Everyone - I will be upgrading the forum system again tomorrow to the latest version (which was released today). The upgrade will occur somewhere between 10am and 10:30am eastern time, and should take about 5-10 minutes. During this time, you will not be able to access the forum (unless you're an admin, and even then you won't have access to the forum part of the time), so please finish all posts before 10am or hold off until after I upgrade the forum. There is one notable new feature in this new version, and I will explain more about that tomorrow after the forum upgrade. As always, if you have any questions or problems, let me know.l

Forum has been upgraded. Let me know if you run into any problems.

This release fixes many bugs that were found in the previous version.

There is also one (noteable) new feature with this version - "Mark as Unread". This basically allows you to save your place when reading a topic and come back to it later without having to spend time figuring out where you left off. Clicking this button will mark every page from the current page through the end of the topic as "new", so when you click on the "new" image from the message index, you'll jump directly to the first post on the page where you were when you clicked the "Mark as Unread" button. This feature should be really useful to everyone, so enjoy it

Upgraded the forum again today... Not many changes this time other than bug fixes. You will notice the addition of a "jump-to-last-post" image right below the topic info on the message index (currently only in the default theme - I will add it to the classic theme if anyone wants me to). Clicking this will automatically take you to the last post in that topic. Enjoy!

Also, I would like to get everyone's opinion on a couple things:

1. Check out the theme at http://smf.oldiesmann.us/index.php?theme=24 and tell me what you think. I think it makes SMF a bit easier to read, and is also a lot faster because there aren't as many images to load... If everyone likes it, I can install it here...

2. What do you think of the smileys on that board?

Michael, we're inundated with odd symbols and letters since the upgrade.  We can edit but just wondering what is the cause of this?

Also, remember the scripture verse that our member from Minsk (Russian language)  has in his signature?  I think you added a special file for it to show.
