"To everyone of us  is given Grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ. Wherefore He says..when He ascended up on high He led captivity captive and gave gifts to men". EPH. CH. 4.
Everyone has received Grace, we are saved by Grace alone through faith alone, we were once held captive by sin and death and a future Hell, our Lord when He ascended to our Father destroyed their power to harm us, He gave us a completely different future and indeed a different present time. He also when we were sealed by the Spirit at our new birth, gave us gifts, these are for the use of others, gifts to us are gifts to use for others, if you received the gift of encouragement, then encourage, teaching, then teach, etc. etc.
We do not live for ourselves but to Him and for others. "Well done good and faithful Servant."
God bless you.

I have seen the most amazing thing this week.  The air temperature in the morning is colder than the snow. Crazy Right?  Well even crazier was the steam comming off the snow banks! This morning that steam created the most beautiful hoar frost.  I was driving with kids on the bus, so could not stop for pictures!

I am asking for prayer for 2 young women.  1 Is in complete denial of what God has ordained in her life, the other is a dissociated stage noe and is lost to the family and world.  There is nothing that can be done, till she wants help.  Both girls are in a really rough place.  Please pray, they are dear to our family.

Rambi's stitches are out, and he has the cone back on.... He cannot scratch or rub that eye yet.  Still he is our happy little guy again!

Heather has started a business.  She is making soap!  All pure  products!  Her FB name is Heather Brunet.  If you would like a sample to try and give a report to her, send her a PM on FB.

Carol

Judy"  Prayers for these special two young ladies.  Best wishes to Heather in her new business!  Atta girl!

I had an early morning message yesterday and there was an opening for the 1st. vaccine.  I took it and we had to dash to the university hospital.  It was so quick and painless - they have experts giving shots.  You have to sit for 15 minutes and then we were out of there.

I received an early gift from John for our anniversary gift!
50 long stemmed red roses!
They are beautiful!
We are 50 years married on Saturday

Carol

Happy Anniversary John and Judy!  50 roses - it must be so beautiful.

We are keeping on here and setting daily To Do goals.  Don has his 2nd vaccine tomorrow and my 2nd vaccine is in a week.  The worst part is the drive with all the angry speeders.  Yesterday, I called my friend who lost her husband (retired pastor ill for years) - she is doing very well.  We had a great visit and now will set up a plan to visit via telephone with several widows - it is so important to keep on checking friends.  That is like this little nook of the world is so nice to visit.

We cannot go to church, however Super Bowl was not cancelled.

Sunny and chilly, near freezing, outdoors.  We will take a walk later just to get some sunshine.

Blessed Assurance... so soothing!

Marilyn:  belated Happy Birthday - I saw the nice card Jackie made then forgot to mention it last time.   :-[

Don had a wonderful check up at the Veteran's hospital.  They had mentioned "glaucoma" a half year ago.  This morning, the results were showing he is just fine.  Such a relief.  He has enough other health concerns.  We are grateful for any good news.

Janet:  What is happening in your life?  Are you having the normal winter?  We usually get a lot more snow and after last year of horrible fires, we sure could use more snow.  I sure am more reluctant to drive in the snow here anymore.  Are you two doing OK?

Youngest son drove him to the VA hospital and he helped me pull the bedroom heavy drapes down so I could wash and dry that chore.  We are blessed with helpful children and grands as well.

JudyB

Thank you Jacqueline.

Happy really belated birthday Marilyn!

Carol I  am glad the VA results were good.  I pray things continue on the positive side.

We had a wonderful day on Saturday, Heather, Jon, Doug and Liz made a wonderful meal for dinner.  I ate too much!  Heather took our anniversary pictures.  We had a big dump of snow, and that created issues with driving. I am so glad John has the experience that he does.

Our covid numbers have risen.  We have been fortunate that our numbers have been the lowest in the province along with another area.  Snow sledders have brought the virus north ignoring the rules.  We now have a school closed down and an appartment with stricter rules.  We are at 22 active cases, and dreading the news of more cases.  As a bus driver I have to enforce the rules and I am finding this hard.  THe students have assigned seats and they sit where they want not where they are assigned to sit.  So today the schoold are being called in to enforce the rules.  I really hate being the heavy.

Well that is the update from NEastern Ontario. Have a good safe day folks!

Judy:  Thank you for your terrific music.  What does "Refiner's Heart" mean?   :Sorry for the children who cannot follow rules - parents need to know.  I would hope the principal would help in that way.  Thank you regarding Don's health - I have worked hard at "holding it together" these days.   Everyone here has gone through tough times and this is such a special spot of peace in our lives where we can vent.

Here, I am changing health insurance - it is so overwhelming (am cranky today).

All in all, we feel so blessed to have most of our days under control and we have been able to get what is necessary or at least a good substitute.  I am able to get in about an hour or so of sewing and that is a relief just to do something I like.  An Arctic Freeze is swooping in again.  There are tons of people on the street .

Have to go and look for my insurance ID card.   Always something.

Carol

We made it through some record-setting cold weather - of course, we have a home and think and pray for the homeless - the least prepared.  Former felons are in there too for prayers.  This has to be shocking reality for so many people.

I have a little antique piece of furniture that is filled with cards from everyone.  Today was the purging day to keep or not.  What fun reading all the notes from friends and family.  It was hard to let more than half of them go.

Judy:  What if you told the children to sit where they are ordered to sit and you wouldn't move the bus until they obey?  Those little rascles!

Carol

A good friend called this morning - she is recently widowed and I am so happy she took time to call me.  A few of us have talked about how important it is to check on each other - We had a lot of laughs and stories - that is how it should be - rejoice that we are worshipers.

Don brought home a really dry loaf of French bread - it is going to be a dessert with milk and egg since it is too fragile to toast.  Bread pudding.

Question for all:  Are you cooking or planning meals more than before lock downs?  It never changed much for me because we raised the family in Minnesota 7 miles from the grocery store, church and the high school.

Carol

How very nice to have your music "AT the Cross" in the background while I check in here.

I had an unexpected sick night but all is fine this morning.  We cannot imagine what was wrong.  Thankful for the recovery.

We called a niece in Texas.  They have been so cold in their house with all the grid problems.  Looking forward to Springtime.

Janet:  How are you?  I have not seen you posting.  Take care.

JudyB

When a goldsmith "Refines" gold he knows it is done when he can see his image in the gold!  A refiners heart means that Christ can see His reflection in our heart!

We have had some strange weather. Cold then warm enough for snow, then cold, up and down like a yoyo.  At least the next few days will be fairly nice!

I have started something new with my cell phone messages.  We are taking a passage of scripture and memorizing it.  Romans 6:1-4 was this week!

Romans 6:1-8
King James Version
6 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?

2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?

4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

The thing is the day may come where Bibles are outlawed.  The only scripture we will have is what is hidden in our heart.

Psalm 119:11
King James Version
11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

HAve a great weekend everyone!

I've been taking care of Freckles for the last 3 days. She was't feeling well and had diarrhea. I took her to the Vet and came home with 4 different meds. She also has a slight case of bronchitis.

Keith is doing the same, progressing, in the disease. It gets pretty rough for me when he sun downs and keeps waking me up. Some nights I get very little sleep, Not good for my health.

I hope I find a place to move soon. Gilbert is still looking. The problem is that I want to be in a specific Mobile home park. Please pray that a house will open up soon. I think I am going to have to arrange for Keith to be in Memory care after this house sells. I just can't tolerate not getting enough sleep. Even though Gilbert and Sonja want to help with his care, I really can't expect anyone to to stay over night so I can sleep.

I've been thinking about Janet a lot lately. and praying for her and Darrell/.

Judy"  Thanks for your post -

Marilyn:  That is such a wicked disease = hopefully the answers to prayer come quickly.

Janet:  We would welcome a note from you - take care.

We have been dealing with off and on snow and today the sun is shining and all the trees look beautiful with the white coats.

We are back from a drive to the huge hospital for my 2nd. vaccine.  Hopeful that there will not be more of these viruses.  This time, I had the shot and was not told to sit for 15 minutes.  Then, I had to find Don and the car - we found each other with the help of a couple  ;) We have friends who carried two cell phones just for those times.  After that episode, we thought it was a good idea but I doubt we will spend the money.

It is a beautiful day here and we can see the snow capped mountains all up the range.  A bonny
day!  Tomorrow, we are expecting  a snow storm.  That is the way it is living close to the Rocky mountains.

I am going to listen to the Gaithers - thanks to Judy!

Carol

It is quiet and overcast right now and supposedly the snow dump is happening this morning.  Moisture is always needed.  Driving home yesterday after my 2nd virus shot, the entire front range was draped in glorious snow with a beautiful blue sky.  I forget how many states are gifted with Colorado water - it would be a disaster if the snow didn't come.

Last night was the quilting girls on the internet.  Several are quilting every day - I am hit or miss with my quilts and do enjoy but it is not my main thing in life.  I sent an email to Janet and hope to reach her - she hasn't posted in quite some time.
