center once before and I have driven by it a few times but tonight I get lost...took the wrong cutoff and ended up somewhere on some parkway.

I find my way back with my GPS ( which I should have used to begin with) and I get situated at the Center. I go up to the staff room for a bite to eat before the event and relax over a nice supper. Thats when he started to put the screws to me, I got this urge just to head back home. Period. I fight the urge and continue on with the night. The whole time I'm not wanting to be there BUT I shoot anyway, not even hearing the message. The first speaker finishes and once again I get ready to pack it in. I'm on my way out when I get stopped by a PK manager telling me how thankful he is that I'm there and that he cant wait to see some images.......I struggle BACK in there to do the job.


Great done that...then prayer time comes...all the guys up to the front...powerful image time right?? wrong...time for me to find out I lost my wedding band, I go to spin it on my finger and Its gone. immediate bad mood, I'm kinda freakin, instead of shooting I'm franticly looking all over for the ring. I calm down and pop off a few pics before I miss the whole thing then I rush to the bathroom and check the garbage ...yes the garbage for the ring. ( washed my hands...papertowel into the garbage) now Im just fuming, tired, broken. I wasted all this time and prime photo opps then I remember the flippin ring is on my front seat in the car. Satan got me.

I'm home now and burning the images to dvd's there are some awesome images but it was a constant internal battle to get the job done tonight.

I'm tired.

Awwww...  Mitchel, we've all been there!  I felt I was reliving events like yours with you.

I'm so happy that your ring wasn't lost and that you managed to get some good images.

WHERE do you live?  I'm up in Guelph!  It's nice to read Mississauga but I don't know where the Hershey Centre is.

I'm praying for you and this horrible malady--Bi-Polar.  The Lord can do wonderful things in lives and He can in yours and I'm going to pray for that for you!  God's ways are PERFECT!!

Mitchell I just came online and found your post.  I'm praying, along with Pat, that you can find peace and a place to rest in the Lord while He holds you in His everlasting arms of love.  There is such a place, you know.  God bless.

It must be all the prayer Ive had this past day or two. I had a wonderful day with my family. AND I went back to the PK event and bought the dvd from last night. I will be able to enjoy the show after all.
I WILL overcome satan with prayer and with the King of Kings on my side
