Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Carol: My husband Don is with the angels.....Our family was able to hold  ourselves together for the last moments.  Juar rhoufhr you might want to know. 2022-04-29, 23:35:15

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

Jane ~ Oh, my!  Rats in your walls and subfloor.  The first house my first husband and I lived in had mice everywhere but not rats.  I don't think I have ever known a rat was around unless it was in the corn crib in the barn when I was a kid.  And slugs.  I have never seen a slug either.  They are around here but I have never seen them.  But then, I have really never looked for rats or slugs.   ;)But you are right to keep a positive attitude and find humor in your problems with your water.  Crying doesn't help...just makes you sad.  But laughing makes you glad.

Pat ~ So glad you are back up and running.  Well, your computer at least.

I just heard on the news that 256 tornadoes were spotted this past week.  A record breaker.  The previous record was in the hundreds.  We have warnings here until 11pm.
Glad I have this tiny basement but then, I would have to know one is on its way to go to the basement.

Until Then

(Click to hear music)

Words and music by Stuart Hamblen

My heart can sing when I pause to remember
A heartache here is but a stepping stone
Along a trail that's winding always upward,
This troubled world is not my final home.

Chorus
But until then my heart will go on singing,
Until then with joy I'll carry on,
Until the day my eyes behold the city,
Until the day God calls me home.
The things of earth will dim and lose their value
If we recall they're borrowed for awhile;
And things of earth that cause the heart to tremble,
Remembered there will only bring a smile.

The things of earth will dim and lose their value
If we recall they're borrowed for awhile;
And things of earth that cause the heart to tremble,
Remembered there, will only bring a smile.

Chorus
But until then my heart will go on singing,
Until then with joy I'll carry on,
Until the day my eyes behold the city,
Until the day God calls me home.
The things of earth will dim and lose their value
If we recall they're borrowed for awhile;
And things of earth that cause the heart to tremble,
Remembered there will only bring a smile.

This weary world with all its toil and struggle
May take its toll of misery and strife:
The soul of man is like a waiting falcon--
When it's released, it's destined for the skies.

Chorus:
But until then my heart will go on singing,
Until then with joy I'll carry on,
Until the day my eyes behold the city,
Until the day God calls me home.
The things of earth will dim and lose their value
If we recall they're borrowed for awhile;
And things of earth that cause the heart to tremble,
Remembered there will only bring a smile.

Etta Sue ~ As you know, it won't make any difference if I know one is on its way or not! There isn't much of any place to go around here. I might lay under the mobile home and hope the wind misses it!(VBG)

Good evening, everyone!  I have been away for several hours.  Beth and I went to Hugoton, and both got treatments from the chiropractor there.  Then we picked up Abby and brought her home with us.  She stayed with Beth and I went to help decorate for the mother/daughter banquet at the Sr. Center, and didn't get back home until after 7 o'clock.  So now Abby is unhappy because it is too late to go swimming. :(

Pat, good to see you back online!

The Electrolux guy was just here, and for $228 he fixed our vacuum just like new!  WE have had it for over 9 years, so it needed some things, like a new hose, and a new brush.  He said the last ones he sold were over $1500! :o

Pat, thanks for fixing the dates!   :-[

There are so many posts here!  Had to skip over some.  Hope you're feeling much better, Pat.  Hello to Carol, Anthony and Larry.  I'll be thinking about you having your cardiac cath on Monday, Larry.  New procedures are being used now, so hope this one corrects the blockage.

Papa John - ain't no fun having back pain! :(   Vax-D is a non invasive treatment that you might want to consider.  You and Cornelia look so happy together! :)

Had fun with my good friend, Dottie, today at the Atlanta Mart.  Bought jewelry (inexpensive silver) and a few sample gift items.  Always enjoy going  as there are so many things to see.

I got a package in the mail today!! :D  It's a Mother's Day gift from my daughter Dot.  Wanna know what it is?   :P
A beautiful Foley bone china tea cup and saucer made in ENGLAND!!  Also a set of 3 cassette tapes on Contemplative Prayer by Fr. Thomas Keating.  Now I can listen to, contemplate on, communion with God while sipping tea from my own special tea cup!    ;)  Maybe I'll even have a fire in the stove and a candle or two flickering softly against the walls ....   Aaahhhh   Y'all are welcome to join me, but you'll have to bring your own tea cup!   :P

Take care ... I'm going to try to get hold of my sister, who lives in MO to see how she survived the tornadoes and other related storms of this week!    :o

PAT~ I really like that song ... Until then my heart will go on singing!!  That's the way I feel.  Life is good and God is "gooder" ... ALL THE TIME!
Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass .... it's about learning to dance in the rain!

Hello there, I think I will sign out for tonight, I am feeling down. This saddenss seems to come on when It gets close to mothers day,  I miss mine  :'(and I am alone with Jesus. Gilbert is the only one of my kids who ever calls me, the other 4 well that how that is.  I always seem to end up spending mothers day by myself. :'(

I swa a very large stray dog outside visiting Happydog a little while ago. So thin I could see her ribs. :'( That made so sad. I tried to sneak out the door to take her something to eat but she was skittish and ran off. I can't leave food outdoors because the coyotes would be in the yard before I knew it.  Happydog is back home and laying out in the driveway watching the cars go by.

Good Night to you all I'll see you tomorrow. Pray for me please. :'(
