JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

You have all been so faithful in NEW... much more than I ever could be.

This has been a "yucky" day for both Norm and I.  I was finally able to contact my physician to see if he could strengthen my pain pills, which he did.  Hopefully I will get the relief I need.

I haven't even dressed today...do any of you spend the day in your PJ's?  I seldom do that., as I don't like that to be a habit.

Now, what can I find for supper?  Bacon and eggs are always a good standby.  Guess thats what it will be tonight.  I'm sure I'll be able to find room for some dessert and tea later on in the evening.

Do you have Good Friday services in your churches tomorrow?  I'm hoping to get to one.  The local Pentecostal church nearby always has "The Last Supper" presentation.  Costumes and lighting are spectacular.  I hate to miss it.

Love to all., and a blessed Easter if I don't get back here before Sunday!

The only thing going on in this little town for Good Firday is the Soup supper and communion at the Communtiy Church, then after that the Regents always come to put on a concert there.
Those soup Suppers are delicious there are 5 kinds of soup garlic bread and desert. They do the communion first.

Anthony

It's been another helpful day of fellowship on C.P. today.  I am just about to go to bed and try to get some sleep ::)

Judy, I am sorry that you have been in so much pain.  It must be difficult for you both.  The church that I attend is not having a service on Good Friday and for some reason I never attend other churches very much. So I will just spend a quiet night in.  I do hope that you manage to get out to a service.

Marilyn, I never listen to much gospel music.  I was once a member of christian music club and some of the CD's I bought are very nice to listen to.  Has anyone heard Steve Green sing?  I like many of his songs and the words are very good.

Sonja, I knew you couldn't keep away from this place ;)

Ah well, sorry if I have missed anyone and see you all later.

Anthony.

Good evening everyone!  I hope you all had a great day.  It was our last day at work for the week, we're closed for Good Friday.  It'll be nice to have a long weekend.  Do you all have elaborate plans for the Easter weekend?  We have our family together, plus a guest.  The year that Hannah was born, she was an Easter baby, March 31st that year.  And we had a snowstorm on her birthday that year too!

Ben was born Christmas Eve, Allison was born the May long weekend.  So that's three of their six kids that were born on holidays!  I'm just ordinary ;).

I just popped in to say hello, I don't want to stay too long since we do have a guest here.  Pat, how did your appointment go?  Talk to you all later.  Jen.

Janet

You have all been busy while I was away!  We got home this afternoon around 3:00.

It was a rather frustrating trip, since we don't know any more about Beth's condition than before.  After spending FOUR LONG HOURS  :-\ >:( in the waiting room, we talked to her surgeon for maybe five minutes.  He said the nerves in her back need more time to heal, and that about two weeks from now, she should start physical therapy to help her regain her mobility.

They did the nuclear scans of her thyroid, and another sonogram.  She has another appointment on April 28th.  Maybe we will learn more then.  (I hope!)

Meika, you are such a pretty girl!  Please tall us more about yourself, and ask any questions you want.  You get good answers here, and also good support.  This is a loving group! :D

I just wanted to tell you all that I'm back home; and now I am going to see the new photos that have been posted since my last visit!

Marilyn~Yes that is me on my homepage.  It is my very first selfportrait I took.  I had some painting effects to it to make it look like a painting.  Thank you I am glad you liked it.  I am still working on my website.  It takes lots of work.  I usually mess with it at nite or early morning.

Anthony~Yes it is hard to stay away.   ;D

Well, as we wind down our Florida stay today we took a short two hour cruise on a sail boat.  It was very nice.  We had a good wind but not bad.  We sailed out of the inner water way and out in the Gulf of Mexico.  We got plenty of wind and sun.

Good to see so many today.  I guess Anthony is sawing logs right now.  We are getting ready for our supper.  We will have bacon and tomato sandwiches which I really like.  We get good home grown tomatoes here and they are delicious.

As we sailed out in the Gulf today I thought of God's wonderful creation.  I saw the land and saw the sea.

Gen 1:9-10  And God said, "Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear." And it was so.  God called the dry ground "land," and the gathered waters he called "seas." And God saw that it  (NIV)

I hope you all have a restful night.

Hello everyone.  It hasn't been too busy since I left last, it looks like.

Anthony-my family is going to see Steve Green live tomorrow night.  I'm really looking forward to it, we have two of his cd's and he's an excellent musician.  Focused as well.

I may be presumptious, but I want to share a piece of poetry I particularly like.  It's simply titled, "Grace".

God, give me Your Grace,
It's sufficient for me.
Your Grace that abounds,
Because of death on a tree.
When storms rage against me,
I rest in that Grace.
When waves overwhelm me,
Grace lets me seek Your Face.
But during the good times,
Though good times seem few,
Let me always remember,
The Carptenter Jew.
Whose hands and feet were pierced,
Whose brow was pressed with thorns.
Who died to save all mankind,
From the sin into which we are born.
I know that all I stand upon,
Is the Grace of Christ, my all.
If that Grace were ever taken,
I would waver and fall.
But Your love and Grace feed my strength,
It composes this rock beneath my feet.
But that same Grace melted my heart,
With a glorious and radiant heat.
Now by Your Grace lead me on,
To share with others the place,
Where by one perfect Sacrifice,
There was the birth of Grace.

Lots of love, Jen.

Pat

Wow!  Where's Steve Green going to be tomorrow night, Paulette?

I went all the way to Ohio once to hear him sing (with Randy Blevins who used to live on Armstrong!!!)

Hi Larry Rockwell!

Glad to see that you managed to get re-registered!

We didn't get to know you very well before so why not tell us again where you are?  You're in language school??

Great to see you!

"Click for Waterloo Wellington, Ontario Forecast"

Pat

Thanks Larry!

We'll be remembering you in prayer.

We have a little area on the site for Missionaries and so it would be terrific if you'd like to tell us more about who you'll be with and how you're getting on with your language studies either in there or here...  Doesn't matter!

But if you have a prayer letter, we could put it in there if you send it to me.

Great to have you back!

mercychild ~ Lovely poem. I like to read good poems, but some that I have seen of late aren't very well structured.

Larry Rockwell, Your mission sounds very interesting! I hope to hear more from you, as you can post!

Pat

Jerry, I've had such a busy day today, I've just gone back to read all the posts I missed and how I enjoyed your Daily Encounter today.

Thanks so much.

We've come to the end of yet another day.  Tomorrow is Good Friday!  Will you be attending special services in your church?

I won't be home tomorrow night so, we'll just keep this New Every Morning going along till I get home.

Please feel free to continue the discussion in the new thread tonight.  We have a few out west folks so they aren't going to bed yet!
