From Chris Saunders

"Our Lord Jesus Christ...Who only has immortality, dwelling in the Light which no man can approach, whom no man has seen, nor can see, to Whom be Honour and Power everlasting. A- men."
1Tim 6.

He sits at the Father's right hand...seated in Glory, and the Light which blinds, unapproachable, Holy and Spotless.
We cannot be too familiar with this Mighty God, and yet He is approachable through the Holy Spirit, that is why the natural man knows nothing of God, he cannot, for he has not the Spirit of God, those who treat The Risen Christ like their buddy..know nothing of Christ.
He is the most Wonderful, forgiving, gracious, merciful God, but He is God, in all His Risen Power.. we would die if we saw Him..but He comes to us by the Spirit and encourages us to draw near to Him in prayer and praise and worship. But He is not our boyfriend, the Fear of God is the beginning of Wisdom.

Jesus, Jesus, Jesus
There's just something about that name
Master, Saviour, Jesus
Like the fragrance after the rain
Jesus, Jesus, Jesus
Let all Heaven and Earth proclaim
Kings and kingdoms
Will all pass away
But there's something about that Name.

I am sorry for not starting the new year's Thoughts.  The month so far has got away from me.  I have been struggling with health issues, high blood pressure and rapid heart rate.  I have cut out a medication that I was warned could cause this problem.  Everything is settling down somewhat slowly however, I am feeling better.

I hope and pray each of you had a wonderful Christmas and I pray each person here has a blessed new year.

Janet  I was flying over your neck of the woods on the 31st, It was a evening flight and the view of the city lights were amazing.

Marilyn I spent the week between the 22nd and 31st in  LA, with my cousin.  He is struggling with diabetes related leg and foot problems.  I was thinking of you as John and I drove around. I pray this year becomes a bit easier for you.

I have a new Bible, that is a chronological Bible, to read through in a year.  It is very interesting how the passages back each other up!

Have a good rest of the week folks I will try to be more diligent with updates.

Thanks for the new month, Judy!  We appreciate your keeping us going in here!

Sorry you're having some health issues.  It seems most of us are dealing with that, as we're all sort of in the same age bracket.  Speaking of that; I'm really unhappy,, because our doctor is moving to Wisconsin to be close to her grandchildren.  That is one reason I can respect, but boy! Will we miss her!  I just saw her this morning, just for a 3 months checkup.  She's the only doctor I've ever had that gave me her personal cell number and liked me on Facebook and responded every time I needed her!  :'(

The new heating element for our oven already arrived!  So soon we can bake things again!

Ellie, sounds as if you like wind about as much as I do--which is not at all!  Breezes are nice, but not winds of 30 mph and above!

I need to go--attending a ladies' meeting at church through lunch today.  Hope you all have a pleasant afternoon!

Greetings Judy   Sorry to hear of your health problems. Positive news that you are feeling better.

Greetings Janet  I don't like the wind, but as hubby was born on the Island he is used to it!

Ellie--I have lived in this area my whole life and I have NEVER gotten used to the wind!  But a fine fellow I knew, once said, "If you're going to live in Southwest Kansas, you'd better make friends with the wind!"  And he's right, I should.  I think (at least I hope) I complain about it less than formerly!

Greetings Janet  Well said that man about the wind.  I have lived most of my life in London and I  never experienced winds like we get on the Island.  And lots of rain in the winter time.  And hubby likes the wet days also!   Ellie

Judy:  I hope and pray you continue to feel better with the changing of medication.

We are safely back from Mexico. We only go to one border town and it is heavily guarded by the Mexican police and then we go through US customs as we return to our vehicle - set in a parking lot owned by a tribe.  The people want to keep customers and they keep a lot of security on their side - lots of dentists and that is a really busy place. There is a small Mexican city close to Tucson but there is no way I will every go there---  My cousin and wife are from Washington and they park a trailer in Yuma.  For many years, they volunteered at an orphanage that had a lot of blind children.

Eldest son leaves tomorrow and in the afternoon, another cousin and husband arrive.  He wanted a soup that that would be spicy.  I made soup yesterday and I guess it is pretty spicy. :)  Be careful what you ask for.... As soon as he leaves, that will be dumped.

Good morning!  I have just spent some time watching/listening to three prophets telling us what God is showing them for 2020.  If you are interested, you can go to Prophetic Words for 2020; which you can just type into your browser.  It on Sid Roth's network CIN.  I just typed title into my search bar to listen.  Had been trying to watch on my phone but it would stop and not complete.  Anyway.......

Glad your little foray in to Mexico went well, Carol.  We used to drive into Mexico and shop, look around, etc., back before the drug cartels made it too dangerous.  Sad for those who try to make their livings selling things to tourists from across the border.

I have a number of things I want to do, and if I don 't get at it, it won't happen!  See you later!

If anyone is really interested in end times, go to youtube and watch the videos of Jonathan Cahn.  He is an excellent speaker and has related the old and new testament prophecies to what has happened in the world and what is still to happen.  He is a Messianic Jew.

Just a personal update my blood pressure is still too high.  Getting in to my family doctor is impossible.  He is booking appointments 3 - 4 months down the road, God help anyone who is seriously sick.  His answer is the emergency room (and wait 6 to 12 hours) or a walk in clinic, and wait up to 5 hours.

Have a great weekend folks, we are in for a major weather system going through.  Stay in and stay warm!

I came in to mention we are going to our second class on Alzheimer's Disease this afternoon.  Grim statistics but we want to know more - my mother was diagnosed by the Mayo Clinic.  I had to get her to that hospital in Minnesota on the coldest and snowiest time of the year - it was such a difficult thing.  To make matters worse, the hotel had a kitchen fire in the middle of the night and we were evacuatingP when firemen came to tell me it was all over.  That was a blessing because my mother said "No" to everything.

We had a wonderful visit with my cousin & his wife.  They led the Christmas service at their little place in the desert - the pastor retired.  Our son drove us all the way (too fast).  He left for Montana two days ago.

Judy"  I am so sorry you have to wait for health care.  Prayers for your BP to drop.

The second crock pot of chicken soup is simmering.  One was for a friend who has a wicked cold.  This one is for us -some to freeze and some to reheat for a few days.

Through the magic of the internet, we could watch a hockey game being played in a Minnesota college last night.  Our grandson (a senior this year) shocked everyone by making the first goal immediately.  It has been so much fun to be able to watch and critique the games when the connection is actually working.  We hope to be healthy enough to drive back to Minnesota this springtime for graduation.  I gave this grandson the hockey skates my dad used (his great-grandfather).

Here, still reading the one-year bible study by Charles Stanley and it gets high grades from me.  A friend loaned it - my friends have a lot of different studies and they gave me one different study each for my birthday last year. They asked me what I wanted and I asked for loan studies so this is perfect.

Yesterday, while driving here, a pack of Javelinas  ran right in front of the car.  They look like huge pigs but are not- they are native to Mexico and go wherever they can find food.l They love trash cans, fruit and acorns from trees and bulbs - so messy and they have a horrible odor.  They ruined some patio cushions and if you are bitten, it means a hospital visit from the germs.

The couple in back of the yard is coming over later.  I wanted to buy grapes but the price is 3 times what it was a couple of months ago  Oranges and some apples were much less - I will just put out snacks like so many of us around here do now.  It is much easier and most people do not want a heavy supper - myself included.  My neighbor gave me three lemons, he tossed them from his yard and I did catch all three.

Our good friend (a few blocks from here) is losing her vision so fast.  She cannot see well after dusk at all - a couple of men take turns walking her dog after supper.

Janet"  How is everything going?  Are you resting before more trips?

The phone just rang - it is a couple from Oregon in their trailer coming to visit at the end of the week. Looking forward to this - some day we need to drive to Oregon and see their farm.

Prayers for everyone's health and safety.

Take care.

Marilyn reminded me that I haven't been in for a while.  Thank you, Marilyn!  I never seem to get notices any more, and guess I rely on those to remind me to come in and post!

Marilyn, I am so, so sorry for your loss.  I'm sure Ron's leaving also leaves you with many unanswerable questions.  I hope you can rest in God's loving arms and count on Him to help you through this difficult time.  Hugs and much love to you, dear one.

Carol, those horrible javalinas!  I'm sorry you have them around, and I certainly don't understand why people aren't allowed to kill them instead of letting them wreck everything in their paths!

It's so nice that you can watch your grandson play on TV, and hope you get to go watch him in person before he graduates!  I know that will be so special for you--and for him!

Jacqueline, good to see a post from you.  Hope you're able to get out and about some to your meetings.  Not good for us to spend too much time home alone, and friends are the treasures of life!

Hello, Ellie.  We had a lovely snow this week!  We got about four inches, and it all melted in two days.  So good for the crops and other land.  And so needed.

Grrrrr!  I'm ready to strangle some of those people on TV.  I shan't mention names, even though I really want to!!

I'm going to the gym, it's really helping me, and I feel healthier and stronger when I go.  Working on balance, too.

I will try to remember to get back in here sooner, I promise!
