I have been off for a few days, my eyes have been giving me trouble.  Very sore, but the optometrist didn't find anything that would cause it.  So it is a wait and see time.

I will be glad when the Olympics are over, I only really watch the skating, and the Canadians have done well.

It is late so I am off to bed, have a good restful night everyone and a blessed day tomorrow.

Larry Hanna

Hi Everyone.  We are headed for our 7th 80+ day in a row today.  We are enjoying the nice weather although the humidity is fairly high.  We are to stay in the 80's for three more days and then will be in the 70's next week.  Our schedule is fairly light today.  The housekeeper will be here around 10 am and shortly thereafter we will leave for a medical appointment for Pat.  I plan on staying in the car and reading my ebook while she has her appointment.  We then plan on stopping at our new IHOP for our main meal of the day.  Scott and Jennifer have both eaten there and said they had really good meals.

Carol, so sorry to read of Don's continuing to feel bad and hope the doctor was able to suggest something to help him feel better.  If you get an NBC channel on your TV you should be able to view the Olympics during the evening hours.  I have been watching it there for about an hour each evening.  However, I haven't watched more than that although I have the NBC Sports app on my phone and they provide a lot of coverage.  I did get the massage pad back into the Fed Ex hands and usually when that is done the credit appears on our Visa bill.  Amazon has a pretty neat system for handling their refunds including giving you the label to return the item.  If you are returning something that you ordered but then decide not to keep and there is nothing wrong with the item the return shipping costs are just taken out of the credit rather than having to pay at the Fed Ex office.

Marilyn, sure hope Keith gets a negative report on the carcinoma.  I had one above my upper lip and the doctor said it would never kill me but could eat through my lip.  Fortunately the MOHs surgery removed all the cancer and there have been no more problems.  Having spent time with my mother as she suffered from dementia I think I have a bit of an understanding about how frustrating it can be.  If you haven't done so please contact your local Alzheimer's Association as they are so helpful and undoubtedly there is a support group in your area.  The information we obtained was very helpful and the lady that came out to talk with us provided very helpful information that helped my Dad and us understand the situation.

Jackie, glad you were able to attend your MS social function.  Sorry you find the folks attending somewhat cliquish.  Maybe you can find newcomer's who also don't know anyone and make friends.  My experience has been that often these groups don't mean to be cliquish but when we get to know someone it is our tendency to gravitate to them.  The group that we used to go out with after Church for lunch probably appeared that way but it wasn't and we welcomed anyone who wanted to join us.  Sorry you weren't a winner in the raffle but better luck next time. I am not having any trouble typing in this discussion.  Maybe you have worn out your keyboard.  :)

Judy, eye problems are always worrisome and sure glad the eye doctor found nothing wrong with yours.  The Canadian's have done very well in the Olympics.  The USA has really struggled in many of the events.

All packed for a one night visit to a Phoenix suburb - at the place our oldest son & wife rent until June.  Tomorrow, our son wants to take Don and a husband of my cousin to a railroad exhibit.  We three gals will find something to do - at least something to talk about.  I think that is the plan.

Last night, we watched grandson's hockey team win the first of the playoff games.  Saturday night, they play St. Thomas (in Minnesota - that team is rated very high). I remember living there - all the outdoor games and wishing (almost praying) that the children's teams would lose and stop the never ending games out in the freezing cold.

Judy:  Are your eyes feeling better now?  Take care. Do you think it could be an allergy?   Yes, Canada did very well.  We didn't see much of the games until they ran parts of it at night.

Larry:  Thank you for good thoughts for Don.  His meds have changed so we shall see if this will help.

Jackie:  Hoping you will have everything working better for this site  Strange problem.

Just testing, testing, mouse seems ok at the moment...

Hi Everyone.  Our day is starting out overcast and a bit foggy in places although I don't see fog here in our neighborhood.  I have a light schedule for today.  I do want to attend my 10:30 meeting as have missed the last four weeks, which is the longest period of not attending a meeting in the years I have been involved with Al-Anon.  I will probably watch some golf this afternoon and a little bit of the Olympics this evening.  Otherwise it will just be a restful day.

Yesterday Pat's appointment didn't take very long and so we came home for awhile rather than going to eat.  A little after one we went back downtown and returned a couple of items from our on line grocery order that I had picked up on Wednesday.  The bag of apples had cut out places or cuts on three of the apples and were not acceptable and there was one other item Pat decided she didn't want.  I went into the Walmart and got in line with 6 people ahead of me only to find when I got to the counter that this was a separate money transactions section and the service desk was in the next area over.  I felt rather dumb as when I got there I didn't have to wait at all.  They were not able to find our order in their computer even though I had the Order, with the number they assigned, right on my phone.  So he gave me the refund on a gift card, which was fine as we shop at Walmart a lot.  We then went over to the brand new IHOP and had a very nice lunch.  I had their +55 breakfast special of one scrambled egg, one sausage, one bacon strip and one small piece of ham, plus hash browns and a pancake.  It was all I could eat and the price was very reasonable at $5.99.

Jackie, I haven't a clue on why your keyboard and mouse would work OK at other websites and not in this discussion.  It sort of defies logic but strange things happen on these computers.  Jackie, I have found in participating in men's coffee and other men's groups that we don't have any trouble in finding something to talk about.  One advantage of being older is we have a lot of life experiences plus we don't remember what we or others have said a few days ago and if we do it is fine to hear it again.

Carol, I sure hope Don's new medications help him feel much better.  Nice to see he plans to go to the railroad exhibit with his son and cousin.  I bet you ladies will be able to find something to talk about.  :)  I hope your grandson's team is able to beat their next appointment and you don't have to be out in the cold to watch the game.

Janice

Hello to everyone.  I have been AWOL from this site for a few days.  Elaine (my dtr) and I went to a pancake breakfast this morning (fund raiser) at a church nearby.  Earl and I were members there for several years. Good breakfast!  I couldn't eat it all, the plate held 2 pancakes, bacon, scrambled eggs with coffee.

Larry you asked recently how many more years before retirement...for my grand-dtr's husband in the Army, now I know, it will be 4 years.  They were here for a visit recently and I asked him. He was sent to Ft Sill, OK almost 2 months ago. I asked him what kind of work he does, and he is teaching.  My great-GrSon is a 6th grader in school near Lawton, and rides a school bus for the first time in his life.  He seems to like it there.  He lived in El Paso most of his life, as his Dad was stationed at Ft Bliss there.  He was sent to South Korea for 3 years, and family was allowed to go too.  Patty home schooled Sidney while there.

I saw in the local newspaper recently that the trial for the shooter at the library here won't be anytime soon, but will be held in Roswell, NM instead of here, sometime next year. My Gr dtr will have to go as a witness.  I hate that she has to be a witness, this whole thing has tormented her enough already.

This is the day the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it. Â  Ps 118:24

Carol

We are back after spending  a day and half in the Phoenix suburb.  The railroad car exhibit was really interesting.  We walked through many cars - some are privately owned and they are allowed to hook up with an AMTRAK train.  Would that not be so neat?

Yes, we talked a lot and will no doubt be really tired in about another hour.  We treated son and DIL to a light supper last night and they gave us a gift card for a restaurant here since they have been using our home as a base for catching planes.  They really really travel.

Grandson is playing right now - it is 0 to 0 at the moment.  Don't touch that sweet boy!!!!

Janice:  Sorry for your anxious feeling about your g-daughter testifying.  All of us reading - will say a little prayer for her and you too.

We had such a nice lunch fixed by our DIL and she made a special old family treat (her mom's banana pudding) -.

Larry Hanna

Hi Everyone.  We are to have another nice day with a 50% chance of rain this afternoon.  I am going to Sunday School and then plan on coming home to get Pat so we can go back to Church.  We will either go out to eat or pick up something to bring home to eat.  Then will have a quiet and restful remainder of the day.  I do plan on watching the golf tournament later this afternoon.

Janice, glad you enjoyed the pancake breakfast.  I find that pancakes are very filling anymore.  Thanks for the info on how long for retirement four your granddaughter's husband.  Sometimes trial are really put off.  Obviously the person waived his rights to a speedy trial.  I suppose the idea is that the witnesses recollections will fade a bit and the defense attorney can trip them up someway to the benefit of the defendent.

Carol, it sounds like the ladies always went to see railroad exhibit.  Glad to see you enjoyed it.  Trains are really large things.  I can't imagine owning my own railroad car.  I will be waiting to hear the outcome of your grandson's hockey game.  Speaking of banana pudding, Pat put together a banana cream pie and it is very tasty.  It was a nice ending to our meal of chili last evening.

Carol

Good Sunday to all!  We slept better in our own bed last night.

Larry:  We did watch the game over our computer last night.  It had a buffering problem at the most intense time (overtime with whoever got a goal first).  Then, both of us saw the other team won on the scoreboard.  Our daughter called and said WE won!. Imagine that - such a mistake and such poor coverage of the game.  So, that is the 2nd game of playoffs and they will be in one more soon - we would hope they would go all the way.  Reid's team was rated lower than both of the last two opponents so the boys must feel happy.  Such nice young men - the school is strict on behavior.

This week, someone is coming to check out the roof where it leaks - and maybe we can get something scheduled for repair.  That would be nice and I would be thankful.  Don has two VA appointments and daughter arrives Friday.

Hi, friends,

I'm sorry I've been missing.

It's wonderful to catch up with y'all. May our Lord bless each
of us, as only He can know all our needs.

I've still been taking care of the kitty and his needs, plus finances for my sister in law. I hope she will be able to return home soon.

Y'all have a good rest of the day.

Hi Everyone.  Our day starts out rainy and is to continue through noon and perhaps afterwards.  We will stay in the 60's all day.  We had the most folks attending our Sunday School class yesterday that I have seen since we moved here 3 years ago.  We did not go out to lunch but I stopped at Firehouse Subs for a big sub that Pat and I shared for lunch at home.  I have fixed Pat's breakfast and put out some stuffed peppers to thaw that we will have for our dinner along with a salad and there is still banana pie so we will eat well this evening.  I struggled with weariness yesterday afternoon and went to bed around 8 pm.  I am still weary today so don't plan to do anything after I finish with the discussions and have decided not to put in a reservation for our monthly Senior luncheon at Church tomorrow.

Carol, sorry your Internet connection to the game was not strong and that it was hard to watch.  The scorekeeper must have hit the wrong button showing who won the game.  Glad your grandson's team won their second playoff game.  Our North Augusta High School girls basketball team won the State Championship last week for the second year in a row.  Nothing wrong with your grandson's school being strict on behavior and sure wish that existed in other schools.  We all need to know where the boundaries are or we wouldn't need laws.

Ruth Ann, I see you continue to look after things for your sister-in-law.  She has had a long time away from her apartment and her cat.

Carol

Ruth Ann:  Prayers for you and also your SIL to recover so your daily tasks will ease.  Keep us posted.

Our neighbors across the street are getting small rocks for their yard.  There is no grass in this area - grass takes too much water.  We are used to it here and do not mind it a bit.  Other shrubs and cacti are easy to grow - everyone has a drip system installed in yards and that makes water-saving sense.

Washing clothes and dusting, now to vacuum.  Last night, I fixed two large pork chops with a sauce in the crock pot and we only ate half of the meal - yea.... leftovers.  A big equipment with a front loader just drove up the street with a huge Saguaro cactus to be planted in someone's yard.  That size would be terribly expensive.

Janet:  I spotted you online - good morning hug to you.

Thanks for the hug, Carol!!  We got home on Thursday night, really tired, so have been resting and not much else!  We haven't even gone to the store to get bread!  Yesterday after church I put on a big pot of pinto beans--that tasted good!

We had a wonderful, although very strenuous trip!  We walked anywhere from 3 1/2 to 8 miles per day most days, climbed hundreds of stairs, had numerous plane rides, several loooong bus rides, etc.  But at 80 and 77 years, we did quite well!  Darrel knows his limits so he skipped several of the hikes, and I did a shorter version a few times because of another problem I was dealing with, not because I was too tired. We thought we were the "most senior" of the group, but there was one fellow who was three months Darrel's senior!   :) ;)  There was a group of fourteen for the trip after we met the five who didn't go to Easter Island, and everyone was quite congenial.  We went all the way to the tip of South America, enjoying Patagonia and its beautiful scenery and wildlife, including birds.

I have been posting a few photos on my FB page, but my phone won't allow me to post but one at a time part of the time.  I'll keep adding a few every day or so.  Last night Curtis and Toni invited us to their house for dinner (supper to country folk like us!)  They are leaving for Florida on Friday to Mark's, and we wanted to see them before they leave.  We so enjoyed seeing them and the sweet great-granddaughters!  Spring Break is next week, so no school for the girls.  Of course, they are over the moon about going to Disney World!!

It took me quite a while, but I have read all your posts since I left!  Needless to say, I won't be commenting on each one.  But I'm sad several of you have been struggling with coughs, back pain and other problems.  Hope everyone is much better now, and see some are!  :)

John fed and petted our cat and watered my plants for me.  He said he came out nearly every day to pet the cat for 20 minutes!  He is lonely.  I told him when he gets his apartment straightened up, I will help him find a dog.  That would be wonderful company for him, and get him out for a walk every day.

I am gathering material and journals, preparing to begin my book "Walking Beth Home."  She deserves for the rest of her story to be told.  Prayers for the project to be done according to God's will, will be so appreciated.  I sometimes (to be honest, a lot of the time) have trouble staying focused, determined and motivated!

It is terribly dry here, actually across several states.  And the wind does not help! We need moisture desperately!

Before this becomes a book, I will stop.  I must say, it's really good to be home!
We were both more than ready to come home!

Hi, folks,

I was "in the neighborhood" (actually on the computer), so decided to stop by once again.

Y'all are right, it has been a long time since Christmas Day when my sister in law has been in her home. I imagine she's feeling a bit pampered there in the rehab center.

She is not allowed to put one of her feet onto the floor. So, that's what's holding up her progress.

They say tomorrow will be a great day.

May God bless each person who comes here to read and/or leave a message. I love each of you.

Well UK is in for some rough weather this week, Arctic snow...our temps have hit an all-time low since 5 years ago...

...we have an " Extraordinary General Meeting " tonight...I am sure you all know what this means..."  a group would ordinarily hold an annual general meeting (AGM), but where an issue arises which requires the input of the entire membership and is too serious or urgent to wait until the next AGM takes place...the state of our parkhome grounds...By the sounds of this I can expect a lot of moving machinery floating backwards and forwards during our Summer...

Larry Hanna...
...I had to give in and order another mouse...gone for Logitech Silent Mouse...states easy set-up, well it would need to be where Richard is concerned ::)

My mouse has come, already connected by, guess who?...me...so simple anyone could do it apart from you know who? he hadn't got a clue...the only problem now is the touch is so light I cant use my right hand, my right set of fingers, my Peripheral Neuropathy..so this one is not making my life easier but harder, it is so silent, one doesnt even know when one is touching it..dont think I am going to get along with this mouse...

Well our weather is the calm before the storm...

Hi Everyone.  It is a beautiful day that is going to be in the high 60's by late afternoon.  I woke up feeling alive this morning after two days of being exhausted.  So am looking forward to the day.  We need to get Pat a new phone as hers started acting crazy yesterday.  She uses the small phone that isn't a smart phone and the last one we got at Walmart so guess that is likely to be where we will go today.  Then we will probably have our main meal out today.  I am thinking Ruby Tuesdays sounds look.  I have nothing else pressing the rest of the day.

Carol, I remember seeing all of the rock covered yards in the Phoenix area and how strange the very green yards looked.  Isn't it great to have enough left overs for another meal.  We often have left over meals and some dishes are even better the second time.

Janet, you have been in my thoughts and I felt it was probably about time for you two to be getting back home.  Glad you could take a few days to rest up rather than having to immediately jump on the fast track.  It sounds like you had a wonderful trip and with all of that walking and climbing you must be in very good physical health.  Glad you were with a compatible group.  Your little great granddaughters are at a nice age to be going to Disney World.  A dog for John sounds like a very good idea if he is allowed to have it in his apartment.  I am glad to see you are going to finish Beth's story.  It is great to have you back as you were gone a long time and we missed you.

Ruth Ann, nice to see your post again today.  Enjoy your nice day.  Perhaps you are having the same weather we are having here.

Jackie, I hope the issues with your General Meeting today are not too serious.  Having the Arctic snow doesn't sound great.  I have owned several Logitech mice over the years and am using one here in my office currently.  Sorry to read you are experiencing problems with the new mouse.

Carol

I had the calendar marked for a roofer to check in this morning and I .  called to confirm  What a crazy phone call.  they had us scheduled for Friday and that is the day our daughter arrives at the airport.  Now, they (the roof inspection) won't be here until the end of March.

Janet:  Kudos to you two on having such an active trip - it was good that you got away.  Now another book for Beth in the making.  I like the title.

Larry:  I miss the old flip-top phone.  This one is so sensitive - it has even dialed when I know I have not touched it.   Terribly embarrassed when I called a neighbor accidently at a quarter to 11 one night.  They could hear me talking.  Ruby Tuesday - we have not been in one for years.  It sounds nice.

Marilyn:  It has been a while since you have mentioned your son with a health problem.  How is he faring?

Carol thank you for asking about Roger. He is still battling the cancer, They changed his medication because instead of the former one shrinking his tumors they grew. He is on Oral meds  to cause the immune system to   attack the cancer. the meds  made him a type 2 diabetic so he is now on metformin as well. He is still working and taking time off to go to his Dr appointments  in San Francisco and when he is in bad shape to the hospital locally. He does have a local Dr  who gives him his meds.

Well 6.20pm and just as well Richard was out and about walking Toby when he bumped into our sites committee member who was notifying that the General Meeting is going to be re-arranged, well the meeting was due to start at 7.pm...short notice but today has been a rather unsure snow day, it is here now and laying but it has come and gone twice without causing much damage.....I have to say i am happy with this as my MS has really taken a nasty turn, the nerves in the top of my leg have come alive making my walking very hard...I had been toying as to whether I should go or to give it a miss...

Hello again!  We have a 70* day, with light winds!  :)
That makes me happy! We need moisture desperately, but if it's not going to rain or snow, I'm happy for it to be nice.  I just read on the weather thing on my phone that it has been FIVE MONTHS since Dodge City had a quarter inch of rain!  :o  Maybe soon, we will be blessed with moisture.

Ruth Ann, always good to read that you are still trucking along!  Good for you!

Jackie, I am not techie at all, so when I have computer problems I have to ask one of the grandkids for help.  :-[

Larry, thanks for you kind words of welcome.  It's good to be home again.  I'm really trying not to jump back onto the fast track; rather, I want to sort of keep a low profile and start working on my book.  I am assessing the activities I usually attend and deciding which ones I need to drop.  Otherwise I will just be frustrated with my lack of progress on the things I feel are more important.  We went to the Senior Center for lunch and Darrel commented that he thinks we will stop going,
as nobody sits at the table with us any more.  I've no idea why, but it's becoming embarrassing!

Carol, that's sure a long time to wait for roof inspection--a whole month!  Was it their mistake or yours?  Either way, too long!

Marilyn, I'm sorry about your son.  That stinkin' old cancer is such a thief!  I will pray for Roger.

Yes, Larry, John can have a dog there where he lives.  He just needs to get the place in some sort of order first. (My opinion!)  He says he's working on it, but it shouldn't take this long! The headstone is all engraved and will be set next week. They made one mistake on it, but John didn't see it, and signed off on it, so I'll just have to let it go.  It's not a biggie.  I wanted (on the back of the stone on her side) to say "She loved much and was much loved."  They left out the second much. It will be nice to have it there well before Memorial Day!  Oh, how I miss that girl! :'(

I need to contact Pat Scott H.  I tried numerous times while away, but none of them went through.

Darrel went to the bank and the grocery store this morning, so now we have bread and I have cream for my coffee!!    :coffee:

Hi Everyone.  We are going to have a rainy and relatively cool day in the low to mid-60s.  We plan on going to the Church this evening for the Wednesday night dinner.

Yesterday it was a beautiful day outside.  We did enjoy nice petite steak dinners at Ruby Tuesdays.  I had the salad bar for one of my two sides. There salad bar contains over 50 items and is really good. We then went to Walmart to get Pat a new cell phone as hers has become unreliable.  Now I just have to figure out how to get it set up.  I thought I could just change out the SIM card from her existing phone to replace the one in the new phone but that didn't seem to work.

Late yesterday afternoon I noticed two boxes had been delivered to my neighbor, who is out of town this week.  I had told him I would keep an eye out and if anything was delivered I would bring it over and store in the garage until he gets home.  I have a refrigerator type dolly so took that over and got the boxes on it.  As I started back I noticed the name was his and the address was up the street.  So I started up that way and went two or three houses when I discovered the house numbers were getting smaller and I had gone too long.  I turned around and found the right address.  By the time I got home my heart and arm were complaining but calmed down when I had relaxed in my easy chair. Overall Pat and I had a great day yesterday and enjoyed being out.

Carol, sometimes things just don't work out as we had hoped.  Maybe the rain will hold off in March and they can get the problem fixed.  I have never had the problem of accidentally dialing when I have my phone turned off.  We find Ruby Tuesdays has good food.  I think they are closing some of their restaurants and I sure hope this is not one of them.

Marilyn, it sounds like Roger is really a battler in dealing with the cancer.  I am glad he is still able to work.

Jackie, I sure hope today finds your MS settled down and not causing you problems like yesterday.  Have you done a Google search on the mouse jumping around problem.  I just did a quick search and see several different suggestions and solutions mentioned.  Unless you have a laptop with a touchpad it is probably not your keyboard that is the problem.

Janet, I sure hope you all are not in for another dust bowl period with the lack of moisture.  Good for you to assess the activities you have been attending and perhaps dropping some.  I think I am going to have to drop out of the Wisdom Group that meets on Thursdays.  That is the day I take my friend to coffee and get to spend time with men friends from the Church.  Then by the time I get my friend back home, about a 15 minute drive and then drive back and participate for an hour in the group I am exhausted and it has been taking a day or two to recover to feel good again.  I don't want to give up going to Sunday School and Church although it is also leaving me pretty exhausted for the rest of the day and usually Monday as well.  Are you assigned tables at your Senior Center?  If not, just find a table where other people are sitting and ask if the spot is taken.  I have found usually I get an invitation to sit down and can make a new friend or two.  We all have a tendency to sit in the same places such as Church but it doesn't have to be that way.  I guess it mainly not having to make a new decision.  Maybe John enjoys living with some clutter around him.  A couple of weeks ago Judy posted that Pat is not doing well and we haven't heard anything sense.

Janet

Good day to you all!

I am ready to leave the house, going to get my toenails trimmed, then plan to go to The Main Artery and paint with friends for a few hours.  I want to keep my painting skills, as have lots of great subject matter to work on.  Today I will be using watercolors, which I have the least practice, therefore the least skill in using.  But I plan to just enjoy and have fun trying!  It's not a contest!

I am thinking and planning and praying about the book; hope to start on it soon!

Larry, we all have to know our limits, and I'm glad you take care of yourself.I still hope to meet you while we are both still here on earth!

Time to get moving!!  TTYL!

Marilyn, that's the widest spread of time I've ever heard of a doctor "giving" anyone!  In other words, he has absolutely no idea!  I HOPE YOUR TAI Chi classes are well attended!  (Oops!  Didn't mean to have caps lock on!  Sorry.

We had a tiny bit of snow in Tucson today and the hills or mountains nearby have a lot more.  Roads up there are closed.  The elevation here is only a bit above 3,000 ft. - when we go home, we are higher than Denver - over 6,000 ft and Don will be adjusting to that once more.  He did very well at Christmas.

Marilyn:  That is a heavy load for Roger - may he have the best care available and family support.

I am taking a break - our daughter arrives tomorrow morning and there is a pan of fresh baked chocolate brownies for her.  She never gains weight - she only has chocolate for dessert and not often.  We will be driving to Yuma with her to visit a cousin who winters in Yuma.  Also, a fast walk across the border so she can see what that is all about.  We (US citizens} are drilled on our background when returning.  Everyone is astounded that we walk straight into Mexico -.    Things are tighter now at the custom crossing.

Janet:  Good for you - staying busy.  Good luck on the water colors.

Larry:  Why don't you cut back on Sundays and trade off going to one meeting each day?  It may be beneficial for your energy and for Pat's back issues.

Time to get back to reality here and finish cleaning.

Mouse is still playing up...I am now back to my comfortable to use original mouse, even the new mouse was doing the same thing...we have new batteries, and now put new batteries in our keyboard, still doing the same thing, it is like the mouse is typing but not always connecting, goes on a go slow, then if I click back, after a short pause the writings I have typed disappear...anyway as I type now, so far so good...

Well at last our snow has arrived, been saying our area would get it all week, then said today would be heavy snow, done my weather guessers check and now that has changed to light snow but some have now been updated during this last hour of being up to heavy snow tomorrow...with one saying blizzards, I check daily on three weather guessing UK sites for our area to see whether their predictions tally with each other...

Hi Everyone.  After a somewhat rainy day yesterday we are seeing a little sun this morning but suppose to be cloudy all day with a fairly high chance of rain tonight.  I will go to coffee this morning after picking up my friend at assisted living.  I told our minister last evening at dinner that I am going to have to give up the Wisdom Class and why.  I just fixed Pat's breakfast and cleaned up the kitchen and that is becoming almost too much.  We got a coupon yesterday from Rudy Tuesdays for a buy one entree and get one of equal of less value for free.  That is too good to pass up so we will be going down late this afternoon for our main meal.  That will be it for today.

Last evening Scott was able to install the new Ring doorbell we got for Christmas and it is really neat.  Anytime someone approaches the house I get a ring on my phone and can see video of who it is.  I can also speak to the person without having to go to the door.  He also got his mother's new cell phone set up and working.

Janet, so happy to see you took a day yesterday to enjoy your painting.  I would love to have you and Darrel visit us.  We have a nice unused guest room just waiting.

Marilyn, how nice of you to teach a Tai Chi class at the senior housing facility.  I hope Roger told the doctor he had selected the 20 year option.

Carol, is it unusual for Tucson to have snow?  I know you will be happy to have your daughter visit you.  I can't imagine never gaining weight.  That sure isn't my problem.  :)  One of the trips I took to visit my folks we went to the border and parked and walked over the or border crossing into Mexico, probably where you will be taking your daughter. My dad would go there each year and get his medicine prescriptions filled and saved a lot of money.  He showed the medicine to his regular pharmacist in Missouri and was told it was the exact same medicine that sold for generally 2/3rd more in the USA.  We were only there for two or three hours and I was more than ready to get back on US soil.  I remember how back the sidewalks were and all of the open front stores.  I am not yet ready to give up Sunday School and Church on Sunday.  Generally I don't have much to do except for Sundays and Thursdays other than doctor appointments.  Fortunately I don't have something scheduled every day.

Jackie, you have a very strange mouse.  :)  I have never known one to do what yours is doing. Sure hope you don't experience a blizzard.

Larry Hanna...
...the snow hasn't stopped all day, it is a real picture outside...the whole of the sky and ground is just white, it has now layed quite thick....supposedly we are now in the throws of Storm Emma...and this is supposedly sunny Dorset....well not at the moment it isn't...
