Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

"For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand, I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith." 2 Tim 4.

Here is a man not afraid to die, for to be with Christ is far better, most people are afraid to die because they are going into the unknown.. But Paul knew his Lord and Saviour, he had conversed with Him, been called by Him, chosen by Him to be the Apostle to us Gentiles, he longed to be away from all his suffering, he had truly suffered for Christ, whipped, stoned, imprisoned, it takes it's toll on you physically, but spiritually he was one of the strongest men who ever lived, like one of the Old Testament Prophets Paul lived for Christ and was willing to die for Christ, death had no fear for him. What a great man.
But we too can live a life without fear, perfect love casts out all fear, the more we love and follow and trust and obey our Lord and Saviour, the less we shall fear death, it has lost it's sting, for Jesus carries the keys of death and hell. He is Victor over all, through the cross.
Like Paul, let us fight a good fight, not being corrupted by anything the world offers, but looking unto Him Who washed us in His own Blood.
Keep the faith brothers and sisters.
He is coming soon.
Semper Fidelis.

"Paul, a servant of God, and an Apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God's Elect and the acknowledging of the truth, which is after Godliness. Titus 1.

Pauls credentials are here in writing.. God's servant.. An Apostle.. One of God's Elect.
We are, like Paul, chosen by God, called by Christ, convicted by the Holy Spirit, confessing our sins we are cleansed, and redeemed, sealed by the Spirit for all eternity.
But none of us are Apostles, none of us have seen the risen Christ.
According to faith, says Paul, by grace through faith, that is the salvic way, the Truth as in Jesus Christ is the way of Godliness, we are convicted by the Truth, that we are sinners bound for hell, we are saved by the truth that Jesus Christ, God in human flesh took our punishment upon the cross, and now we walk in truth, preaching truth. We must live the truth and be true to Him who called us for now we know that the truth has set us free. Godliness is our aim.

"At my first answer no man stood with me, but all men forsook me, I pray God it will not be laid to their charge. Notwithstanding the Lord stood by me, and strengthened me, that by me the preaching might be fully known and that all the Gentiles might hear, and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion. And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto His Heavenly Kingdom, to Whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. " 2 Tim. 4.
Paul has to summon up great courage to finish this letter to Timothy. Everyone has left him. He is all alone in prison except for his faithful brother in Christ Luke, what a comfort it is to have Luke there, someone who is steadfast, strong, faithful, who understands the need for fellowship, cold Roman prisons would be terrible places to spend your last day's. Jesus once said "will you leave me also? " To His disciples, and Peter replied, Lord to whom would we go, You have the words of Eternal Life? "
Paul even during this lonely time relies upon the Presence of Jesus rather than men or women, I'm sorry to say that many a time people upon whom you relied will let you down, but our Lord is with us always, and His promise"I will never fail you nor forsake you" can bring strength to the heavy soul. Loneliness strikes us all at some time in our lives, no one escapes trials, few of us will be in a stone prison, but spiritual, emotional prisons can be worse, fear hits us, and we need to call upon our Lord Who is Mighty to save, and save to the uttermost. Nil Desperandum.
Phil. 1: 21. For to me to live is Christ and to die is gain.

Way to go Marilyn! so pleased for you!

A week ago I had a rough time.... wound up straining my back.
I am having difficulty breathing and moving. I can only lie on my right side or on my back.  Typically I sleep on my belly.. Tomorrow I have to pick up my bus for the coming year, and the New Year begins.  I am dreading tomorrow and the coming week or two.  I have no idea how long the healing process will be.  Please be praying for me that God would reach down and heal the muscles especially on the right side.  Thank you.

:)  Reporting in!
Marilyn:  Yea!  I cannot wait for the third shot or whatever it is called.  Between our filthy air from all the fires and the virus it has made half the people here crabby and awful drivers - plus an uptick in shootings.  Our ancestors braved terrible troubles and did so well - too many people are used to being pampered, that is my guess.  Right now, I am mourning the loss of our troops and dreading what is to come.  We need to lean on the Lord.

Janet:  Best wishes on your work of love.  Isn't that exciting?  Take care.

Judy:  Can you find a stretchy wide band at the drug store - I have to pull that out when back aches take over and it does help. Proper name would be back support. You might need muscle relaxer too.  Take care.  Pray for your recovery and for Hello to John also.

I have been occupied for a bunch of stuff.  My birthday is over - we had a wonderful gathering (yes, all shots completed. It made me teary-eyed just to see all our children and two grands for a feast here.  One son flew in from Montana and stayed two days - always finds things to fix for us.  I was so taken aback by my wonderful family.

Tuesday night was the quilters group meeting.  Wednesday morning was the brand new bible study on women of faith by Max Lucado.  At my house.  Let me tell you, I was exhausted from all the company - love it and never want it to quit.  My mind is almost totally on our troops and all the good people trying to get out of Afghanistan.

Pray for peace.

The news on Afghanistan is grim.  Pray constantly for peace and safety.

Carol your words reminded me of this song!

"Who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto Himself, a peculiar people, zealous of good works." Titus 2.
Redeemed how I love to proclaim it,
Redeemed by the Blood of the Lamb,
Redeemed through his infinite mercy,
His child and forever I am...
The old Hymns are so scriptural. So encouraging, so truthful.
A lot of the modern stuff are just singalongsongs..
We are justified, sanctified, purified, by  Christ and Christ alone, by His work upon the cross, not by anything that we have done.
All grace, all mercy, all pardon.
We are purified and yet are still being purified, by test and trials, by fire.
Yes indeed, we are a peculiar, special people, called out ones. Chosen and called to good works which God has picked out for us before time. Let us indeed be zealous to confirm them, and to please Him whom we serve forever and ever. Amen.

Wonderful song - I do pray for peace and for the troops and all the good people.

I keep going back to the basement and the sewing machine.  This project is making a quilted throw out of all leftover fabric.  The fabric is cotton and all warm colors and all cut in strips and I don't know what I am doing but sewing stuff together.  It'll be what it wants to be.

We heard that there is to be another shot of anti virus coming - cannot wait.  We do everything they tell us to do.  A cousin's daughter is a nurse and she lost her job because she refused the virus shot.  Meanwhile, the worst thing here is our air quality.  It is just awful from all the fires - most in other states.  Here, the aftermath of fires has cause deadly mud slides.  Rain is predicted here for a few days and that is going to clear the air at least for a while.

Chris:  Thank you for reminding us of being redeemed.  Take care!
