I can't find the picture of Pat and hubby!  :'(
Ruth, I forgot to mention yesterday that I do still pray for Wendy.  I know folks on here prayed faithfully for Beth through the years until God called her home, and I appreciate it so much.  I also pray you will soon feel stronger again.

We spent the whole afternoon visiting with our kids, and I really needed it.  I took the Valentine bottles for the little girls and they sure liked them.

Larry, no, the bottles don't have to go in a box, they can just be mailed "bare."  That's part of the fun!

Little Chelsea was telling me that she liked the little teddy bear that was in hers best of all, then stopped suddenly, shook her head and said, "No, I like it second best.  I like best of all that YOU made it for me!" What a little sweetheart!

Carol, do be careful lifting those rocks.  Stinkin' pigs! So sorry you have this problem.  Hugs to you!

I started the washer, need to go move the clothes to the dryer now.  See you all tomorrow!

Hi Everyone.  We have an overcast, drizzly and chilly day today.  In a few minutes Pat will drive me to the Podiatrist for a standing appointment.  She is going to let me out at the door and then stay with the car until I call her when I am finished.  This appointment usually takes no more than 30 minutes. That will be pretty much for the day.  I did have a good nights sleep last night for which I am grateful.  I did order my new Chromebook computer and a new laptop table for it.  They both weight just a little over 2 pounds each.  I hope to have it tomorrow or Wednesday.

Janet, no my breathing has not improved and I am really weak.  It took me about 30 minutes just to get dressed this morning.  The Chromebook runs on the android operating system rather than Windows and has only a small amount of internal storage as it work off of the Cloud.  Google keeps the software up to date and deals with any viruses so it is basically maintenance free.  The Kindle also uses a version of Android but this is actually a computer and the one I purchased is also a tablet as has a touch screen and the lid/keyboard rotates 365 degrees.  This one also comes with a lighted keyboard.

Janet, the little pictures we see on the site rotate through a lot of different pictures.  I did see your Facebook page with the lovely necklaces you had made and must say very nice and pretty.  I am surprised the Post Office can handle or allows a glass bottle to be shipped without being boxes.  What a sweet thing for Chelsea to say.

Hi Everyone. We have a damp and cloudy morning and some heavy rain showers and winds are predicted for a 4 hour windows late this afternoon.  I ended up having to spend the night in my easy chair and finally got maybe a couple of hours of sleep in it.  This cough associated with my heart was bothering me last night and I knew it would keep Pat awake.  I have only two things that I must do this morning and the first is to meet with my friend to work with him for an hour.  Following that whenever Pat is up and ready she will take me downtown for a quick blood draw in preparation for an appointment with my GP early Friday morning.

Jackie, just yesterday evening a member of my Sunday School brought over a meal for us and visited with us maybe 30 minutes or so.  I really enjoyed his visit but it took a toll on me as I was having breathing problems all day long.  It was worth it.  Several men from the Church have called to check up on me, which I certainly appreciated, although telephone conversations leave me pretty breathless.  Right now I can't attend either my Sunday School or Church as not able to physically get their.  Thank you for the beautiful card and I try to live by the verse on it.  Today I turn 78.

Marilyn

Happy Birthday Larry. I turned 79 on the 6th. We are getting older by the day. I don't want to say that we are OLD. ha ha.

Yesterday Freckles and I along with two more Furry friend teams went to a school to teach  K-2 grades  on the responsibility of pet ownership and safety around dogs that are loose. We did the morning classes and three  other teams did the afternoon classes.

Who is it that owns Cimmy? ( the cocker spaniel ) the photo keeps coming up to the side of our page ( random image or mini challenge ) he is just like our Toby, same colour, same breed, dont know about age, ours - Richards Toby is now senior dog, he is eight and sadly the only dog left in our home now...
Is it yours Judy?

Hi Everyone.  It is a truly beautiful day here today with sun and breezy weather.  Yesterday we set a new high record for our area in our area of 80 degrees but it was rainy.  They predicted we would get some severe thunderstorms and while we had about an hour of rain late in the day I didn't hear any thunder.  I did get a good night of bed sleep last night, which always helps.  Scott came out and spend an hour or so with us and brought me some birthday cookies.  I have a light schedule for today with a friend coming at 10 am to work with me for an hour.  Sometime today my new Chromebook, computer-tablet is being delivered so I will be spending a little time getting it set up. Pat and Scott plan on going to the Wednesday night dinners at the Church and I will have a little piece of the dinner I had a couple of days ago at Diablos.

Marilyn, while my mind still feels young I have to say my body is saying something else.  I bet the kids just love to have the Furry Friends come to visit their class and that is a good way to teach about pet ownership and safety around dogs.

Rebot, thanks for the birthday and health wishes.  It was just another day as we did nothing special for it as we usually do for birthday but that was fine with me.

Jackie, I can't help you as to the owner of the cocker spaniel.

Rebot

Greetings Larry  Enjoyed your post today, as I do every day.

Janet

Rebot, Cimie is Judy's dog,  (Or rather, I think it was Jacqueline who asked about that.

Larry, No, the bottles aren't glass, they are plastic!
To fill them, I cut a "window" in the side, stuffed them with goodies, taped it shut and put the address label over it!  I'm sure glass wouldn't be accepted by the post office.

I was hoping for a better report on how you're feeling, but so happy you can still post and keep us up to date as we all care about you. Sorry I missed wishing you blessings on your birthday, but I do wish you those and happiness every day.  You are just five months my junior.

I got a report on my sister this morning.  She was doing better, wanted to bake a cake, made one from scratch, with her husband doing the stirring and getting some of the ingredients for her.  She was able to stand without too much pain, then when they finished the cake, she went to take a shower--and fell in the bathroom.  :'(  She struck her head on the door jamb, lacerating it and getting a big bruise near her left eye.  Her husband didn't think she needed to go to ER so he didn't take her.  Her doctor was not impressed! She told them anyone over 70 who suffers a fall needs to be checked, when they hit their head, for a brain bleed; and with her fragile bones, she needs an MRI to check for broken bones.  She has an appoint for all that tomorrow; in the meantime isn't able to walk and is in a lot of pain.  I'm sad about this, of course.

I painted a couple little watercolors today, nothing great, but I'm learning......

Jackie, thanks for making that lovely card for our Larry!

Almost time to go to Wednesday night dinner at church--taco stack-ups tonight.  And we will see the sweet little twin girls I made and give them the last two Valentine bottles.

I wish you all refreshing sleep and pleasant dreams!

Hi Everyone.  I am just going to check in this morning as don't have much energy.  I had an 8 am doctor's appointment and I think it used up my quota of energy for today.

Hi Everyone. Just a few words today.  I did get my new Chromebook on Wednesday but yesterday it went into a loop that I could not get it to stop.  I called ASUS technical support and the things he told me to do wouldn't stop the loop.  He agreed with me that I should return it to Amazon and request a replacement.  I did request a replacement and it is to be here tomorrow.  Now that is good customer service.  I have the return label and Pat or Scott will have to  drop it off at the UPS store in the next few days. I will read through the postings but don't have the energy today to write individual comments.  I seem to be getting weaker by the day.  Sure glad I don't have to go anywhere for several days.

Rebot

Greetings Larry  It might be good service that Amazon are replacing the Chromebook, but not good service from either Google or Amazon, if the other one was faulty.  Before the goods leave the factory, quality control should ensure the goods are in working order.

Rebot

Greetings Everyone  It has been a super weather day, as there is mild weather over most of Europe.  Splendid sunny day here and lots of sun.

Yes Ellie, same here, after the snow of a week or two ago, they say we are in for some Spring like weather...As my late father often would say..." our God works in mysterious ways..." now who is in charge of our weathers?

Larry Hanna...
... not the news I want to be reading, quoting:  " I seem to be getting weaker by the day.." now I am having serious concerns over you..

I dont know whether I posted on here but I had an MS fall the other day, bent my leg back as I landed full weight on it.. Only one way for us MS'ers to get up, on our knees and haul ourselves up by grabbing hold of something solid, which meant I had to scoot my backside along the floor, I tried crawling on my knees but made my knees too sore, the flooring, the carpet...Richard came to my aid from his bedroom, 8.am, offered me a front pull up but we cant get up that way...

Hi Everyone.  Just checking in again today.  I finally had to admit to myself yesterday that I am pretty sick and the chance of getting much better aren't very good.  I don't mean this to sound pessimist for I certainly have hope that I am wrong.  Yesterday I had Pat bring in from the garage the little rollator we have and I am finding it helpful.  Using my arms and legs seem to really tire me and bring on the panting from shortness of breath that sometimes I have trouble getting to stop.  I tell you this not to generate sympathy for myself but that you may better understand why I will probably seldom add any other general comments in these discussions.  If you see me check in each day you know I am still around.  I will read all of your postings each day.  Thank you for your prayers and thoughts.

Janet

Good Saturday morning to you all.
I woke up with the idea this was Sunday, and when I remembered it's Saturday I felt I'd been given the gift of a whole new day!  :)

Larry, I am very concerned for you.  You would be the last one seeking "sympathy" but I know you realize that you're very important to each of us here on CP. And I also know you appreciate prayers, which continue in your behalf. I have always felt blessed by our friendship, and had hoped to make it to see you, as you know.  If your home-going is approaching, we will wish you godspeed, as we know where your eternal home is, but we will sorely miss you.  Please have Scott or Pat keep us posted if the time comes when you cannot do it.  Sending loads of love to you from my little corner of Kansas. <3

I had great plans to bake some Keto Bread, and something sweet from one of the Keto cookbooks I got.  But I'm stymied at every turn.  EVERY recipe in them calls for yet another strange ingredient I don't have; this after ordering a bunch of stuff from Amazon they call for. :-\
:(   >:(  So I have made yet another list!

Our weather has gotten cold again, to stay this way for three days at least, with snow, frost, and wintry mix predicted.  So thankful for a warm, cozy home!

Darrel and I had a Date Night last night for belated Valentine's Day.  Didn't leave town, but ate at a place we've only been to once before (his meal was good, mine was only mediocre.)  Then we went to the movie, which was The Upside. (We still have a movie theater here, one screen!) If anyone is interested, that's a very good, uplifting movie!  We need to have a date night at least once a month!!  Why don't we?? :-\

Jackie, so sorry about your fall.  One thing I work on at the gym is getting up off the floor by myself.  I know you don't have that opportunity, but it's so important for all of us as we get older.  Strength and balance!  Hope your poor knees are feeling better today.

Carol, I'm missing you!  Hope all is well at your place. Maybe you're having guests again, or seeing your kids.

We made plans twice to go to Florida to visit Grandson Mark and wife; had to cancel both times because Beth was so sick.  So we're trying to reschedule again.  Hard to find a good time with their schedules, he flies and she teaches school, will be out one week in May then goes back to teach summer school.

Blessings to each of you, and prayers for health.

You are  right Janet, Larry Hanna I know is not seeking sympathy, that is not his nature, just putting us in the picture of how serious he is now taking his illness...I believe he is preparing us for what he maybe considering the inevitable...Larry do not ever forget that miracles do, and still very much happen...and you of course just maybe one of them...

Today we have no sun, nor rain, but we do have a whole lot of mist, or is that fog? around...Or as my late mother and gran would have called it..." a real pea-souper..."

Greetings Larry  Sorry to hear you do not feel good.  I am a great believer in health matters can improve and I Like to think you will improve.

Marilyn

Larry I do pray that you are feeling better, I am praying for you and know that God answers our prayers.

I good friend lost her husband yesterday. I hurt with her at her loss of this wonderful man. They a sad  are members of our church, she is the one who took me to the hospital for my eye surgery and sat with me.

At our age it seems like we are losing so many, I sure though I was going to be one of them the night I wnet to the hospital with the AFIB attack. I felt so alone laying there in ER with no one there who cared.

Hi Everyone.  Just checking to for today. I don't think I feel up to going to my office this morning so will spend it in my easy chair and resting in bed this afternoon for awhile and then back to my easy chair.  I got the replacement Chromebook yesterday but have decided I am just not up to getting it set up and learning the Chromebook operating system.  So I will repay the cost of the return to Amazon and just chalk it up to not being one of my better decisions.

Please don't feel that you need to mention me each day since I am not contributing anything to the discussion.  I will try to post something each day so you won't worry about me.  I plan on being around for quite awhile but seem to be getting a bit weaker each day so looking forward to a turn around.

Carol

Larry:  A gentle hug for you whenever you have time to read the notes.

Janet:  It sounds like you had a nice Valentine Day - I never know what day that falls on but that is OK - have a lot of super days.

We drove from Tucson to Carlsbad, California and visited with oldest son and wife (who were there working for a week).  Heavy rains for several days and one last day we were able to get to the Pacific ocean to listen to the roar of the waves and walk the beach.  So calming - a wonderful time of thanksgiving and quiet.

Driving back yesterday was the worst traffic and we chose to leave on a Saturday because it should be lighter traffic.  Not so.  The drivers are insane - tailgating and so rude.  They have ruined the experience of visiting southern California to us - forever now.  Our son and wife left early for a drive back to Colorado and then to their home in Montana.  Otherwise, we did enjoy some fresh salads on our trip. We drove straight back yesterday and could not find room at any place to eat so I bought two hot dogs at a gas station and we sat in the car sipping our water.  So very happy to get off the road.

Jackie:  Sorry about your fall - that is so scary anymore.  I fell on rocks at the beach but it was a slant uphill so I didn't fall far.

We spotted a large javelina and a little one in the yard last night - I opened the door and shouted and clapped my hands so hard that now I have a blood blister. Now is the time of the year - we have Don's cousin and wife arriving next week for a couple of days.  Our daughter for five days and then my cousin and wife - later a couple who bring a little RV and last time they slept in the  RV.

Hi Everyone.  Just checking in today.

Greetings Larry
Good to see your post this afternoon.  I am told by hubby that it is still the morning where you live.
a dry day on the Island, cooler today than the past few days.  Th forecasters say it will be milder this weekend.

Janet

And a wonderful good morning to you, Larry!  We have about an inch of snow on the ground, and it's still snowing lightly.  "Feels like" temp is 0*, actual temp in the teens.  Great day to stay in and paint!!

We didn't go to gym because it's Presidents Day and things are closed, so I've already finished the laundry and now I'm ready to go to my studio for hours of fun!  :)

Carol

We can not get in for our haircuts until almost 5 today so I have the slow cooker going on low.  Another rain and fog day here and I hope all is better next week for company arrives.

I found a newspaper clipping of mom and dad's wedding.  They were married in a chapel and all I have ever thought was they were married in grandparents house.  Most interesting is the newspaper clipping on the back mentions a treaty or good relations we (USA) had with Japan and this was one year before the Pearl Harbor attack.  Really - that is what the papers were quoting from politicians.

That news clipping was in a bible the folks gave me upon confirmation.  The type has always been so small.  I found attached pages with genealogy - family members that I asked mom and she told me to write it in the book.  Amazing to see this today.

Larry:  Thinking of you....

Hi Everyone.  Just checking in this morning.
