Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

I'm Baack!  Our church starts at 9:15, so we always get out early.  Then we went to Garcia's and had some Mexican food for lunch.

My birthday was on the 19th.  (Thank you all for the nice birthday wishes!)  I suspected my daughter Diane was planning something, so I waited all day an into evening....nothing.  Finally I said to Darrel, "Well it's my birthday, but I don't think anything is going to happen," so he took me out to supper.  On Saturday, I was expecting youngest daughter, and she got here about 2:00.  We visited for about two hours, then she said she would like to go to Bear Creek Coffee for a glass of their special tea, so I changed my clothes (thank God!) and we went to Bear Creek.  When I opened the door, there was a shout of "Surprise!!!"  Boy, they got me! (Darrel was in on it all the time, but he didn't say a word!)
I really WAS surprised!

There was a good crowd of friends, lovely decorations, flowers, huge cake, many cards and gifts.  And Diane had gotten a wide purple sash with "80 and Fabulous" and a tiara with lots of rhinestones and "80" on it! They made me feel SO special!!  I was still walking two feet off the floor three days later!  What a wonderful family and friends I have!

When we go to Nebraska, Darrel and I take over the things Vernon dislikes doing.  He has done farm work and other stuff outdoors all his life, so had never done housework, cooking, cleaning, laundry, and really has no idea how to shop for groceries!  And of course, he is doing his best, but how happy he is to have relief for a few days!  It does him as much good as all my attention to my sister does her!  I do the cooking and the dishes, and this trip gave Sis a pedicure and manicure, also did her hair again.  Next time, I want to take her to a beauty shop for a "quarantine haircut correction."  I cut her hair last time and really made a mess of it, but it still looks better than it did before, I just want it to look better still.  :)   Anyway, that's my mission for however long...to go there once a month and be a blessing!

It's HOT here; on its way up to 104* today.  Ugh.  I need to go water my flowers before it gets any hotter!

Marilyn, glad you're able to work things our for your trip, and for Keith's family to see him.  You need a break, too.

These are the last two lines from a new song we have been singing at church:
The Resurrected Lord
Is Resurrecting me!

Hallelujah!  And may God bless each of you today!

Clothes are washing  and Don needed a little nap. I just finished fixing a new password to the hospital -  I now have a total of 40 passwords all totaled to various places.  Yes, that is not what I wanted but computers took over my life.    :-[ I have an ordinary procedure this week at the hospital so am checking notes on the fridge all the time so I don't make any mistakes on the pre-orders. The fridge and freezer are full for Don's meals so he is taken care of - thankful it isn't an overnight stay.

Janet:  How very nice it was for you to help your sister and Darrel is so good about making the drive.  We are not going into any place now - church is still closed.  Every time they open something up, the numbers of cases rises so fast.  The stone-throwing mobs are getting less and less in the city - but still pop up.

Keep on being super careful.

Just spoke with our 80 plus year young friend in Tucson. She is so sharp  but I heard from another neighbor that she was upset about this quarantine and fearful.  Lots of smoke keeps her indoors right now - there is a huge fire in the area.

Glad you are back Janet.  It is sad to see our loved ones suffer.
Elizabeth works in an aboriginal store.  She called me yesterday to pray for her bosses brother. He has incurable cancer.  They are euthanizing him Tuesday or Thursday of this coming week.  It is hard to know what to pray. All I can pray is that His will be done.

I sent this out to my phone contacts this morning.

As believers we are tied together by the LORD's love for us.  Different parts of one body. Still one body though.  We need to unite daily and pray for our country and our leaders, including Justin Trudeau.  God is able to work miracles when His Bride unites and prays.

And the multitude of them that believed
were of one heart and of one soul:
neither said any of them that ought of the things
which he possessed was his own;
but they had all things common.
Acts 4:32

Blest be the tie that binds
Our hearts in Christian love;
The fellowship of kindred minds
Is like that to that above.

Before our Father's throne
We pour our ardent prayers;
Our fears, our hopes, our aims are one
Our comforts and our cares.

We share each other's woes,
Our mutual burdens bear;
And often for each other flows
The sympathizing tear.

When we asunder part,
It gives us inward pain;
But we shall still be joined in heart,
And hope to meet again.

This glorious hope revives
Our courage by the way;
While each in expectation lives,
And longs to see the day.

From sorrow, toil and pain,
And sin, we shall be free,
And perfect love and friendship reign
Through all eternity.

Carol no vacation for me. I am not going to travel any place at this time. I don't want to get  the virus as I will definitely not survive with my lung problem and age. We will just have to wait and try to be patient, LOL

Judy, is euthanasia legal there???  How horrible!  So many situations requiring prayer, hard to fit them all into our days.

Carol, hope your procedure goes without incident and you are back home quickly!

Marilyn, I understood you were making arrangements to go to Gilbert's.  Did I misunderstand that?

I read a book last night and today, a good one.  Hadn't done that in a while!

See you all tomorrow!

Janet to your question Yes.  It is terrible.  John had knee replacement surgery in Feb., and the person across the hall from him took the euthanasia route.  Doctors playing God.

Was out mowing this afternoon. I have about another 2 hours to go, which I will get done tomorrow.  We are in a heat wave, so I am taking outside work in smaller batches.

Now (5.00pm) I had better get supper ready. John will want an early night.

Good night everyone!

Janet I WAS planning a trip to Gilbert's but the trip is off. I don't want to travel 4.5 hours and have to stop for potty breaks along the way. I am not much into public bathrooms in the first place but with this virus I can't take any chances. I would not survive if I got it, not with COPD and my lungs being so bad already. I worry about Keith and the animals, who would take care of Keith if anything happens to me.

I sent my application for Medicaid in today. My  heart medication went up by $50 this month I can imagine what my inhalers will cost. Since we got my car in  tip top condition last month and the cost was outrageous  we now qualify for medicaid and the extra help from SS for my medications.

 With what the garage charged I could have purchased another car. I told them this was my last car and I needed it to be in perfect condition but I found out too late that I could have taken it elsewhere and not paid half as much.

I'm sorry you had to change your plans, Marilyn.  Car repairs are terribly expensive, and I guess we need to get several estimates before we let them touch our car!

I'm so upset at our dictator (governor) because she issued a MANDATORY order that EVERYONE has to wear face masks, beginning July 3 until...?  Even outdoors, if we cannot stay 6 feet apart, which we can always do here. Not sure what I will do, but I am NOT wearing a muzzle just to please her!  I cannot get enough oxygen with one on.  I feel great and don't want to make myself sick using a stupid mask which has been proven useless anyway. I'm glad I live in a small town.......  Even though there are a few "snitches" who delight in reporting people for minor infractions since this Covid nightmare started.

What a great time this would be for the Rapture, don't you agree?  Even so, COME, Lord Jesus!

I plan to go paint with my friends tomorrow.  Maybe for the last time for a while, if they all agree to wear masks.  I know there are a couple who are fearful, so will wear them.  I will stay home if that's what it takes to maintain my health and freedom. :ticked:

We just got word today that our bus trip to the Black HIlls and Yellowstone has been canceled.  ;(

I'm going to look for a good sermon on this computer!

Love you all, stay safe and well.

Judy:  I had no idea Canada has euthanasia practice.  Shocked at hearing the quiet and gentle people let that happen.

There are so many sad stories these days - canceling just about anything fun and normal.  I keep waiting for the "cure" to be announced.  Then, there will be a rush of me me me first.

Janet:  It is annoying, isn't it?  I am going to tell you this - just do it! There are different masks that are thinner and you can breath better. Take care of yourself and all relatives and friends.  We are nowhere close but sure do not want to lose you - this is one of our greatest moments in our history and how we react to this crisis marks us forever.  Certainly, I am not a scientist but will listen to the latest news on how to stem the flow of more cases. Right now, this is all we have on the latest information.  Hugs to you - and all the family.  Do it for your family, please.

We cancelled a drive to Minnesota.  Don has a cousin in her late 90's and she lives alone & is doing so well, writes beautiful letters to us keeping up to date with everything.  We are missing the visits with cousins and friends.

Morning routine of reading is back and I am re-reading "Jesus Always" by Sarah Young.  She wrote "Jesus Always" and I have that book to re-read again.  Remembering how soothing to the spirit she writes.
