Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

Greetings Everyone  This is a splendid quote by Anne Frank, 'No one has ever become poor by giving'.

Rebot good  message to live by from Harry Truman.

I went back to the podiatrist yesterday for more shots in the bottom of my heel. I have another appointment on the 24th of Sept unless I need to go sooner. If there shots  don't stop the pain I will opt for surgery which is probably a better idea than getting the shots. I am not supposed to be walking on the asphalt but one either grass or sand/dirt. It looks like I will be going to the beach and the hiking trails to walk the dog.

Keith is doing so much better than expected. His friend took him to the Blackberry festival to walk around on Sunday while I went to church. They will be going to the local high school football games again this year. That is the same high school they both attended and just had the reunion. He is the same person we go to friday night dinner with every week.

Greetings Everyone  A sunny day on the Island with more motorcycle racing today.  The racing is a day ahead of the schedule, because of wet weather forecast for tomorrow.

Greetings Marilyn  Sorry to hear your heel pain issues are still with you.  It might be that surgery is the answer, instead of the pain relief injections.  Have you thought of wearing Silicone Gel heel pads?  Splendid news that Keith is doing much better than expected.

I think for the way that Anne Frank suffered during her life, that it is typical of the young lady, who thought on others before herself.

Greetings Everyone  A wet day on the Island and not sure I will go out.  I could do with doing some computer work.

Marilyn

The last shots in my foot  helped a bit but not enough. Next week I am going to call the Dr. and tell them I want the surgery to get rid of the pain once and for all. The emotional stress taking care of Keith and having to deal with the pain is just too much for me. I have to take care of my health to be able to care for him. If we could afford to have the caregiver more than 2 hours per week I would be so happy, but unfortunately our funds are dwindling fast paying for  dr visits, meds and house hold bills. The next thing I have to cash in is the last, will be his small IRA that is all that is left.I can't afford to hire someone to do the carpets and floors so that is why I am waiting all this time for someone from the church to help.

Sorry for the vent: It has been piling up on me.

Greetings Marilyn   Having surgery does seem to be the best thing to do, as being on your feet a lot and being in pain, is stressful.  Don't apologise about having a vent, as it is good to talk about problems.

I know with our outgoings for the home and both of us, plus me looking after hubby, we save less and less now.

Marilyn

Good morning I slept pretty good the last two nights. I really needed that. God is in control and lots of people are praying for me and for Keith.

Greetings Everyone  A nice dry day on the Isle of Man, forecast for 60F and cooler than parts of the UK.

Greetings Jackie  Splendid seeing your post.  Unless you posted it and I did not see it.

Greetings Everyone  From a wet Isle of Man.  Our thoughts are with those in the path of Hurricane Dorian, hoping that the winds decrease and the amount of rain forecast might not happen. Today has been a chores day!

Carol

Good Day to all. We are about to set another heat record for the city of Denver.  We try to get everything finished early in the day but there is just too much to do so I go to the basement and have the sewing machine setting by the windows.

Prayers for all in the path of this hurricane.

Our daughter and husband just returned from a trip to Quebec city.  It looks charming and they love the Tim Horton coffee too.   :coffee:

Our granddaughter starts her new job tomorrow - it is a long drive from her house (the building is closer to us) so we have recommended her staying here until she finds a roommate to share expenses.

Ellie:  We could use some of your moisture here - it is dry and hot which is not good for fear of fires.  I hope your chore day was easy.

Greetings Carol  The usual washing of clothes, hoovering carpets and emptying the Kitchen waste bins, I think you call them trash cans.  Oh and drinking coffee!
