Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Denise and Joan~ I'm sorry to be so remis in welcoming you to our cozy little gathering :-\  <I didn't see you come in!> ::)

I called about the class action suit re: the polybutylene pipe this morning and was told a couple other places to call and, finally, one of the plumbing companies here in town gave me the toll free number to call the company in Texas!  They also gave me a website I to check, where I should be able to access a claims form, etc.  The man said "You will find all the information you ever wanted to know and probably some you couldn't care less about"   ::)

Now ... If y'all will give me a few minutes I am going to try to get this matter taken care of.  I keep getting notifications whenever there's been a reply to one of the discussion's I'm watching.   Don't stop posting, tho! I'll just ignore my new mail for a while.   :P

Y'all take care now ... I'll be back d'rectly.

Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass .... it's about learning to dance in the rain!

Pat

I love the notifications, Jane.  Glad you do too!  Hope you get some good news about that pipe! :o

Yup, Pat,  I printed out the claim form that I need to mail but I'm stumped <for a while> because they want the date of the original plumbing installation and a copy of the title or first registration.  (Oh, I just noticed that or).  This is a manufactured home, so it is treated as a vehicle registration.  I can do this after all!    ::)  I made up a date for the original plumbing installation.    :-\

Well, I have a meeting this afternoon and I need to get ready, so I'll see y'all later!

Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass .... it's about learning to dance in the rain!

Jane, what is a "manufactured home"?  Aren't all homes manufactured? ??? :-\

"Click for Waterloo Wellington, Ontario Forecast"

Jane Walker

nope ... most are built   :P

This falls into the category of "mobile home" although it is not mobile.  They are registered and liscensed with the department of motor vehicles.

Good afternoon everyone...my but this is a busy little place is it not?
Very happy to see our two most recent members...welcome to each of you...
DENISE AND JOAN....I hope that is correct.
God bless each one of you as you enter into this family...we are pretty much relaxed and soooo happy to have new people come in....sit down with your tea or coffee and come share with us what the Lord has done in your lives if you wish to share......

well just stopped in for a few minutes....and will drop by later on. you all take care now and God be with you.
Paulette.

Nita

Welcome Denise and Joan!!  I'm glad you're here.

As in any family, you'll find those who talk a lot...and those who tend to just read more and say less.
::)     Now, you can find a spot in either group, and make yourself comfortable.

And I don't dare make comment to every one who posted, so I'll be like Anthony, and just say Howdie, partners. hehe

In my Bible reading today, I sort of landed in the Beatitudes again.   Jesus' teaching was so very radical..and still is today.   Humility is strength..  Can you imagine how the world might be if humility was practiced in all aspects of interaction between humans?

Have a blessed rest-of-the-day, dear hearts.
             love, nita

Anthony

Nita, the sermon on the Mount is a beautiful exhortation.  If the churches stuck to it we would probably see a revival.  Sometimes we think that the more noise we make, the more likelihood there will be of a revival coming, but it may be that the more we keep to the sermon on the mount, the more likelihood there is of it happening.

"Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven."

Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted."

Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be  filled."

etc, etc.

If we could only keep these words at the forefront.

(Pardon me for letting my mind run on a bit.)

Thanks for highlighting the passage Nita.

Anthony.

Marilyn

Well here I am from work. I have been here already a couple of times reading the posts then I would have to get back to work without posting anything, we got busy for a little bit there. Nothing is new here so will be back later.

It's so good to come back in and see all these posts! :D

We just got back from Liberal not long ago, and Abby is here.  he is watching "Bambi" now.  I still enjoy that cute movie!

Darrel is going to talk to the Boy Scouts at Hugoton tonight about Scuba, so Abby will go home with him when he goes.  She is having her first dance recital on Saturday night---should be a "Kodak moment!"

I'm going to check the other threads!

We felt the earthquake here in Nashville, too. My dog jumped on the bed and pawed to awaken me. Then, daughter called from her all-night shift at the hospital - she says the 11th floor nurses watched the floor shift under their feet. She wanted to know the pets and I were okay.

Thankfully, none of my Tennessee friends were injured. I've heard from several.

Y'all have a good day.

...his compassions fail not.  They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

Janet

Sonja, Abby says she is in both tap and ballet!  Now she wants to dance for me, so I'd better get ready to watch!

Pat, a manufactured home is also sometimes called a modular home.  They build them at the factory then move them to the lot where they will stand.  Sometimes you might see them on the road---in two halves!
My book Rising Above available at JanetDamon.com

Pat

Thanks for the info re "manufactured" homes.  I just haven't heard of that term in Canada but maybe it's here and I never knew.  The word "manufactured" means to me that it was "made" and all houses are made!  HAHAHAHA!

We learn new things every day!

Let's sing!

THE OLD RUGGED CROSS
(Click to hear music)

On a hill far away stood an old rugged cross,
The emblem of suffering and shame;
And I love that old cross where the dearest and best
For a world of lost sinners was slain.

Refrain
So I'll cherish the old rugged cross,
Till my trophies at last I lay down;
I will cling to the old rugged cross,
And exchange it some day for a crown.

O that old rugged cross, so despised by the world,
Has a wondrous attraction for me;
For the dear Lamb of God left His glory above
To bear it to dark Calvary.

In that old rugged cross, stained with blood so divine,
A wondrous beauty I see,
For 'twas on that old cross Jesus suffered and died,
To pardon and sanctify me.

To the old rugged cross I will ever be true;
Its shame and reproach gladly bear;
Then He'll call me some day to my home far away,
Where His glory forever I'll share.

Ivalou got her other eye lasered.  The courtesy car brought us back and Ivalou was starved.  She hadn't eaten but a light breakfast this morning.  Soooo we went to Red Lobster.  I had the best coconut fried shrimp and baked potato.  And there biscuits.....yum yum!    So we go back next Tuesday for the cataract surgery.  Then Wednesday for the check-up.  Got to get her fixed up so she can see the sites going to Calgary and back in August.

My but all of you have been talkative today!  Whew!  Plus you had lots to say, too!  What time of day was the earthquake?  I didn't feel anything here but then I might have still been asleep since I slept in a little this morning.

Gotta go and get caught up!

Jerry L. Sowers

Janet ~ The difference between a modular and a manufactured home, actually is a modular is manufactured and hauled on a trailer and unloaded and assembled on site!  A manufactured home is actiually a mobile home, like the old double wides. They pull them as you say on the roads in halves to the site and sit them on the foundation and fasten the two sides together after taking the axles off and the tongues!  They then become stationary and in some states are the same as a house and no longer classified as a mobile home! My mobile home even with the axles off and it does have the tongue off is still classified as a mobile home. I am glad I never wanted to drive truck bad enough to more than just very casually talk to National Mobile home movers about buying a tote and hauling mobile homes when I was young and senseless. (VBG) I am still senseless , but not so young any more.

Pat ~ It means manufactured as in a factory and not  made on the foundation. It comes with everything and is ready to move into in a short time frame.

Sonifo

Etta Sue~~You are so lucky.  I love Red Lobster.  One of my favorite places to eat.

Jerry~~ thanks for the info.  I didn't even know the difference.

Carol

Sonja:  It is good to see you back!  I hope that Zachery is doing well.

Anthony:  I could call the physical an annual check-up if that would help identify what I did yesterday.   :)

Welcome Denise and Joan!

Thank you for today's song, Pat.  It was an old favorite for my parents.

Well then, Jerry, we have several companies here who build the houses in a huge factory right near to where I live too.  One is Royal Homes and they are just superb homes.  No weather ever gets into them before they are put onto the foundations and lived in.  Carpet and all is installed at the factory.

I am so upset. I just was on the news a story about an abandoned horse they found that had been severly beaten and was 150 lbs under weight. How can people be so cruel to Gods creatures? That is so sinful. in Proverbs 12:10 it says "A righteous man has regard for the life of his beast."
The horse was in such back shape that they had toput it down.

Papa John

Well, it HAS been a full day here.  I printed French Award certificates for Martha.  I also made birthday greetings for all the May birthdays at the Nursing home.  I visited an old friend who has become an invalid.  It was our time to take food to a lady who has been sick so Cornelia cooked and we delivered later this afternoon.

Marilyn, you are right about people who mistreat their animals.  It IS a crime here in Tennessee and now and then someone is prosecuted and spends some time in jail for abusing animals.
Prov 12:10  A righteous man regards the life of his animal, but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel.  (NKJ)

Pat, the back is still giving me trouble but it will get better.  It always has.  We will see if the doctor finds out anything with the MRI.  Thanks for asking but don't worry it will get better.  It always has.

Welcome to the new members.

Good to see everyone.  I hope you all have a good night's rest.  Many people around here felt the earthquake this morning but we did not.
