Larry:  Happy Birthday  :hbirthday: - you deserve a bit of cake.  Please take care and stay away from any group - this flu/cold is raging.

We did attend the Saturday church service and sat separate from others - Don just cannot get this flu and we have warnings on the news daily.

Judy:  this has been quite a rough winter for you and family.  I hope a few people would volunteer to assist Pat with her meals.  Let us pray she gets tender loving care.

Jackie:  I hope you can get some things accomplished now that home visitors have arrived.

We had a young couple and a friend our age over for dinner last night.  I fixed a lot of vegetables and served a cheese sauce if they so desired as a topping.  The prep is really a lot of work - standing - and my back almost gave out but thankful to be recovered today.  It is easier to fix a casserole but they really liked all the fresh vegetables.

Today, we are having high winds and there is a big fire but it is over an hours drive east of here so not visible.  Much too dry and dangerous conditions out there - fire is one of the border concerns since there are many camping and cooking in the rough areas.

Our printer stopped working for Don's laptop but it seems to work with mine so that is a nice gift for me and he had to buy a new one - imagine this, less than $70 and it has more perks.

Yes Pat's family are aware and doing all they can, It is difficult as they live in other communities or work far away.

This has been a beautiful day, I had the opportunity to go out to the mall with Elizabeth and her 2 kiddos.  Ivy is now 5 and is a real active child, keeping mom and those around her on their toes.  She talks up a storm and is very sure of what she wants.   It was a good time with the girls.

I didn't start with a new devotional last night, I think I will let this go another week, with these thoughts.

Are we fans, believers or followers of Christ.  A fan has all the paraphernalia, in the form of books study materials and such, a believer simply believes, however remember Satan believes there is one true God and trembles, but a follower follows even when the going gets tough.

Here is a song which really sums it all up.

Hi Everyone.  We have an overcast morning with 49 degrees as I start to write and only to get up into the mid-50's this afternoon.  I may make a quick trip to Walmart this morning to pick up a prescription and a couple of other items in the pharmacy area.  This evening I hope to go to the United Methodist's Mens pancake supper at the Church.  So far this morning I am feeling pretty good.  Last evening we went to Diablo's for a good meal.  We had talked about going to the Texas Roadhouse but I begged off as still wasn't feeling up to par nor have my taste buds returned to normal and I wanted to be able to fully enjoy our meal there.  My SIL sent me a gift card for Texas Roadhouse so we will save it until another time.  While my birthday was yesterday we will actually celebrate it with the family tomorrow evening.  If I am still in the mood I may start on preparing our tax returns.  I still am missing one piece of information I need but can enter the other data in the Tax Act computer program and get a pretty good idea of where we stand in terms of having to pay more taxes.

Jackie, I am glad the MS Specialist Nurse and Occupational Therapy team finally got around to handling your case and I hope they were helpful and that you got some good suggestions from the Occupational Therapist since he was too late to deal with the handrails you had already had installed.

Carol, we are waiting until tomorrow evening to have the Birthday Ice Cream Cake from Dairy Queen.  I spoke to one of the men who attends my Sunday School class and he said the attendance was way down Sunday.  It was a very rainy morning and that hopefully was the reason and not sickness.  I was very careful in the two doctor's offices that I sat in last week to not touch any of the magazines and to sit apart from the other people in the waiting room.  Fortunately neither office had many people waiting and they all were scattered as far apart as possible.  I was also careful not to shake hands with people at Church three weeks ago and will follow that practice as much as possible until this flu season is over.  It was nice of you to share your vegetables and to use some of them for your special dinner.  I have never heard of the cheese you used, although I think you may have mentioned it before.  We use a lot of Cheddar cheese in cooking.  I hope Don enjoys his new printer.  It is the ink where the companies make their money.

Judy, thanks for the info on Pat's families doing what they can for her and also that she does get the Meals on Wheels.  Of course those meals aren't much help if she isn't able to get into the kitchen to heat them up.  It sounds like you had a delightful time with the young girls and Elizabeth.  I think it would be fine really to do a devotional thought once a month.  I have three other devotionals that I read everyday and I expect most of the folks that post in the CP discussion probably do as well.  It is a great way to start the day.  I have always liked the song for which you posted the link.

Carol

Judy:  Thanks for posting that sweet song.  Very nice.  Yes, it is truly difficult when you live a long way from family especially in health matters.

Larry:  Wednesday is supposed to be a day of rain and critical for the moisture.  Glad to read that you are feeling better.

Yesterday, a pit from one date was thrown into the disposal and it stopped working.  Thanks to my mother, I know what to do and it did take some time but started working again.  Saving any plumber cost.

Larry Hanna...
...the MS Specialist yesterday...I have now given my permission to book me to go see the continence or is it incontinence? nurse, mainly to do with my mentioning of still having that watery bleed even though the camera went up me and I was told I was healthy down there and they could find no signs of any bleeding, told her this has been going on for a good couple of years, and not giving me trouble as such, no pain nor discomfort...told she will check for infection...where last time infection was ruled out two years ago... Also mentioned yesterday for the last couple of years I have a very tiny lump right side lower stomach just above my right top of leg - groin area...( hernia has been ruled out, GP from previous address ).....my MS more troublesome leg...no one to date has ever really checked it over and taken it seriously, just always wondered if there could be a link...to be honest I just want it ruled in or ruled out once and for all....I told her yesterday it doesn't hurt, but if pressed I can feel it, it does have a slight painful feel to it...told she ( continence clinic ) would also take a look at that for me....Well of course this is the NHS...told I should here from the clinic in around five weeks...of course this is just to hear, not necessarily an appointment date...this could well be a lengthy wait...

Hi Everyone. It is another overcast morning.  I didn't get up early this morning as what little I did yesterday seems to have sapped my energy.  So I will just take it easy, stay home and pretty much rest today.  I did attend the pancake supper at the Church last evening and it was good.  I was only gone for about an hour.  I had gone to Walmart as planned yesterday morning. This evening I will go down to Wifesaver's and pick up chicken dinners for us all as Pat isn't up to getting a big meal this evening and it will be topped off with the ice cream cake.  I did remember to get Pat a pretty heart shaped box of Chocolate Truffles, a cute little lady bug vase with miniature roses in it and a pretty Valentines Day card.

Jackie, it sounds like you had some satisfaction from the MS nurse.  To bad you have to wait 5 weeks even to get an appointment notification.  I sure hope our health system is headed in that same direction.  Here they look at a computer program that shows the available times the doctor has and schedule you an appointment at the time to speak with the office either in person or on the phone.  You sound like me in preferiing to know what is wrong rather than dreading something that might not even exist.

Larry Hanna

Hi Everyone.  It looks like we will have a nice day as it is to get up to around 75 degrees this afternoon.  I have a fairly busy morning planned if my energy will hold out.  I plan on going to coffee this morning after picking up my friend at the assisted living home.  On the way there I will make a quick stop at the Credit Union to make a deposit that couldn't be made online.  I will then drop my friend off at coffee and head up to our Church, which is just up the street, to leave a check for a spot in the Columbarium for Pat and I as well as a plaque to honor Stacey.  I will then go back down for coffee and finally take my friend home and come home myself.  I have decided trying to go back downtown to the Wisdom group is just pushing it too much as still haven't regained much of my strength.  We had a nice chicken dinner from Wifesaver's last night and finally started on that ice cream cake.  We hadn't set it out when we started eating and my poor son had a terrible time getting it cut as it was frozen solid.  We left it out while we had dessert and he was able to cut up the rest of it while it was softer so it will be easy to deal with as we finish it up.  About half of it is left and we will have to eat it (tough job but somebody has to do it).  That was the last time our granddaughters friend will be with us as she returns to her home in Kentucky on Sunday.  She has been here a month and has been a big help to our granddaughter after her knee surgery.  I think she will be back as apparently liked it here in South Carolina.  She lives in Kentucky.

It is raining in Arizona and we have a roof leak over the bathroom.  I will deal with it when business opens - Don went back to bed as he said there is nothing he can do about it.  I moved everything into the 2nd. bathroom - thank heaven for a 2nd. bathroom.

Awake and prayed for family and friends of yet another school shooting.  Thinking about how meaningless it would be to fret over a roof leak when people are in such pain over loss of their child - and the school worker.

Larry:  Your son should have put the ice cream cake in the microwave if he couldn't wait to taste the dessert -  :D

Our neighbors were going to leave this morning for camping - it is pretty plush camping as they have a massive 5th. wheeler and big truck to pull it.  With this heavy rain, they may rethink about going out today.  I am the package watcher for several homes - in case anyone isn't home, I pick up packages and keep them safe.  It is a non-paying job.

Today has been a long day.  Had a wonderful time at Senior Ladies at the sister church we used to go to. There was an elderly lady speaking about being a missionary in Nigeria.  The thrust of her message was how God answered prayer in her life in unusual ways.  One neighbor had a small dog that was a yapper.  One day her 2 children were in a sandbox playing and this dog was constantly barking, finally out of frustration she went out to see what was the matter.  He was standing between the sand box and a deadly snake that was heading to her children.  She didn't mind the barking after that!
It was good to get together with like minded friends.

John had a bus charter today and also tomorrow.  This add a little to his pay and makes life a little bit better for us.  Trusting God to supply and He has never let us down.

I am heading to bed, Sleep peacefully friends.

Hi Everyone.  We are looking forward to our second 80 degree day in a row.  It is suppose to stay cloudy all day.  I have nothing planned for today as was pretty busy yesterday morning.  I did get all of the items on my list attended to although wasn't able to get the Columbarium matter settled as the Church office didn't have the needed paperwork.  I got the name and telephone number of the lady who is handling this and called but haven't heard back from her yet.  Today will basically be a day of rest.

Carol, a roof leak is so annoying and can be so damaging.  I hope you can get someone to attend to it quickly.  I didn't think about the microwave for the ice cream cake although I have often done that with regular ice cream that is too hard to dip.  I saw my dad do that years ago and was shocked but it really works.  We did set the cake out last night as we began our dinner and it had softened by the time we ate it.  It is nice that you are watching out for packages.  A few days ago I told my neighbor across the street, who lives alone and is gone all day that I would do the same for him if he wanted.  He had moved from an aparatment and apparently had little to furnish his house so for quite a while I was getting deliveries almost daily.  Fortunately we live on a quiet street and these houses have an inset for the front door so things aren't too obvious.

Judy, it sounds like the lady speaking about her missionary work in Nigeria was very interesting and inspiring.  Glad John is feeling up to taking the bus charters.

Jackie, do they ever show the Westminster Dog Show over your way?  They have some of the most interesting dogs of all sizes and breeds.

Carol

Good Day everyone!

A roof repairman is coming Monday to look over the damage.    Today is still very damp and he doesn't want to walk on the tile roof.  Cannot blame him at all.  There has been no appreciable rainfall since last August so these couple of days with moisture and overcast is quite welcome in Arizona.

The neighbors took off today for a plush camping place.  Their 5th. wheeler is massive - they might as well drive a semi truck.  We had a  different trailer years before and it was very compact and all we ever needed.  We sold trailer and the vehicle when the motor stopped (like an air lock) and the trailer was pushing us to a cliff - getting ready to jump just before Don got control, we never took that camping again.  God was in control of that episode.

Larry:  We need to update and refresh our wishes for when we pass - our DIL had to handle everything from long distance for a funeral.

Here  comes the sun.....

Janice

Good morning y'all... showing my Arkie talk again!  😃  Larry, sounds like you had a nice birthday, I hope you will have many more!  As for me, I would rather not have many more, just the next one.  And then the next....on and on.

Rain was in the forecast for today...have not seen a drop yet.  In fact have not seen any for several months.  This area is dry as a bone. Please Lord, send rain!

I went to Amarillo Tuesday for another eye injection.  Have macular degeneration in both eyes now.  My glaucoma Doctor is also in Amarillo. I wish our town had eye doctors, 100 miles is just too much for old folks.

I got my income tax return done and in the mail today.  I like to file early because I like to get ahead of the crowd who file later, and get my refund quicker this way. I have extra withheld so I will always have a refund.  I am a retired bookkeeper and at one time I had a small income tax filing business.

Noon!  My lunch will arrive soon.  I get home delivered meals from the Senior Center.  I really appreciate getting this, as I seldom feel up to going somewhere to eat, and my back does not allow me to stand up and prepare meals anymore.  Y'all have a good day.  ~Janice

Larry Hanna

Hi Everyone. We start out with another warm morning here and we will be in the low 70's this afternoon.  Yesterday our area got to 84 degrees and we were able to open a couple of windows to let some fresh air into the house for a few hours.  The only thing I have on my schedule for today is to make a fast trip to Costco this morning to get a couple of items and to fill the car with gas.  The road in front of our development is being closed next Tuesday for a couple of months as a tunnel is built under the road to make our 6 mile Greenway accessible to the people living off of our main road.  Right now they have to cross the road and that isn't safe.  It just means we will have to drive a few extra miles to get to the Interstate entrance and from the exit back home.

Carol, nice to read that you are getting a few nice days down your way.  I am surprised you would have a leak with a tile roof.  Glad you have someone coming to repair it.  It does seem there is always something needing attention with a home. I am trying my best to have things well documented for Pat and for our son.  When we get the Columbarium matters settled we will have basically taken care of those items that are expensive at the time of death.  It is better to take care of these matters when we can rationally make decisions rather than in a time of mental stress at the time of death.  I don't mean this to sound morbid as I certainly don't feel it is.

Janice, congratulations on getting your income tax filed all ready.  My son told us he had already received his tax refund from the Federal and the State was due in a few days.  I am certain we won't be getting a refund and I am going to need to increase our withholdings for the future.  Glad your trip for your eyes is over for a few weeks.  The meals on wheels is a wonderful service. However, I know the quality of the meals can vary from place to place and I hope yours are very good.  At the Senior Center where my folks went for lunch very often the meals were great and the same food was sent out in the meals on wheels deliveries.  Where we moved from the food is prepared by the county jail prisoners for large numbers of meals and it wasn't much to talk about.  The respite center at our Church would get the meals but usually supplemented them with something tasty and perhaps some homemade dessert.  For several years I went to the respite center once a week to play the piano and sing with the attendees and would lend a hand in the kitchen and have one of the meals so I am speaking from personal experience.

Carol

The sun is out this morning after two days of heavy overcast and rain.

Janice:  that is a long distance for you to travel for any eye appointments.  Prayerfully, you will have success with the procedure - I know zero about the methods today.  good for you on your financial knowledge.

We have been watching one grandson play hockey - it is streamed lived over the computer.  Twice, we forgot to watch but now we keep reminding ourselves to set it up as we can sit in our chairs in the living room and put a laptop computer on the end table.  How sweet is that?  They are going to the playoffs.  Hockey season never really ends - when the children were young, I thought it went on forever in Minnesota.  Remembering an old Chevy suburban with  kids in back, driving through the snow and bringing food and drinks and standing at an outdoor rink.  Frozen in place.

Our other grandson is working full-time in fracking - and going to school.  He is a dynamo on energy and will graduate without any debt.

Larry:  Is Pat sewing anything special?  I am knitting a long scarf right now and not starting anything because our daughter arrives in a week or so and it is just too much to set things up in the sewing/guest room.  84 degrees sounds mighty hot for this time of the year - especially in your area.  We did have everything written for our children to know our wishes but certainly need to update it.

Larry Hanna

Hi Everyone.  It looks like it will be a pretty day but will be in the mid-60's this afternoon rather than the 70's and 80's we have been enjoying.  I am up and ready to leave for Sunday School and Church in a little while.  I doubt that Pat will be up to going today.  This will be the first time in 4 weeks I will have attended.  I plan on watching the finals of the PGA Golf Tourney out in California this afternoon.  I did watch it some yesterday afternoon.  Those are my plans for today.  I am still not feeling up to par so that will be plenty.  Pat and I did go out for our lunch yesterday as she hadn't been out of the house for about a week.

Carol, nice you two can watch your grandson play hockey without having to be at the game.  I am sure it is much more enjoyable than those years you stood out in the cold to watch your children play hockey outside.  It is quite an honor for the team to make the playoffs and I hope your grandson's team wins their games and can advance.  Your other grandson is achieving something that a lot of students don't in that he will graduate without student debt that is such a burden on so many people after they graduate. I lived at home on the farm when I went through college and the tuition was $70 a semester and the books were free to use and then return at the end of the semester.  They didn't change the textbooks each year either.  So I obviously graduated without student debt.  My sister is three years younger than me and since I went through college in three years my folks only had one of us in college at a time.  Pat isn't sewing anything special and in fact really isn't doing any sewing as just hasn't been up to it.  She hasn't even bought any fabric or new sewing tools for several weeks.

Marilyn

Sorry I have been away for so long. Just getting back here today to read  all y'all's news. Last weekend we went to Vancouver Wa. For the weekend going into to Portland Or for Lilly's 1st birthday party and back to Vancouver. that was a lon g drive  both ways for me since I do all the driving. We are really going to have to start flying that trip. I would still have to drive  from here to Eugene to get a plane. We took Freckles with us and I borrowed a kennel fgor her to sleep and eat in. She wob't eat unless she is in a kennel/crate. she has been that way ever since I got  her.

I do pray for Pat and hope she will soon be feeling a bit better. I think we all joined CP about the same time or pretty close together. This has been family to me forclose to 20 years.

Is Janet on her trip?

Hi Everyone.  We are expecting a cloudy day with only a small chance of rain today and a temperature this afternoon of around 75 degrees.  I did go to Sunday School and Church yesterday.  We had only a single Worship Service as probably 100 or more of our congregation were at an annual  weekend family retreat over at a camp ground in Rutledge, Georgia. I spent the afternoon taking a long nap and then watched the last couple hours of the golf tournament, the evening news, and a couple of hours of the Olympics.  It is pretty amazing what some of these ski and snowboard jumper can do in the air with the twists and turn and then land going backwards.  It is a wonder they have survived all of the practices without breaking their necks.  The only thing on the schedule for today is the tech from the Medical Supply company is coming around noon to check out my oxygen concentrator.  This is just a routine visit that will occur every three months as I am not aware there is any problem with the machine.

Marilyn, that does sound like a long drive and glad you are safely home and hopefully rested up.  Does Freckles like to ride in the car with you?  Interesting that Freckles will only eat while in the cage.  I am feeling better and had the best day yesterday I have had in a month although was really tired when I got back from Church.  Pat had a day with a lot of pain yesterday.  She is having quite a bit of problems walking and mentioned yesterday she thinks it is time to get a Rollator to use when she leave the house.  She uses the walker in the house but a cane when out and I am concerned that it doesn't provide enough support for her when she is not in the house.  The Rollator would also give her aa place to sit if needed when she is out and might allow her to get out of the house more often.  Did you get to see the Westminster Dog Show a few days ago.  Several of the champion dogs entered also worked as comfort dogs.

Larry Hanna...
...I can recommend this, I have this one, I chose this one for the two front larger wheels for stability...I also placed an order yesterday for another brand - make of rollator, basically for the same reasons, I also like these two because unlike many others, these dont have the wires - cables on show, which I dislike seeing...Link...first one I already have, second link I have on order...but I forgot to order the bag that fits underneath...The one on order folds in concertina style...unlike the one I already own...Remind Pat to claim VAT exempt...

Awaiting a roof inspection - he is late.  It is sunny and very windy here today.  this morning, both of us made it to the gym and I was able to get on the rowing machine after the treadmill.  A meatball soup is just starting in the crock pot. It is my own concoction and the broth seems to be alright.

Interruption:  the roof needs fixing in two spots - that particular problem is not insured.

Janice:  Do you say "fixing" to do something?  We were transferred to Texas from Minnesota and I heard "fixing" a lot.

Jackie:  Good for you for using the rollator to keep you steady.  Our good friend used the seat often which made it possible for him to take in a lot more activities since he could not walk well.

Off to see what has happened in the world today.

Larry Hanna

Hi Everyone.  We have a little fog here in our neighborhood and I expect there is a lot more down by the river.  We are predicted to be in the lower 80's for the next 5 days or more.  The tech came and checked out my oxygen concentrator yesterday morning and all was well.  I called and found out that after about 13 months this piece of equipment will become mine and I won't have a monthly co-pay on it as is now the case.  So by the end of the year that medical expense should be over and that is good news.  The calendar is clear for today.  Last evening Pat and I decided we would go down to Pizza Hut for the evening buffet today so don't have to worry about what we will have for dinner.  I just fixed her breakfast of scrambled eggs with peppers and onions, bacon bits and cheddar cheese.  I think I may try to get started on my taxes this morning although still missing one piece of the puzzle that always comes in mid to late March and prevents me from filing earlier.  I had a very good day yesterday and got up this morning feeling good so think what ever it was that put me down is now over.

Jackie, thanks so much for the links to the rollators and especially the reminder about getting one with the larger wheels.  I will send these links to Pat so she can check them out.  As long as the product comes from America we do not have to pay the VAT tax.  They haven't yet imposed that here in the USA and if you buy off of the Internet and the company has no physical presents in your State you don't even have to pay a sales tax (although this may have changed).

Carol, glad it is only two spots on your roof that need repair and not a whole new roof.  Hopefully it won't break your bank to pay for the repairs.  If your homeowner's insurance is like ours we have a fairly large deductible before insurance would pay any portion of the costs even if it is a covered item.  I hope the repair can be done quickly before you have more rain so there is no more damage to your ceilings or walls.

Larry Hanna

Hi Everyone.  It looks like we will get to 80 degrees this afternoon and it is already 68 degrees as I begin my day.  I awoke at 3:30 this morning and just couldn't go back to sleep.  So about 5:30 I got up and showered and dressed for the day.  Other than dinner at Church is evening and Scott and Jennifer coming out afterwards I expect today to be a pretty quiet one.  I did get most of my income information summarized and ready to enter into my on line tax preparation program, which I will probably start on today.  We did go to Pizza Hut last evening and they were very busy so other than to give our son a hug when we came in and when we left there was no time for him to sit and visit with us for a few minutes.

Carol

I was able to get to the gym and exercise indoors twice in the last three days.  It feels so good to move - outside temperatures are quite chilly as there is a mass of cold air for five days after several months of record-breaking highs.

A good friend wrote a nice long letter to me - she is a retired pastor's wife and takes tender care of her husband (who now has to have only blender food).  It means so much that she would take her time -   We 5 celebrate birthdays at Kneader's bakery.  I thought of her today upon learning of Billy Graham's death since her husband has been a loved pastor..

Joke about Billy Graham:  Being interviewed on the radio, someone asked Ruth Graham since her husband was gone so often if she had every thought about divorcing him.  She replies, divorce no - murder, yes:

Daughter send a message about Denver's temperature dropping 72 degrees in 40 hours.  Good news for the mountain snow - finally.

Larry:  Nice that you could squeeze in an extra hug with your son.  He sounds like a winner.

I finished knitting a scarf - after taking it apart twice because of my ineptness.  Do not like knitting but it was there and sometimes it is too tiring to be sewing.

Janice

Carol...not sure if I say "fixing" that way.  If I do, it is one of those habits one is unaware of! 😃  Mostly, I say "gonna do so & so..."

I heard on the morning news that Billy Graham passed away.  We went to 2 of his crusades, in Lubbock and Albuquerque, many years ago. If there is such a thing as "stars in a crown", he will be weighted down.

I am so weary of this pain in the neck.  It's not just a wise crack, but is for real.  I have completed physical therapy for a month, and also chiropractic therapy just as long...and 2 injections at the spine clinic in Lubbock. But still have the pain.  What I need is Arthritus healing.  Not exercises.  Prayers please.

Everyone, I hope you have a great and productive day.
This is the day the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it.   Ps 118:24

Hi Everyone.  We are expecting another beautiful day here up into the 80's again as we had yesterday.  I have a pretty busy morning planned as will stop on my way to pick up my friend for coffee at a hardware store and buy a couple of light bulbs that are needed for the light panel in our bathroom.  Then we will go to coffee, stopping by the Fed EX store to send back the back massager that Pat had gotten last month as it doesn't seem to be working correctly.  After coffee I will bring my friend home.  From there I plan on going back downtown to the Church and attend the Wisdom Group.  This will be my first time attending in a month.  Finally on the way home I will stop by Walmart to pick up a grocery order Pat placed on line yesterday.  We did enjoy the dinner at Church last evening as had meat loaf, mashed potatoes, mixed vegetables, biscuit, salad and a small piece of dessert.  Our granddaughter seemed to be the happiest we have probably seen her since she moved.  Her knee is heeling nicely and she said the PT is helping and she is now experiencing little pain.

Carol, so nice to read that you are feeling better from the exercise and walking.  A few days of cooler weather is probably welcome at this time of year down your way.  The pastors wife sounds like a lovely and thoughtful lady.  Our son had some rocky years in his late teens and life has dealt him some hard blows but he is a keeper and we love him very much.  We never go to Pizza Hut when he doesn't give us a big hug when we arrive and as we leave and the same when he comes to the house. It is nice.  I saw an article headline yesterday about the big drop in temperatures in Denver.

Janice, I think Billy Graham was much beloved by many people across the world as he brought the good news of our salvation through our acceptance of Jesus Christ.  He lived a long and had a wonderful ministry.  There was a long article about his life in the newspaper.  I watched many of his crusades on TV.

Janice, so sorry you are experiencing so much neck pain.  I watch my wife suffer with her back, legs and feet due to arthritis and the spinal programs.  She has now pretty well exhausted all of the suggested avenues of treatment and we both realize this will likely be something she will have to bear for many years ahead.  Are you able to rest at night.  Does an ice pack on your neck help?  That seems to give Pat relief when she arises in the morning.  She does use a pain pill and muscle relaxant when it gets so back for her.  She has enjoyed the last two days as has had a bit of a respite from the pain but knows it is only temporary.

Marilyn, it does take out the joy of writing when we lose a long posting.  I think most of us can share your frustration at that happening.

Carol

I just finished reading Ecclesiastecs (looked up the spelling).  Reading a quote from Billy Grahams nephew in the news - he said his uncle was always the same devoted man.  Isn't that nice to hear?  This is another quiet day as Don is not feeling well this morning - he has a telephone meeting this afternoon with one of his VA doctors.

Janice:  Pain in your neck affects everything.  I hope you have an excellent doctor.

USA Women's hockey won the gold.  We don't get that channel so I had to read about it this morning.

Larry:  Indeed  - your son is a keeper.  Sending prayers for pain relief for Pat.  How nice to have a granddaughter so close and such good news on her knee healing.  Nice that you can send a massage pad back since it is useless.

Good morning. I am going to try again to remember what I had posted and lost yesterday.

Keith had the stitches removed from the biopsy he had last week. We have not heard back from the pathology  lab about if it is really a Basal cell carcinoma. The Dr is sure that it is though. He seems to be getting worse with his memory and I really need to get the legal work taken care of ASAP. He says he doesn't care that he can't remember things. I get so frustrated at times and it is so hard to remember that he can't help it and I need to be more understanding of his predicament. There are times when I feel like I am living alone because he sleeps so much or at least acts like he is sleeping. Please pray that the Lord will give me better understanding and calmness in caring for Keith.

Soon be leaving for my new every 4th Thursday in the month MS Social evening....This is held in the bar room of a golf club, not really my type of social choice but we have a sit down meal which costs next to nothing, followed by a cup of tea and raffle, then maybe a game of cards or something else to pass the time...

Not sure what is happening when I type in here, dont think it is my mouse playing up, but words wont type, this doesn't happen anywhere else...was doing this a few days ago as well...

Just had my time call, time to leave, a half hour car journey...

I am back home...didn't win any raffle prize, nor did I get my after dinner drink of tea, dont know how I missed that coming around, nor was I aware of anyone drinking, nor cups being put down...I had ordered it...and I never left the table, nor did I fall asleep..I realised we were coming to the end, people were saying goodbyes or getting there bits together, their jackets, when i said we haven't had our teas yet, only to be told we have had them...Well a typical social club atmosphere, I would say more people there without MS than there were with MS, and more couples than singles...anyway it did get me out socialising for a couple of hours although I do find it rather on the clique side...not sure I shall continue just for the sake of it...No after dinner card games just a young man playing guitar which was pleasant but the groups around the four tables of eight people per table, just carried on their conversations, some even with their backs to him, hardly taking any notice of the man entertaining us apart from the odd clap after each song...

Marilyne...
...it is not always easy to understand what others are going through but if it is any help, just think " if the shoe was on the other foot.." you are supporting him as any caring and loyal wife can do...you are doing your best, you cant do any more than your best...

Is anyone else having problems typing, mouse keeps freezing, writing is on a go slow, and keeps missing out letters... this is only happening on here...
