Trust me it is, There are horses, and other animals. Our dad won at least one prize for his honey at the fair.
Up until we stopped showing honey, I know of 4 years that Dad won 6th prize for his honey. It was fun getting it ready for the fair.

Got to tell you then... The "Royal" was started way back in 1922 and it was planned that each year a member of the Royal Family would be present at the opening ceremonies. Not sure if this is still done or not but it is the biggest agricultural fair in the world still.

My favourite seasons are late spring and summer, I dislike autumn as it is the forrunner to winter. I really do not like winter.

Untill I lived in Northern Ireland, I had never heard of "First Footing" (what Judy is calling "First Stepping")
The first person who comes to visit you in the new year brings a piece of coal all wrapped up and it means that you'll have a lovely heated home during the coming year! It was fun to be "First Footed" just at midnight or shortly after on New Year's Eve.
(Judy, there are many wonderful Christians who don't celebrate Christmas. K4J is one of them. Jack's family never celebrated Christmas over in Ireland either.)
