Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

Please feel free to either post here or drop me a PM (Private Message) if you think of anything that you might like to see added to our forums.

Or tell us what part of the Christian Photographers site you really like and enjoy and find a blessing to you.

As you come to Christian Photographers each day, do you ever say to yourself, "I wish that I could find xxxx on CP!" or "I'd like to see a section on...xxx"

Please feel free to post in here anything you'd like to see changed.

We don't promise to change it but we will at least consider it.

Pat what I would love to see but think would be impossible is an index to the topics that are discussed.

For instance sometime back I read something on a cult.  where was it what date do I look under.  Also there was the inquiry into the examples of the trinity....

I am sure others would like to find things too.

Thanks and Blessings

Pat

As far as that's concerned, you could try the Search feature.

The software doesn't have an index system that we could implement.

You could type in a word that you think might have been in the originating post in the search and it will bring up many posts.

Sorry but that's the best I can suggest for that.

But thanks!

I just clicked on "Search" above under the logo and typed in the word "Trinity" and got four pages of results.  That might be helpful to you.

How come there isn't a forum for just general chit chat type things?

Judy McKenna

Chevy Gal:

I think you will find the general "chit-chat" under NEM (New Every Morning).

This is where we meet, have a cup of cyber coffee, tea or whatever, and have the "chit chat"!.......see you over there.....

Yes, ChevyGal, Chit Chat takes place for 24 hours every day 7 days a week in New Every Morning.  That topic is started over every day at midnight and we start all over again.  You chat about just anything you want in there.  And we sing, we have little quizzes, we celebrate birthdays and anniversaries, and we learn where people are going on their vacations and we find our what new camera someone bought. (And we talk about car problems... :( )

So, please just come in and enjoy a cup of cybercoffee with us in there.

Here's the link for today's topic...  http://christianphotographers.com/community/index.php?topic=3025.0  But this changes every day so you have to find the one for today's date.

Today we have a photo in there that was from Kodak.com where one of our members won Photo of the Day today.

Here's a link to her photo in NEM...  CLICK HERE

Do you feel comfortable chatting in the NEM (New Every Morning)?  Is there something we could change about that?  We are all ears and they are wide open. :)

Obviously, I like the idea of going to NEM and knowing that virtually everyone who "checked in" will be there.

An area, though, where someone could ask questions and others could answer, where the question would be the title of the thread, or whatever, would be handy, I suppose.  There are SO many sections of the site that I simply NEVER visit already, I'm hesitant to suggest any more!
I survived open heart surgery.... :)

Wish I could think of something to suggest...LOL - but I can't...everything is covered that I can think of...

The best place to start my day is in New Every Morning....my day just isn't "over" 'til I visit NEM..., and also the Prayer and Praise forum.  I try to read the P&P just before going to bed; that way, the requests are fresh on my mind, and I remember to take them to the Lord before turning out the light!

I would love to see a thread on Photoshop, an Paint.  ;D

Hi Matt...

We'll try the new topics.  I've opened one for Adobe Photoshop and one for Paint Shop Pro.

Did we stop having photo challenges???
You might be a dog lover if:
You have more dog toys in your bed than people.

Pat

Just a little hiccup in our plans, Smokey.  We had one mod leave due to other life commitments and then one got busy with her life and so just the timing got hectic for some of us.  We'll have to re-start them.

thanks for the reminder!

I think it would be really cool to have a section where people can upload there pictures for people to use as desktop backgrounds. I have several that I could post.

Hi Pat,

May I suggest, we add two photo categories?
I would like to suggest:

1.PHOTOJOURNALISM (Newspaper quality and compelling shots that tell a story )
2.PHOTO ART ( Post processed images that look like an art rather than photographs)

Thanks Pat and may God bless you.

I like the idea of having a Photo Art category. It's almost as much fun to post process an image as it is to capture it with a camera. :D

JudyB

Pat I have had an idea as well.  Could we have a challenge and post the top 3 photos, of all the challenges and pick the top three of all the challenges?

Jeanne Lee

Judy, that sounds good, but we've completed 46 challenges!  That would mean 138 entries!     It might be manageable on an annual basis, though.  I think we have about 10 a year which would make 30 entries.  We might start out, for instance, with a contest for "The Best of 2009".
