Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

Hi Everyone. It is another clear day that is going to be hot by the afternoon.  When I went into my office this morning and looked out the window I saw workmen digging big deep holes between the curb and the sidewalk in all of the yards and starting to bury the fiber optic cable that AT&T is installing to provide cable service to our area.  I knew this was going to happen but it was still a bit of a shock.

The housekeeper will be here shortly and that is all that is on the schedule for today.  Yesterday was a very busy day as while I was at coffee a friend called saying they were in the area and wondered if we would be able to meet them for a late lunch.  We were delighted to do so and we visited for about 2 1/2 hours as the restaurant wasn't busy.  I had gone to coffee and then made the hour drive to the Walmart and back for the groceries before we went to met them.  By the time we got home I was extremely tired and sure feel the results of the day today, even though I had a very good nights sleep.

Janet, the text alert is a very good thing in my opinion and we hope it seldom if ever will be needed.  I just bet you make that end of October deadline to get your book finished.

Rebot, the State of Georgia, which is just across the river from where we live, recently put into effect a new law that drivers cannot even hold a phone.  I hope our State will soon adapt a similar law although I am doubtful as this State does its own thing and doesn't even require a helmet be worn to ride a motorcycle. I am looking forward to some 65 degree temperatures here in our area during the daytime rather than the low 90's we are still having.

Janet

I'm not sure where or if this post will appear, as I saw earlier that Judy had opened October's postings.  Maybe she forgot to lock up here?  Anyway, I will post, and see what happens!

We drove to Garden yesterday to get the cover painting scanned.  Now I must figure out how to put things on a flash drive and transfer them to Xulon Press. I'm not very happy with them so far, as feel they are not giving me the support I need.

It's very foggy again here today, but they say the temp will get to 89 after a very chilly day yesterday--then temps to plunge again tomorrow!  I'll just look out the window in the morning and see what's happening!  ;)

I need to make a couple of phone calls. Much to do and little time.  I'm telling myself that after I get this book and the other one I have ready (The stories I wrote about the elder citizens of our county) done, that I will take it easier, have time to declutter and paint and so forth.  Hope I keep my word to myself!  ;)

Tonight we are going to Dodge City with our friends to the dinner theater.
This might be our last one, as they said they do not plan to buy more tickets.  All of us are getting to the age that we dislike driving long distances at night (Dodge is 80 miles one way) and the prices keep escalating.  This play plus dinner is $110 each.  We have enjoyed going for more than 20 years now, but won't mind giving it up, either.  Too much.... :-\

I must get busy!
