Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

Marilyn ~ I have tried to remain friends and in touch with those from my old days. I e-mail those I know have computers and I do this in the hopes of making a difference in their lives and they too, will except Christ into their lives. My old life wasn't very nice and as I have changed, I hope to help all my old buddies to change. If they will change, then maybe they in turn can help some of their friends to except Christ and also change! I believe this is one of our jobs as christians.

About green tea, I heard a news item this week where the doctor speaking said they had done a study about persons drinking one substance. Among those substances tested was tea.

The study lasted 5 weeks. The purpose was to analyze blood studies to see if any of the substances had antibacterial qualities. Each participant drank 5 servings of their assigned substance per day.

Those who drank as many as 5 cups of tea daily showed that their blood had more bacteria fighting qualities after only two weeks than the others and the data held true through the end of the study.

Now, folks, I own a brown, notched mug that a friend gave me. Its message:

"I'M A BAG LADY!"[/b][/color]

Now, I'm thankful I've always loved tea.  ;D

My husband and I bought our first mobile home in 1963 and it was moved to about 25 feet from where I am sitting.  West of Mom and Dad's house at the time.  We hooked into their septic system and well.  We got our own electric.  We divorced and hubby #2 and I had the mobile home moved to Greenfield 25 miles away.  The only thing moved inside in the 25 miles was a shoe box from a shelf in a closet fell to the floor.  Hubby #2 and I lived in that mobile home until we bought a new one in 1988.  Lived in the same spot...different mobile home.  I moved here to this house when I inherited it from Mom after her death in January 2001and then 2002, I sold the mobile home to Jerry and he had it moved to Pendleton.  So I am home here and when I go to Jerry's, I am home again.  Mobile home living is less maintenance than houses....believe me!!

I checked my NIV Franklin Bible.  'Fear not' is in 48 books of the Bible.  I didn't check which ones it was in and NOT in.  Very interesting though.

Sounds like I am missing something....I have never had green tea.  Is it instant, tea bags or leaf tea?  Will check this out when I go to the store.

I should have mowed the grass today.  Didn't.  I visited with Ivalou twice....she was here once and I went there once.  I read while sitting in my lawn swing.  I got sleepy.  I read lying on my couch.  I went to sleep.  Good nap.  I still have windows open but it is suppose to rain tonight.  I should have mowed the grass today....

I added a new little icon to the main page of our site.

Would you all click on the link to our main page and scroll down to the dark blue icon below the bottom photo and vote?

I'm not sure if it's working yet.  So as many as possible can vote.  10 is best and 0 is worst.

Pat, that is a neat little icon and I think I might have been the first to submit a rating for us.

Marilyn

We had a realy good Bible study tonight. All about what the Blood does for us. ie redeems us, justifies us, cleanses us etc etc. Aslo a comparison study of the Blood Covenant between the OT and the NT.Pat great little icon, I voted too.
Good night all. Back to my crocheting. I am making arm covers for my chair, one is finished and I just started the other.

Hi Marilyn...  Did you vote on both icons?  There's two now!

Both are separate.

We need to do things to get our site "known" on the internet.

Thanks Everyone!

Ive voted.  It just occurred to me that I have been reading NEM several times a day adn posting in other forums, but not in here that much.  I'm thinking stuff to write though, so maybe ya'll should just read my mind or something.

Now, I've forgotten what I came in here to say! :-\

karmat

I remembered, I remembered!! (Yea, I coulda edited my post, but that wouldn't have been as dramatic, now would it).

I truly strive to do "all that I do for the glory of God" including my entries on DPChallenge.  Sometimes, it is easy, sometimes not.  For this week's challenge, multi-image composition, I had a "Christian" idea, and executed it. My score is dismal -- 5.1, though it did almost go to the fours, and I only have 2 comments so far, but they have made my week.  The first one said
Quote(Title of shot goes here)I am healed!!! Thanks for the reminder Sister, Brother.
You did a great job on this.
and the second one said
QuoteI have no words to tell you how much this has touched me...
.

Score or no score, those were awesome, I thought.  it would have been nice to have a ribbon for this one, but I knew with the heavily Christian content, it was not to be.  (There are some voters who have admitted to giving shots with crosses and flags a low score jsut because they have crosses and flags).  Anyway, thanks for letting me share.

I'm not a really active member, but I like Cross Daily a lot. You may see some familiar sounding posts there from a lady named "Quiet-Faith..."

Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass .... it's about learning to dance in the rain!

Larry~that is good that your neighbors will be paying for your door.  How nice of her to come and apoligize.  It would be nice if everyone was like that.

Papa John~That is ok.  I didn't even noticed you called him Jeffery. lol...
Are things back to normal now that you have been home a week?

Ruth Ann~ thanks for the info on the tea.  I am not much of a tea drinker but after hearing that I think I might start.

I thought about cream in the tea.  Has anyone tasted it that way?

Pat~How do we archieve the results to the voting?

Karmat~that is great.  It always helps to get just those few comments that make your day or week.  I think I know which one is yours.  I haven't voted yet. hmmm...I think? I had a feeling it was yours when I seen it.  My oldest son made a comment he thought it was neat that someone in dpc wasn't afraid to show their christainity.
BTW how is little Travis doing?  Lila is still cutting her last teeth.  What did you do to get them out?  Did you use a leathermen and yank them out?! hehehe...just kidding.
:-X ;) ;D ;D

karmat

TAS didn't have a problem, thankfully.  They just popped through.  He seems to be suffering from allergies, but not too badly.  One allergist told my sister that Western NC was the worst place for an allergy sufferer to live because we have such a large variety of trees and plants, and stuff.   ::)  I, for one, keep a runny nose from about the middle of march to the middle of June and fro the end of August to the middle of October. 8)

Pat

What a lovely couple of comments, Karma!  I must go and have a look and see if I can find yours!

Now, it's that time again--time to lock the door but leave a light on in here for those that might come after.
