Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

Carol

Thanks ever so much for getting me back on CP.

Carol

I meant to say - Thank You Michael for helping me onboard CP.

It was not easy but I did get a quilt mailed today.  There was no box that fit the quilt and toy until the postal worker found a damaged box, then he taped everything to make it sturdy and didn't charge for that damaged box.  Other charge for shipping and insurance was more than enough.  With a great sigh, I let it go - it sure is not getting easier to handle big fabric anymore.

We see white on the mountain tops - it could be a sign of a huge mud and flood coming downhill later or it could cool and trickle.

Larry, ditto to Ellie's message to you!  I did get to Colorado and got home again about 6:00 while still plenty of daylight.  It was a lovely service honoring a 98 year old WW II Veteran.  And I got to see my parents' graves, also my brother's wife's whose service we missed when we got stranded in DFW Airport.  The Campo cemetery looks nicer, prettier and cleaner now than ever in my memory. When we buried Mom there, the water lines were broken, all the deciduous trees were dead, and it was so desolate and forlorn, it made me feel terrible.  So I'm really happy things have turned around for that little acreage now!  :)

I got to see and visit with one of my best friends from High school whom I hadn't seen in years, so that was a plus.  I left after the graveside rites, even though they wanted us to stay and visit with the widow.
I did speak to her briefly before leaving the cemetery, and she understood why I had to leave then.

Marilyn, enjoy beautiful Hawaii!!
Larry, our insurance has $1500 deductible, so we will have to pay out of pocket for the windshield.  But thanks for the advice, anyway!

It's about bedtime, and I'm tired, so will chat with you again tomorrow!

I came back to say hello to Carol!  I surely hope you don't get "mud and flood!"  Kansas is being hammered with that, even though we have no mountains!

We had a power outage last night and there is still one part of the house without power today.  Thankful that it didn't  last long and that the garage door wasn't part of the area.

Janet:  Weather is either wild or calm.  Traffic & driving here is downright frightful.  Overcrowded - insane.  How nice that someone worked on the cemetery upkeep.

We spent two days visiting with our daughter and one grandson.  Worth the drive just to have the hugs.

Good day Larry:  Thank you for contacting Michael.  He was Johnny -on-the-spot in replying.

I'll Fly away come to mind this morning, Our flight leaves her at 1:50 this afternoon. We arrive in Kauai at 8:15 tonight. "See" all y'll when I get back, although I will have my tablet with me. I is supposed to rain for the first few days we are there, but I've been told the rain doesn't last long.

Hi Everyone. It looks like we have a cloudy sky this morning and we are to have some cooler weather.  Yesterday seemed to be my day to redo my list of things I want to accomplish and then I reorganized it in my little Google Keep Memo type program so I could read it, organize it in easily used area such as I want to order this from Amazon and then check out local sources for a number of other things I want to get to make my new room easier to use.  My body may be failing a lot and I am very slow but my brain still works (most of the time) and I can think logically.  I do the planning and depend on my wonderful family and friends to make my plans works.  I do have to remain flexible as some of my ideas may not work well or someone suggests something better.  It is nice to be able to work at whatever pace is right for you and then have the luxury of just going and laying down to rest when needed.  How could have God blessed me in any better way in this lifetime and still leave the ultimate when God decides to call me home.

Yesterday afternoon Scott popped in to give me back the laptop he had been able to restore back to factory condition and setting it up again just like I want it is a fun thing to do. So now I can use my big computer here at my computer desk next to my bed or will be able to use the laptop on the bedside table while I rest and then take it out to the family room for the evening when things settle down here, which they are beginning to do.  Pat and I both just need a couple of days of quiet and rest, which this weekend is providing.

Carol, it seems power outages can occur in bunches.  The power crews have a huge job, sometimes under very difficult conditions to get us power as quickly as they can.  I know you all can experience very quick turns in your weather in the Denver area.  What great gifts are the hugs from your family members and our friends.  The other stuff is just that and usually isn't important at all.

Marilyn, glad you will have your tablet with you and hope you will be able to stay in touch with us while you away.  It is not the length of the posting or necessarily the content that is important but the connection we all have as we have become a cyber family that care for and loves each other.

Janet

Good afternoon!  We are enjoying a lovely day here.  Have been to church, which is all decorated in jungle style for Bible School, which begins in the morning.  We partner with several other churches to put on a great week of learning and fun for the kids.
Next Sunday we will have a joint program of the involved churches, and because we meet earlier, will be through in time for the other pastors to preach in their own churches, too.  It's a huge undertaking, and many people are needed to pull it off.  Thank God for volunteers who step up to do it!

Marilyn, have a wonderful time in beautiful Hawaii!

Carol, I would be afraid to even attempt driving in the Denver area now.  Especially with the eye problems I am having.  Oh, yes!  Those hugs make many things worthwhile, love them!

Larry, you sound so happy and content, and for sure, your brain is working just fine!  God bless you, I admire you so much, and feel blessed to count you as a friend.  When we finally meet, in heaven, we will have a great time getting to know one another better!

Our grandson Curtis and wife Toni have invited us to supper tonight, so I'm looking forward to that, especially hugs from the three g-g-daughters!!  Curtis and Darrel will plan a route to Florida that we hope will miss all the flooded areas!

I'm very sleepy, so think a nap is in order.   :sleepy:
