Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

It is a cool and sunny morning but our usual blue sky hasn't returned yet with all the white smoke from fires.  Everyone is wishing for an early rain/snow winter right now.  The leaves are turning golden already and nights are cooler but daytime heat has been setting record highs.

Reading Max Lucado  - there are three books in one volume.  That should be re-reading.  The first book is "Traveling Light" and another is "It's not about me".  Otherwise, it is fun to keep in touch with friends via internet or phone.

Well I was finally able to login by the back door.  I had to go to the bottom of the page and click on Administrator and was about to login.

Sure have missed being able to come in daily and read what y'all have been up to.

I will be back later I have a few things to do today and I have to go back to the beginning of Sept and catch up.

Marilyn...
...welcome back, it should not take you long playing catch-up, sadly not too many posts-posters since you last posted...

I just had a long phone call from a neighbor/friend.  We have terrific neighbors.  Today, was a scheduled mammogram test.  The worst part was driving to the new building.  They have 3 routers (circles) and three U -turns.  Cannot imagine anyone making such a difficult entrance to a hospital and care buildings. I hope the ambulance has a straight shot to the emergency door.

Time for cooking - tonight will be macaroni and creamy (white cheese) sauce.  Pineapple for dessert.

The big church is beginning a women's study and I dearly love it but just cannot go to a gathering.  At least, I think it is a gathering because they have a video showing - nope, I can't take the chance with bringing the plague into our house.    Also, a neighbor is lending a walker with a seat if Don wants it - sure would be safer than the walking stick he uses.  Air is still polluted from fire many miles away and any time we see blue sky, we are happy to see a break in the heavy whiteout.

Best health and happiness to all.

I have started a personal study of Daniel, since I am still not attending church. I found a good website that has a great commentary on the study of daniel. So I first read the chapter than go to the commentary.

Not much happening around here. Keith  is developing  or manifesting changes. He walks all bent over like an old man (he is 74), his steps are so tiny  and he holds onto the walls, store shelves and cars. I tell him not to touch other people's cars as he may set off the alarm. He refuses to use a walker and the hernia is getting bigger, he won't wear the hernia belt either. The hernia is so big the belt does absolutely nothing. He can't seem to find his way around the house any more. I really don't think it will be long before I have to place him in a hone.  My own health may be indicative  of determining that date. I keep praying and asking the Lord "who is going to take care of Keith should something happen to me.All I can do is to cry out to Jesus to help me.

French Onion soup is in the Instant Pot.  I really need to use that pot more - it did saute the onions nicely before pouring in beef stock.  Mom used a pressure cooker almost daily and I did as well although very nervous about that cooker.  Well, there was that one time incident with the pressure cooker throwing food all over the kitchen...

Finally, after many days of record setting heat, the coolness arrived.  Not the beautiful blue skies yet - we really do not sit outdoors or walk outside and that will not change until the fires are contained.

Marilyn:  Everything will work out somehow.  It is so painful to watch decline of memory.

One more month until my washing machine arrives.  A neighbor has offered her machine use - and one son has been washing, drying and folding our clothes so we do have wonderful helpers.

Don was watching the Broncos lose a football game.  I don't know how they can be so active when the elevation in Denver is over 5,000 ft. At home, we are higher and we really should be looking for a lower altitude for health sake - but nothing is low in Colorado.

I am happy to be here - resetting my name did the trick.

It is our anniversary today and I think we will celebrate months from now - a dinner out perhaps?  Meanwhile, there are always medical issues to take care and I am set for physical therapy (what a waste for me) next week.

One son lives within walking distance from our home and he is looking at a mixed breed dog this week - company for him and I hope for us as well.  Can't wait to see this one.
Our sky to the west looks a little bit more blue today - my heart goes out to the thousands of people losing homes, jobs and even loss of life with these fires.  A national tragedy!  Snow or rain, it would be so welcome to freshen the air.
