Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

Well, my goodness., Pat dosen't miss a thing does she?  LOL - actually, I had to ask Pat for help getting in here., but with her instructions, it was a "snap"!

I have missed you all so much.  Norm and I took a week's vacation last week, going to Lancaster PA.  It was a terrific time, with a Christian tour company.  There were 156 of us on the tour, and thats was the first time we had gone with a Christian organization.  It really makes a difference being with Christians.  We were from many diverse backgrounds, but all were born again.  One of the best parts of the trip was the massive prayer meeting that was held, and the hymn sing.  Several of the hotel employees asked to join in, and they certainly heard the gospel.

We were told that two of the employees asked for prayer, and asked the Lord into their hearts.

I haven't accomplished near what I needed to do today, I'm still trying to rest up.

Its great seeing so many here, and new faces as well.

Love,

Judy

Pat, I am delighted to see the new topics you have established.  I had been having some thoughts along these same lines, especially the links to valuable Christian resources.  A suggestion for a little later after we have had a significant number of links identified would be to put them together on a supporting webpage for quick reference.  However, I suppose if we put the link name in the title of the new topic (which I believe you suggested for each new item) perhaps that would serve the same purpose.

Congratulations and thanks Karma for agreeing to help Pat with this new section of discussions.

Well, Howdy everyone!

I had to re-register to get in here but it did work.  I also have a new e-mail address - CShovein@yahoo.com

We have been terribly busy since we made the decision not to build in the mountains and staying right here.  I have been unpacking and it is almost like Christmas because I had forgotten so many little things.  Now, is that not a strong hint that I need to get rid of some more earthly things?

There may be some medical concerns for Don but we are not going to let it affect our lives and our committment to Trust in the Lord.

Just keep up your wonderful daily guides.

Thanks ever so much for this site.

Carol

Pat

Oh, Carol, it's so good to see you.  Yes, you'd have to register as this is a new site but you'll only have to login the next time!

I'm sorry to read about Don.  Maybe you better tell us about it over in "Have You Prayed About It?" so that we can all keep him on our Prayer List.

Now, there's fresh coffee on the counter and lots of goodies to enjoy so pull up a chair and just make yourself welcome!

Good afternoon everyone.   I'm just getting here, so I have all the neat posts to read.

Meika...your question about "fearing God" is so good.
I remember telling God,  "Lord, you have shown me nothing but mercy and love that is without measure.  How can I ever fear You?"   And as others have said, I found that the fear for God is an incredible awe of Him.
That was easy for me.  So...with my heart filled with awe and Godly fear, I drew near and melted into His arms once more. :)  Not wanting to do anything to hurt Him, and this is just my own heart, is more important than fearing punishment.   I've felt his displeasure in my actions, for sure, and have felt his discipline.....but He is always FATHER, and we are always HIS CHILDREN.  Hellelujah! ;D  His LOVE....like a river flowing to us, and into us, covering us....WOW!  All I can do is cry at such love.

I know why song writers must write!   Expressing such love is our heart's longing. We want everyone to know.

Spring is getting here!  yep, yep, yep.  I have signs all over.   I've been snapping pictures of flowers and buds, so need to get them in our new challange.   It doesn't count when people have spring year around; does it?? haha

Pat

Great to read your post, Nita.   (Nita and I have been close friends since about 1996 and I just love her to bits!)

"Click for Waterloo Wellington, Ontario Forecast"

Nita

aahhhh...Pat.  you're sweet.    Pat knows I've actually been in bits through lots of stuff.......and taking my eyes off the Lord in the middle of it......but thanks for friends who love you to "bits" and love you to wholeness.

Till the Storm Passes By
(Click to hear music)

Words and Music by Mosie Lister

Mark 4:39
"And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea,
Peace be still.  And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm."

In the dark of the midnight have I oft hid my face,
While the storm howl above me, and there's no hiding place.
'Mid the crash of the thunder, Precious Lord, hear my cry,
Keep me safe till the storm passes by.

Chorus
Till the storm passes over, till the thunder sounds no more,
Till the clouds roll forever from the sky;
Hold me fast, let me stand in the hollow of Thy hand,
Keep me safe till the storm passes by.

Many times Satan whispered, "There is no need to try,
For there's no end of sorrow, there's no hope by and by"
But I know Thou art with me, and tomorrow I'll rise
Where the storms never darken the skies.

Chorus
Till the storm passes over, till the thunder sounds no more,
Till the clouds roll forever from the sky;
Hold me fast, let me stand in the hollow of Thy hand,
Keep me safe till the storm passes by.

When the long night has ended and the storms come no more,
Let me stand in Thy presence on the bright peaceful shore;
In that land where the tempest, never comes, Lord, may I
Dwell with Thee when the storm passes by.

Chorus
Till the storm passes over, till the thunder sounds no more,
Till the clouds roll forever from the sky;
Hold me fast, let me stand in the hollow of Thy hand,
Keep me safe till the storm passes by.

Thanks for the hymn Pat, that is becoming a favourite of mine.

I am a bit late to reply to everyone, but it is good to see Carol registered and to hear from Nita, Paulette, Papa John, Larry and Judy and Marilyn, and if I've forgotten anyone - oh yes, that girl - I've forgotten her name but I printed it on the bottom of a custard pie, let me see - Karma.  I look forward to looking into the new resources folders - that sounds interesting and thanks Karma for helping out in this way.

I hope everyone has a great night, and look forward to meeting you all tomorrow.

Anthony.

My, we have been busy.  So many of our lost sheep have returned to the flock!

Fear...I put 'fear' into my Franklin Bible and it said it is in 48 books of the Bible.  It doesn't tell how many verses.  Fearing God, to me, respect, reverence, awe.  Just looked in my collegiate dictionary and it says...to have a reverential awe of  (fear God)

CONGRATUATIONS, MODERATOR KARMA!!
Mieka ~ I love your picture...you are a cutie.  And I love your questions.  I can hear the pages of our Bibles turning.  God is so happy with children such as you.

Ivalou had an eye exam this morning.  Her vision has went kaput in the past year.  So she is having Cadillac cataract surgery next Tuesday.  Then return on Wednesday and schedule an appointment for the other eye.  She knew she had small cataracts but now they are ready for surgery.  She will be fine.  We have a pickup service so we will be picked up and taken to downtown Indianapolis and brought back home.  Curtesy service!

I, for the life of me, do not know why I am inside this house.  I have all the windows open.  A wonderful breeze is swooping through the house.  It is 73°F and the brightest sunshine available.  But I did get 3 PSP lessons done.  Perhaps when I get my mail, I will just stay out there awhile.   ;)

God is Good!!!

Anthony

Janet, how could I forget you?  God bless to you and Etta Sue before I go to bed.

mercychild

Hello everyone.  We had a wonderful day today.  I did go to work, and spent my whole afternoon cleaning the company van, which I didn't mind at all since it meant I was outdoors.  Meika, I'm sorry to hear of your pain, but I'm so glad to hear how God has helped you.  He is such a gracious God, we cannot help but stand in awe of Him.

Pat-I think a new section is a great idea.  I'm glad Karmat has agreed to be a moderator too.  How was your day today?  I'm so glad you got to go to dinner with your son and daughter-in-law.  I hope it wasn't too hard on you.  I was praying for you.

Well, I will be off to bed now.  Have a great night.  Jen.
