Title: Well......I WAS going to post an update....
Post by: CapturedByGrace on November 22, 2011, 03:15:45 AM
Hi everyone,
Well, I was happy to be back to fellowship with this great bunch of people, but once again, I have run into the same problem.  I CAN'T upload/post image files from my own computer!  I click on attachments and other options below the message body, choose the images, and when I hit preview, it just shows blank boxes where the images should be.  When I tried to upload images to my gallery, I couldn't even get to the gallery.  I keep getting error messages that read, "you are not allowed to access this section."  Same thing happens when I try to get to my profile.
You know, this is one of the reasons why I haven't been posting here.   It is so not user friendly....either that, I am just dense.  I don't want to have to upload images into a gallery in order to upload in threads.   I found my previous post about this and was told that I CAN upload images directly from my computer, but I think there have been changes made since then.
I really do like this forum, but I don't see any point in continuing to participate if I can't post images.  With it, after all being a "christian photographers" forum, it would be nice to be able to post an image.
I apologize for sounding frustrated, but I would be lying if I said I am not.  Are there just some current glitches with the site that I am unaware of?  I have been away for a while.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Blessings,
Kelly

Kelly, first of all, I have found that "Preview" usually does not show attached images.  I think if you click on "Post" instead of using "Preview" you'll see that your photo is there.

The problem of access to the gallery has been widespread and Oldiesmann has been or still is working on it.  You can see about this problem here:  http://www.christianphotographers.com/community/index.php?topic=12028.0

I'm so sorry you, quite understandably, feel frustrated, and I do hope you'll continue to come here and post your pictures.  When you run into problems, please feel free to post a message or to contact me or Pat directly.

Yes, glitches do appear from time to time and we try to get them corrected as soon as possible.  But remember - it's computers we're dealing with!   ;D
