Hi, Friends,

I'm sending loving greetings to each of you.

It has been a good time of reading your posts.

Jackie, I hope your birthday was a good one, and that you will have many good days this year.

W ell, I have plenty to do before I sleep tonight. May God bless us as He desires.

Hi Everyone.  We have a crisp and sunny Friday morning with no wind.  I did spend a number of hours yesterday working on the two laptops and expect to do so again today.  I about have them as I want them but still need to prepare some guidelines for my SIL on how to use the Microsoft Edge Browser and a number of other things connected to the computer and software I have on her computer.  The housekeeper will be here in another hour or so.  Pat and I plan on going to to eat out main meal sometime around noon.  Not much else going on here.

Janet, we see the many trucks on I-20, from the frontage road that leads to our subdivision so have a good idea what you are talking about.  I know that we couldn't live very long without them.  I agree that reading the Bible is amazing as every time I pick it up something new stands out for me that I hadn't focused on before.  The lighted keys are very much a benefit since it seems most of the computers are black with black keys.  I have never used the Walmart mail order service for prescriptions as I can just call them in and then get a text saying they are ready.  I may have to stand in line for a few minutes but I usually get there shortly after the pharmacy opens and get waited on almost immediately.

Jackie, the Easter eggs will get covered but the bunnies will get cold if you have snow on Easter.  We are getting some unusual weather patterns.  We had freeze warnings out here again last night but don't think it got down to freezing.

Judy, hope the maple trees are very productive for you this year.  You both are very hard workers.  I have never had any desire to raise bees but know they are very vital to nature.

Janet, always great to get a good report from the doctor's visit.  Abby had a short Spring break.  I hope you had a good turnout for your meeting.  I see the Kansas State won their basketball game last night beating Kentucky by 3 points.  I didn't watch it as it came on too late.  I had watched the Nevada/Loyola game, which was a close one with Loyola winning by one point.

Ruth Ann, has your SIL returned to her apartment yet or are you still cat tending?  Always nice to see your postings appear.

Janet

Larry, I watched a little bit of the K-State vs Kentucky game after we got home from the meeting.  Darrel stayed up and watch the rest of it, and it seemed to us the referees were definitely in favor of Kentucky.  Every time K-State got up by 6 or 8 points, they would call fouls on them until Kentucky almost caught up by means of free throws. They called 26 fouls on K-State in the last half, and very few on Kentucky, even when their fouls were flagrant!  It is really a test to watch the coach keep his cool in the midst of such things.  And it wasn't just us; the announcers were commenting on the obvious favoritism, too.  It takes the joy out of watching the game for me when those things are going on.  Good thing I'm not an avid sports fan, I guess.  Why get upset over something I have no remote chance of changing?

It's going to be hot here today, and the wind is coming up again.  Still praying for rain!!

Judy, your way of life is so interesting to me, as someone who has lived all my life out in "the flatlands" to hear about tapping maple trees, cutting and hauling wood to burn, etc.  If we cut wood to use for fuel, soon there wouldn't be a tree in sight!  I'll bet the maple syrup is delicious, and soon yu will have your own honey, too!  SWEET!!  ;)

Only one couple I invited to the meeting came, none of the ones the other lady I shared the booth with invited came, but I'm pretty sure the ones who did come will become preferred customers.  So all is good!  I'm not discouraged about it.

I want to try to write some on the book today!

Good afternoon everyone.  We have tapped 25 trees, 19 yesterday and the balance today.  Yesterday the 2 dogs ran their hearts our and because Rambo is overweight we left them both home today.  They were full out as we were heading home John had the skidoo going fast.  So in the interest of their health they stayed home I must say they were pouting.  Yes dogs do pout!
We are tired.  I have used muscles that last night were screaming.  Today is not much better.  The work begins!

Janet we have a bush that is about 35 acres or perhaps more.  We ensure the young trees are clear to the sun.  We take out spruce and black elm.  The third wave of Dutch elm disease has hit, so the dead trees need to come down before they fall down.  The other trees we take are poplar (aspen).  Thus keeping the good trees to grow and fully mature.  If a maple has dead branches we will take them, to keep the bush healthy.

Have a great evening and weekend folks.  God's blessings be yours.

Larry Hanna

Hi Everyone.  This is suppose to be a very nice day going into the 70's this afternoon.  I do plan on attending a meeting this morning and then the rest of the day is clear.  I will begin the work on preparing documentation to send to my SIL on using the new laptop.  I talked with her yesterday and she encouraged me to take my time and not stress over the job so will try to do that although once I determine to do something I like to get it done.  I discovered last evening that the problem I was having with the Acer laptop was that the mouse I was using was failing.  I changed that out and no longer had the problem.  I have things laid out for Pat's breakfast and didn't need to empty the dishwasher this morning as we ate our main meal at Texas Roadhouse yesterday and it was delicious.

I loaded the new rollator in the car trunk yesterday and decided it was going to be too heavy for me to handle getting it in and out of the truck as it brought on the angina.  So I will get it boxed up and return it to Costco on our next visit.  In place of it we will get a second light weight walker for her to use when she goes out that we can leave in the car.  I am sorry this isn't working out but it is what it is and she would need a heavy duty Rollator, which is going to be too heavy for me to handle.

Janet, glad that K-State won the game even if they had to deal with refs that seemed to be one-sided.  The refs are graded by the NCAA and so it is to the benefit of them to be very fair and objective.  I plan on watching the K-State game this evening.  Sorry you didn't have a better turnout for your meeting but most things start out small.  Glad you are not discouraged about it.

Judy, that was a lot of trees to tap in a two day period.  No wonder your muscles were yelling at you.  To bad your dogs couldn't enjoy a second day out with you all so they could run and romp.  It sounds like you have a lot of trees and thus a source of firewood.  I have forgotten whether you all heat with wood or not.

Jacqueline

Larry Hanna...
...be careful and make sure the rollator you exchange it for will be enough to carry her weight...otherwise it maybe more trouble than its worth...Pats safety and stability is paramount...Will the rollator you bought not collapse, the handles should collapse lower for convenience  and so should the rollator fold but I do understand if it too heavy, they sure can be heavy as my one is...

Good morning!  It's bright and sunny here and I haven't even checked the weather prediction, will see what it does later.

Larry, sorry the Rollator is too heavy for you.  I know that Beth's wheelchair got to be almost more than I could load and unload, before she had to go to the home.  Well, we bought the handicap equipped van before then, and when she was able to use her motorized chair, she could drive up the low ramp into the van.  We took her van to Liberal to Jeff's carwash there.  He has full-time attendants, and when they aren't busy, he has them do detailing work, so they will get it all cleaned up and ready to sell.  It has really low mileage on it, so should still bring a good price.

We still have her manual wheelchair, motorized wheelchair, walker, toilet riser, and several other aids she used.  Plus a hospital bed, rails, etc. and lots of her personal possessions.  Someone came into her garage and stole a whole big bag of her blankets and throws that were in her wheelchair inside the van!  I cannot imagine who would do such a thing, or why.  There were two, in particular, that were special to me that I wanted to keep.  But here,
too, I must remember, it's all just stuff.  Sigh....

Tomorrow is Jeff's birthday, so we are going down after church, I am taking food for lunch, and in the afternoon we plan to go to Liberal to see the movie "I Can Only Imagine."  I've been told it's a really wonderful one.

I'm editing a book for a fellow painter and writer.  He has written it in the form of a play, and has over 800 pages!!  I told him if he doesn't stop soon,
it will be the size of War and Peace!  He is bringing it to me in manageable "bites", this batch was three chapters.  Even though he is a retired school teacher, he says his spelling and punctuation is atrocious!  (It's not THAT bad.)  But the story is strange, not sure I can tell where he's going with it.
I need to be working on my own book, but this is okay, since he isn't in a hurry and I can do it in pieces.  Oh!  I should mention that he taught high school art.  He told me he was a good basketball player and barely scraped by with good enough grades to quality to play.  At least he knows his weaknesses and isn't afraid to admit them.

Jacqueline, what happened during the final two hours of your birthday to mess it up?

I must get busy!  I am determined to get several things done today.  I did pretty well yesterday!

Pat, if you're peeking in, can you just say 'Hi' so we know you're there?
Thanks!

Good Saturday morning to most of us and good night to Jackie on this Holy Saturday.

Judy:  How many people in the world can write a sentence of "going out into the bush to tap maple trees"?  Fascinating.  Wishing you the best with bee keeping as well.

Janet:  Kudos on your health checkup - you have survived immense with faith and acceptance.

Ruth Ann: I hope your spring has finally arrived - cannot tell if you are in the never ending winter area.

Larry:  Prescription refills are so easy over the internet.  Don has the VA send his through mail and I run to the store so often, it is easy to pick it up too.  You wrote about having a "failing mouse" and I thought back to years ago no one would understand what you meant.  I plan to fix my apps today and head off any computer threats.  Who would want my information?

We had a record-setting 91*F this week in Tucson and now it is more normal and still warmer than normal heat.  We have roof repair in a few days and the outdoor part will be finished but there are three steps to repairing the bathroom ceiling all on separate days.  I need to see someone about my headache allergies and have an appointment this week.  Otherwise, just keeping on going through the freezer and trying to cook or bake everything before driving north - home.  Time to update the printer - have a good day - night.

JudyB

Carol up here in the north there are many who tap trees for their own use.  We have a handful of people who will be getting a bottle of syrup from us as well.

We have decided to create a trail into the back of the bush that we can use with our ancient snow mobile.  It will take work and time but it will also make gathering sap much easier, there is a fellow who plows the forced road and as a result it is very muddy this time of year.  There is still plenty of snow in the bush, so that will become our own "private" road to the back.

God bless you all tomorrow, and remember that our Lord and Saviour is alive!

Good afternoon everyone reading here.  This day has gone by rather quickly it seems.  I have had a lazy day, just getting over a sick 2 weeks.  I very seldom get sick, so it was not fun, that's for sure.  Coughing was the main event, that is rare for me too.  My dtr took me to ER and I got a prescription that helped.
I was supposed to go to Amarillo for eye doctor appt, but had to cancel. I have glaucoma and macular degeneration both. Re scheduled to 2 different days in April. Hope I can keep those, but I already have other things getting in the way, mainly no driver to take me.
Will soon be Easter, seems earlier than usual.  Easter was one of my favorite Sundays, when growing up.  What fun, looking for those eggs!  That seems so juvenile now that I am old.

Adios. Y'all take care, with love from Janice.
This is the day the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it.   Ps 118:24

Janice...
...yes special days now take on a whole new meaning than the happy times of our youth we once enjoyed...Easter Saturday for me was the day I lost one of my beloved dogs...I too once looked forwards to Easter and the expectation of waking up to Easter Eggs...

Janet...
...my end of Birthday was spoilt by " you know who "  once coming back home in the car 8.30-9.pm'ish being his usual self...then once back inside closed four walls...I just dont " play that game anymore " of acting as we are a happy couple whilst in company...this Jekyll and Hyde game that HE will play...

This morning we have put our clocks an hour forwards, I still woke and got up my usual time of 5.am'ish...We are now officially in Spring as from the day before my Birthday.... :) even though there is still talk of snow coming over next weekends Easter Bank Holiday periods...as I am typing I can hear the birds chirping about outside, poor birds are sure going to get confused, isn't this meant to be their mating season?...

Hi Everyone.  We are having a rainy and pretty chilly morning and we will only get into the mid-50's today.  There is a low percentage chance of rain throughout the day.  I did attend my meeting yesterday morning and then stopped at Aldi's for a half dozen items.  Pat put together a really good Reuben type casserole using some of our left over corned beef, a jar of sauerkraut, sliced swiss cheese, bread crumbs and thousand island dressing.  This was layered and baked in the oven and was very tasty.  She made only a half of the recipe and it made plenty for at least three meals for the two of us.

Yesterday I put a program on my two computer and on the one I am sending to my SIL that allows me to take control of her computer.  I will be able to talk with her on the phone and show her what I was going to try to put in words.  Then if she has a problem I can see what she is talking about and guide her as well as do the maintenance on it. It was called Team Viewer.  It is going to save me hours of work and I will be able to ship the laptop to her perhaps even tomorrow.

I only have a few minutes before it will be time to go to Sunday School and Church so am going to make only limited comments here today.

Jackie, we are not going to get another rollator, at least at this time, but just another walker to leave in the car.

Janet, a good idea to hold on to that medical equipment as at our ages one never knows when it might be needed.  Sounds like you will have your hands full editing the book as that is a long one.  It is bad when a school teacher cannot spell or punctuate.

Janice, glad to see you are feeling better.  That coughing problem has caught a lot of us this year and is miserable.

Lest I forget, I want to say a big THANK YOU to Judy for the link to "He's Alive!" by Don Francisco!  That's one of my all-time favorite songs!  And I got to see/hear him in concert many years ago, in Garden city.  Very memorable.

I would love to be able to go with you and your hubby to tap trees, or to get the syrup--how educational and fun that would be!  When I was in Alaska some years ago, a friend of the friend I was visiting took me dog sledding!
I enjoyed that so much, and painted a picture of it!

JANICE!!  I have been thinking of you and praying you were well.  I also have those eye problems, but am thankful that mine is still the dry, rather than the wet MD, so no shots required as yet.  I'm praying my sight lasts as long as I stay here in this body.  If I couldn't read, that would be an enormous change in my life!  Hugs to you, dear one! ((((( )))))

Larry, great idea, to use the remote way of helping your SIL with the computer!  That's how Curtis assists me sometimes, too.  You are so generous with your time and skills!

Carol, I did some cooking yesterday, too.  Well, yes, I do cook; just not all the time!  I made food to take to Hugoton for lunch for us and Diane and Jeff today, and while I was at it, some for John, and for a meal I need food for in a couple of days.  It sounds as if you will be heading back to Colorado soon; when your roof and ceiling repairs are finished.

I called and had John come out to pick up the food I prepared for him yesterday afternoon.  He is isolating himself in his apartment, which is not healthy for him.  I wish I could do something, but all I can do is make suggestions.  He has to want to make a life for himself, I can't do it for him. He usually always comes to church; otherwise just stays at home.  He knows we love him, but he's 59 years old, and has to help himself.

Jackie, I figured that was what had happened, re your birthday.  Sorry.  But please keep going to your MS events; you need to be around other people.

I'll probably check back this afternoon to see what's happening in here!

Happy Sunday before Easter...it's so lonesome around my house.  Dtr on her way to Oklahoma to look after her Gr-son for a few weeks while his mom goes to Washington state on a visit.  I hope it is a short visit!

I still have a lot of pain in back of neck (Degenerative Arthritis)...

I seldom drive myself anywhere I need to go, so I depend on her.  I only have the one dtr as my son died from a stroke several years ago, and he had no children.

My little Boston Terrior Jackie is my pet...she is a lot of company for me these days, but she can't talk!

Hi Everyone.  After a chilly and damp day yesterday we are in for a cloudy and cool day today getting up to only around 55 degrees.  We have only three things on our schedule for today.  Pat has a 10 am appointment at the hospital for the bone density test she had to cancel from last week.  Then we plan on eating at Honey on the Rock restaurant across the road from the country club where the Master's is played.  Finally I have the laptop computer boxed and in the care to send to Pat's sister today.  Hopefully she will have it by the end of the week.

I don't have time for individual comments this morning.  I may come back later today and read what was said yesterday and offer a few comments or I'll join you all tomorrow.

Larry Hanna...
...similar here really...I had my early annual dentist appointment, following on to a nearby RSPCA charity shop to hand over a bag of clothes to be donated, then on the way back we bypassed our turn and headed onto our local dairy where Richard picked up a bottle of milk, then on his suggestion we stayed inside, sat down for a cappuccino, where the only two other occupants were I thought an elderly mother and daughter, a tad near my age, or a tad younger, they weren't related but we held a lengthy conversation and found out the younger lady's father had connections from the areas we moved from...such a small world...

I have to laugh as the reason the elderly lady first spoke to me was she heard me telling Richard that he hardly makes any conversations at all, she then chimed in her hubby was the same...

I am now waiting patiently for metal man to come pay me a visit, this is done through social-welfare services as to whether I am still needing bars placed at the gate-concrete stepping from the back...told he will be planning on leaving 2.pm, and expecting a half hour journey, time now is almost 3.pm...

Good Day all -

Judy:  Thank you for the video of "He Lives".  How fortunate we are to have the technology to save and listen to this inspiring music.

Janice - you have two trips to Amarillo - I hope you have a lot of energy to make that happen and all the tests/treatments are successful.

Larry:  You can keep your sauerkraut -- thanks.  I have never been a fan.  How nice of you to work on the laptop and mail it off.

Janet:  You are doing very well in keeping busy and writing uplifting messages.  Good for you!

Janet

Janice!  How good to see your message!  I wish I could help you feel better; somehow take away the aches and pains, and cure both of us of the MD!  I hope your dear daughter returns soon.  Isn't it wonderful to have a daughter?  They are worth more than gold!

Jackie, nice you had a good outing and an unexpected nice conversation,
even learning you had some similar background!  I've never met a stranger;
I will talk to anyone!  My husband has become more outgoing since we married, but he still usually waits for me to sort of "pave the way" before he says much.

Carol thanks for the nice comment.  I am trying to stay positive and do what I feel God has assigned me to do, but some days I have trouble staying on track!  It feels good to get some deep cleaning done even though it is bit by bit.  Clutter seems to depress me these days; I function much better in a neat environment.  ;)  I don't think you have that problem (clutter.)

Larry, you're always so good about making individual comments, you surely do not need to feel bad about skipping it a day once in a while!  I hope you have a wonderful day!

I enjoyed lunch at Bear Creek Coffee with a friend, and came away with a new Zeal customer!  A double blessing for which to thank God!

Janice

Good noontime, everyone!  I just had lunch and it was good.  I get weekday lunches delivered from the Senior Center, and I really do appreciate it too.  Of course I pay for them, but to get delivered is a big plus.
Yes, my dtr Elaine is worth more than gold! She helps me so much, and volunteers for so many events. She is part of the New Mexico Baptists Disaster Relief team...her first volunteer trip was to New Orleans after the bad hurricane several years ago. And she has gone to Colorado 2 times, one was after a forest fire, and the other after a flood.  Her job is not to do that kind of cleanup, but to feed and do laundry for the men workers.  She took training last week for leadership in the Disaster Relief teams in our state. So, she is willing to help wherever.  She is a talented musician as well.  She began playing piano in her teens, at our little church at that time.  She is currently the organist at our big church.
Now that she is in Oklahoma for awhile, I will have to adjust somewhat, and let some things wait. So glad I have little Jackie to keep me company. Maybe I can
get the latest quilt top finished this week.  I have only two seams to make, and the top will be finished.

This is the day the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it.   Ps 118:24

Hi Everyone. I awoke about 3:30 this morning and couldn't go back to sleep so got up early this morning.  The only thing on the agenda for today is to attend our Prime Timer's Senior Luncheon at Church at 11:30.  We are to get to the mid-60's later this afternoon and little chance of rain.

Jackie, it seems like we can almost always come up with some clothes or other items to donate.  I need to go through my clothes again and donate what I am no longer wearing.  It sounds like your outing was enjoyable in that you were able to visit with some folks while having the cappuccino.  Yesterday while Pat was having her test there was just one lady in the waiting area with me and I struck up a conversation with her and she must have needed someone to talk with as she didn't stop until we had to leave.  I hope the metal man made it to your home and offers some more suggestions that will be helpful to you.

Carol, I didn't use to like sauerkraut but some of my tastes have changed over the years and I do enjoy it once in a while.  What we had was very mind.

Janet, I know it is hard to believe but I used to be very reserved and fairly quiet.  However, I guess I took after my mother and also never see a stranger.  I think we can enjoy a much happier life when we can stay positive as we can't depend on someone else to make us happy.  Maybe when you "get off track" during the day that is actually what God would rather you be doing.  I am like you in that I don't like clutter.  I try to keep my desk area neat and orderly and keep things where I know they should be or I can find them when needed.  Glad you got a new Zeal customer.

Janice, glad to see you are getting your weekday lunches from the Senior Center and that they are good.  It sounds like you have a very talented daughter and a very hard worker.

Carol

Good morning to all and good night to Jackie.  Nice to have a cappuccino and a chat.

I am smiling from all the comments.  I believe the majority of us like to chat with people - once, I was in a doctor's room waiting for an appointment - it was filled with one seat next to me open.  A woman caught my eye and walked right over to me to tell me that she had just been diagnosed with breast cancer.  So, of course we had a long conversation - I told her I would pray for her and we talked about family and so forth.  I truly believe she needed to vent - and I was the one chosen to listen to her that day.

Janet:  There is a Bear Creek Park just west of Littleton, CO.  Very nice that you had the coffee and friendly chat.  Are you a rep for the beverage?  I have seen it on the internet - sounds interesting. Clutter - I am not as organized as my mother and I really have a hard time giving away fabric scraps for some odd reason.  My worst problem must be with all the different charging cords we own.

Yesterday, I started doing the 1 1/2 mile walk that I need to keep up.  Having coffee with a friend, she mentioned the 104 year young woman in Chicago - my friend had sent fresh oranges to her and the woman replied with an email.  104 years old - using email.  I love it!  Positive attitude and a prayerful woman!

Janice:  There have been several severe floods - I wonder if your daughter worked in Fort Collins or the one near Manitou Springs. Blessings to your daughter for her much needed help.  It snowed today in Denver and that moisture was so needed.  The fire danger is sky high.  Probably so in your area as well.

I am smiling from reading all the nice posts this morning!

We've been to the gym, then we sat in the hot tub for 20 minutes, now we are all showered and dressed and ready for today's challenges!  And I'm pretty sure there will be some.

Janice, your daughter is a keeper, for sure!  Sounds like she has a loving and giving heart--just like her mother!  :)  Glad you get the meals delivered. We are going to the Senior center today for lunch--hamburger stew, should be pretty good.

It's pleasant here, so far today.  We had thick clouds earlier, not so many now, but still overcast.  We are still praying for rain!

Larry, I wasn't always as outgoing as I am now, either.  I was very self-conscious and thought I was fat and ugly.   :o  In just the past few years,
through journaling my prayers and what I feel I hear God answering me,
I have learned to believe what He says about me; not what others in my past said.  What a freeing thing this is!  What a loving, wonderful Father we have, and how he loves us!!

We saw the move "I Can Only Imagine" last Sunday afternoon.  If you get the opportunity, go see it!!  It is wonderful!  (I have a feeling I already told you this.  If so, sorry---but it IS!!)

Carol, I believe the Lord puts those in our paths, as he did with both Larry and you, who need a listening ear, and a word of encouragement.  And doesn't it feel good to know God is using you?

Two more prospects have promised to sign up for Zeal by the weekend! Yea!

Carol, no, I have nothing to do with Bear Creek Coffee.  That's just the name of the coffee shop that opened here about a year ago.  I love going there to meet a friend or friends for coffee or lunch.  Great Christian atmosphere, friendly service, and good food!  Bear Creek is the name of a creek which actually rises over in Colorado, and the only floods our town has ever experienced were when Bear Creek came down.  It rises in Colorado when they get rain in the right  (wrong?) places, and then it comes down to our area.  One of the largest 4-H Clubs here is named Bear Creek 4-H. And I'm sure that's way more than you wanted to know!

I have a real book to work on; I don't need to make this into one!  Sorry!

See you later!!

Yes I am still laughing over our conversation yesterday...I had gotten up to go to the loo, and on coming back and ready to leave I had said to Richard about his lack of conversation but had also said something about my rollator when up piped the older lady and said " yes, I had one of those " I wasn't sure if she was talking about my rollator or Richard so I smiled and answered, " one of what? " it was at that point she said, a hubby who never spoke, rarely ever had a conversation, I laughed and this broke the ice...It is only now I should have answered her with a " do you want another one..."  ;D

Jackie, why is it that those perfect come-backs always pop into our minds when it's too late to use them? :-\  :D ;D

Good news on the opticians front...no change, or very little change since the last time my eyes were tested, two and 3/4 years ago, just a few months after my MS diagnoses so, the nice Jewish lady said I dont need to update my reading glasses unless I want another pair but, as Richards parking time was almost up, and I was umming and arrhing over which frames, I gave up and we left, a few pound's better off in my purse, although the eye test is free once we become senior citizens...
Unlike Richard, I prefer the smaller Independently owned opticians, he prefers the (cheaper ) larger places that now do eye testings..

Hi Everyone.  We are to have a nice warm 82 degree day today but remain partly cloudy.  No rain is in the forecast.  We had a great time at the Prime Timer's Senior Luncheon yesterday.  One of the Methodist churches in Augusta has a seniors chorus.  There were about 30 members in attendance.  We were invited to sing along with them as they sang and they are all the old songs we had grown up with.  They do a secular and then a sacred segment.  We then had a delicious potato with ham soup, salad a biscuit and delicious dessert for our lunch.  In a few minutes I will take Pat down to the Church so she can attend the Gifts craft group.  I think this will be the first time this year she has attended.  I will go down and have coffee with the guys at the cafe and then after picking her up we will stop by Walmart to pick up the grocery order she placed yesterday.  Finally on the way home we will stop at a battery store to replace the battery in the new phone she recently got as it is not holding a charge.  Hopefully that will solve the problem and if not the phone will be returned.  We sure don't want to send it back as it is a perfect phone for seniors who don't want to use a smart phone.  I have already prepared our lunch sandwiches as know we both will be tired when we get back home.  I also grated a pound of cheese.  This evening we will be going to Diablo's with Scott, Jennifer, Elizabeth and perhaps one other.  They will then come out for the evening.

Carol, I keep asking Pat when she might start using the big pieces of fabric that she has a lot of rather than the scraps from other projects she has done.  It must be a quilters thing.

Janet, so glad your perspective on yourself has changed to a positive one.  I think it is what we are inside that counts and not the outer shell.  God doesn't make junk and we each are different and that is the way it is suppose to be.

Jackie, why is it we think of what we should have said in a conversation after the moment is over.  :) I see Janet and I were on the same wave link.  Nice you didn't need a new prescription an your eyes had very little change.

Lots of overhead noise here with roofers repairing the 3 spots under tile roof.  The two young men have been so considerate and caring of our old chairs outdoors, etc. - so brownies are baking in the oven for a treat just for them.

We are invited to friends - we are the only ones not related but the group always considers us - this is for Easter afternoon.

Larry:  Good to hear that Pat is considering going to the craft group - it means she is feeling better.  What is the name of Pat's new phone.  I don't care at all for the Smart Phone given to me.

Today, I am hopeful that the dr. appointment will help with my headaches - very likely from allergies.

Janet:  Sorry that you felt that way when you were younger.  You are a gift from God!!! Remember that.... I meant are you a rep for Zeal?
