On Tuesday, July 30, Ruth Gray and I drove to Paris, ON to enjoy a shopping expedition to the Canadian Mary Maxim Knitting and Craft Store.
We had lunch at the Swiss Chalet in Guelph before heading to Paris and then after our fantastic afternoon, we drove back to Guelph and guess where we had supper!!!!! Swiss Chalet again! Yummy!!!

After our time in the store, we went to the local Tim Horton's and enjoyed a coffee, a donut and more chat!

Pat, it looks as if you and Ruth had a lovely time! I wish I could have joined you, even though I do not knit! I sure can eat a doughnut and drink a coffee, though! ::)
Thanks Janet!
Mary Maxim is more than a knitting store. It has art supplies too and all kinds of quilting things, cross stitching, jewellery making equipment, etc. It's just a fantastic store.
Now you did it! You perked my appetite and I'm going to have to find something yummy to eat before I go to bed! ;D
Looks like you two had a really great day.
I wish I could have joined you! I am glad you had a good time, I am going to have to try out that donut!

Maybe the next time you come down, Judy, we could plan a trip to Paris with Ruth.
The donut I seemed to remember was a new one and for a "seasonal" time or something. Maybe just for a month or two. It was fantastic. I think it was "Cherry Streusal Cheesecake" or something like that.
Wonderful photos! And, that last one is a good one to make our mouths water, too. Wish I had been with y'all. I finished my last "chicken scratch" embroidery recently, and have been "up to my ears" in other things. :)
Hopefully within the next few days (or is it "daze"!) I'll be able to settle in with some more handiwork. I'm not even gonna confess how long I've been working on one pair of pillowcases. :-X
Keep those pix coming, friends 'n' neighbors!

at Mary Maxim I had purchased 2 denim ball of yarn to knit a cardigan after getting home Pat suggested I add a scarf and toque after some thought I phoned in an order for the extra ball needed.
would it be possible for you to put the picture of myself in my profile?
Working on it, Ruth. I've missed something somewhere. But I'll get it!!!
Glad you are doing that Ruth, That is a beautiful picture of you.
I still can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. I've done this successfully dozens of times and yet this time I'm missing something and can't get the picture to show. GRRRRR!
Yea for Jeanne! You got it! And a lovely photo it is, too.
Janet, I never did get it figured out. Judy called and offered to give it a try - and within minutes she had the picture posted. So it's "Yea for Judy", not Jeanne. The Lord is working on my pride again! ;)
Okay, then....Yea for Judy!!
;D It just "fell" into place for me....I have struggled with my avitar many times!
The struggle is what keeps the same photo of me online well after the date it was taken. The "real" me is older, much larger, etc. :-[

By the way, Ruth, I don't know the individuals you mentioned in your post. Possibly it was someone other than me about whom you were thinking.
Ruth Ann, are you speaking of "Mary Maxim"? That's a huge wool and craft store. Photo of it in the first post above.
