Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

The thought came to me how to reflect Christ in our pictures. How does God see things through the lens? What are your thoughts on this.
Pro 3:5  Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding;
think about Him in all your ways, and He will guide you on the right paths.  Don't consider yourself to be wise; fear the LORD and turn away from evil.

I think Phil.4 : 8  is how we should look at all of life.

Whatsoever things are;
true,
noble,
just,
pure,
lovely,
good report,
if there is any virtue and praise— think on these things.

That last phrase could read "Photograph" these things.  As we keep control of our minds and keep our thoughts in line with scripture, we will see the good to photo.

I like that. One of the things that i'm going through now after reading Austin Sparks work " Christ our All" http://www.austin-sparks.net/english/books/christ_our_all_1935.html

is that you surrender over your will to Him In all things therefore He has the preemmenence in your life. When the mind gets in the way of the spirit then you have conflict. What He is showing me is You give Him your full self. Even your thought will and emotions. Just as Christ did nothing without the Fathers knowing so we are to lean on Him as well.
TRY IT you'll be surprised your life will change. That book which is 10 ch can help you out. Austin can take the word and make it alive to you which is what a prophet should do. David

Exactly my thoughts!   Photography is a great tool to use to capture and celebrate the good things in life, particularly the wonders that God has created all around us.

This is quite an easy question to answer because before shooting a client I pray for god to guide my hands during my sessions.I believe because of god I am able to get the great shots and had become as successful in my career as I have become.

All, very noble thoughts.
I suppose, without light, there would be no photography.
A recovering sinner,

God does not see through the lens. He sees through the eyes of the photographer who sees through the lens.
But then again, not all photographers invite God to see through their eyes. Many are called but only few will heed the call.
"Happy are those who see the beauty of God's creations, but blessed are those who photograph God's handiwork to glorify His name."
