Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

Herons are fascinating birds to see in flight...

This picture of the Heron was taken in Lancashire.

I was told the  grey heron population has reached about 750 in Lancashire.

It will expand if clicked on to a larger picture.

Well, we may have lost our Concorde up in our sky's but, this is the closest we can ever get now...such a gracious looking bird when in flight...

It is from the same family as Egrets and Bitterns

This is a Purple Heron, usually found in Africa, Asia and sometimes in Europe

If you look below the Heron you will see a Penguin!

Not sure how I attached two images!

Jacqueline

Ahh yes I see it...I know a lady who just simply loves Penguins, she has been hospitalised for most part of this year, not on our forum but our sister forum... most of our forum members know who I am referring to...this photo would have sure cheered her up...So now, every time I see a penguin I am thinking of her and imagine seeing a smile on her face.....

Rather, a Heron in the morning.   It is a great blue heron.

We have night herons in Texas,

but no "morning herons" as such.

This photo of a Grey Heron was taken in Lee Valley Park in the United Kingdom.

Jacqueline

Think the last Heron I spotted was at the Rickmansworth Aquadrome UK...if I remember around one of the many lakes that lead off from the main lake, they had a Heron look-out cabin...

One of the best places to see grey herons is on Northward Hill, which overlooks the Thames Marshes in the United Kingdom.

I was informed there are over 100 pairs of grey herons roosting in the trees on the RSPB reserve on Northward Hill.

By the way, the RSPB is the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds
