Description: "Joist A Little Timeworn" was captured on an impromptu stop at the Heritage State Park in Fall River. It was cloudy, diffused light, but a warm spring day after the cold New England winter. My husband graciously sat on a park bench reading, allowing me to meander about, camera in hand. I perched myself by the water's edge wondering about the rich shipping heritage in the area. I imagined the variety of men working the docks, each bringing their country's heritage to their toil. It was then that I glanced down and saw this timeworn joist precariously discarded amongst the boulders. The detail of these photographs takes me back to that day... Breathing in the still cool salty air and running my hand across the beams and feeling the warm, rough grain of the wood and the cold, pitted rusted metal. Joist A Little Timeworn I & II are printed on a black edged, wood mount with a high gloss finish
