I've just been wondering what you carry with you when you go out to take photographs?

"Click for Waterloo Wellington, Ontario Forecast"

Marilyn

Well Pat since you asked. i just put my camera in my purse andleave it there incase I run into a photo op. I also have extra batteries. I am planning to get a bigger camer bag, the one I have now only holds the camera. I want one that I can put  my little tripod in and I am going to buy  a big tripon that goes to 52 inches, however it folds down to 20 inches and has it's own case. But i do want to just put my wallet and cell phone in the camera bag and only carry that. TMI.

I have been carrying my camera in my purse, with extra batteries.  Also plan to buy a bag to carry things....lately, have only been taking pictures in the garden.  Have to expand my horizon's, eh???
CHANGE NOT THY FAITH WITH CHANGING TIMES

karmat

Hmm, let's see . . .

my camera
my telephoto lens
a cord for something (USB, maybe? maybe a charger)
batteries for something other than my camera (I dunno how they got there)
Circular Polarizer
Neutral Density filter
Lens wipes thingys
Business cards
Extra memory stick(s)
Extra battery (If Nards isn't using it)
A couple of dollars

And on occasion, a sippy cup, diaper, and diaper wipes. :-)

uiba

Hmmm ...
- a couple pins that I like
- a couple toonies and loonies for emergencies
- extra batteries
- telephoto lens
- lens cleaning fluid, a soft cloth, and a blow-brush thingy
- polarizer filter
- little plastic bottle with aspirins, a bit of duck tape (sp?), two or so bandaids (when my little girl falls down bandaids do miracles)
- a pen (no paper though - weird)
- extra CF card
- my cell-phone
- I strap my small tripod to the outside (the larger one I have to carry, so I often will "forget" it, he, he)

That's about it!

Now I'm wondering, why are you wondering?  And ... what do you carry in your bag, Pat?

Well, that was interesting reading...

I have my little itsy bitsy tripod that I bought at the 5 and 10 cent store

My lense tissues

My camera  ::)

My 2X teleconverter

I carry the little book that came with the camera

Extra batteries--I have a charger in my car so I don't carry the charger with me

I got an 8 mg card with the camera, then bought a couple more so I carry them all with me

I have a $5. bill in one of the little zipper containers in case of emergencies

I have some paper and pencil and pen.  So often I've met someone and wanted to tell them about Christian Photographers so I have paper and pen to do this.  Think I'm going to get some cards printed or at least print some myself with the URL on

I always take my cell phone as well.

I have several little Gospel of John booklets and some tracts that Jack wrote tucked in there as well.  You never know when you can give some of them away.

I think that's all.

"Click for Waterloo Wellington, Ontario Forecast"

Marilyn

I have ordered my new camera bag, bigger tripod and neckstrap. But y-all have given me a few more ideas of thigs I should carry in my bag; the little Gospel of John tracts, pen and paper, and lens cleaning tissues. My camera has built in 10X telephoto that really brings things up close and personal. Can't put extral lens's on it.

Maybe we could talk about what a good bag is.

As we buy our new cameras, we are investing good $$$ into this equipment and it HAS to be protected.

Some bags are so thin and soft that there's no protection from bumping, etc.

I bought a bag made by Lowepro and it even has a raincoat for the bag attached to it.

There are many sections in it for the various little things I carry and also the sections can be adjusted as they have velcro at the ends of the hard sections and attach to the wall of the bag.

I have an extra section as I alway carry a small Canon Elph camera that takes little cassettes just in case I have a battery failure or some other failure while I'm out and at least I can still capture my image on film to scan later.

Right now I don't have a camera bag for my latest camera but I always carry my camera and have tripod in back of car if I'm going for very long I carry a extra memory stick.

in my "camera bag" which is really my backpack i have my cameras (2 digital and 1 35mm i think) my wallet with all my info in it, my books usually school books/ reading books, my bible, my cell phone, my cd's, my cd player, some form of gum, pens, paper, probably some trash, charger for phone, batteries for cameras and cd player, adapters for cd player, some form of candy (even though its bad for me) and other things i can't think of at this point.

Hello, kmcn,

Come to New Every Morning and introduce yourself and so we can get to know you and you get to know us.

First of all, my bag is an old bag that I bought on ebay that is very durable and holds lots of gear. I wanted an old looking bag so it would be less likely to be stolen. I don't know if it is technically water-proof, but I did spill a whole cup of coffee on it and nothing got through...plus that adds to the "not worth stealing" look.

Canon EOS 10S body

Canon EF 35-135mm lens

Sigma EX 20mm lens

polarizing lens for 20mm

polarizing, enhancing, warming, and UV filters for 35-135mm (one of these days I am going to switch to the drop-in filters with an adapter for each lens so I don't have to buy separate filter for each lens)

flash

spirit level

spare batteries

camera manual

lens cloth

small flashlight for reading lcd screen (for example, at night when shooting fireworks. I bought one after this past July 4th when I had to use the light on my watch and straining my eyes)

pen, tiny notepad

I always take my tripod with me. An economic Velbon that I bought at a garage sale for $20. A good tripod will probably be my next investment; this one shakes if I breathe too hard.

May I add to this discussion? :) I don't even have a camera YET...but when I do., it will be of the softest, most pliable leather i can find. :D

I just got a bag for my new camera.  So far, all I have to put in it are the camera and the extra memory cards, plus extra batteries.  I can't carry heavy items, or my shoulders or back starts hurting, so I like to keep weight to a minimum.  This bag came with a wrist strap, shoulder strap and a loop I can slip the strap of my fanny pack through, so I think it will work pretty well.  It is padded; I was concerned about the camera getting scratched up.  Not much extra room in it at all.  If I had a cell phone, it wouldn't fit in there!

But Pat reminded me that I do have another bag that I got with my Pentax SLR camera, that has more room and lots of velcro things, so if I wanted, I could use that one.  It's quite a lot bigger.

I've had so many ideas of things that I should put in my camera bag from this discussion.  ;D

I never thought of makeup, Judy!  But you've proved that it's a good thing, Daniel! HAHAHAHA!!  (Are those your real teeth or are they a false set that covers your teeth like the sports guys wear to protect themselves???)

Darryl Cox

For general protection I carry a canvas and fairly large camera bag that holds all my hardware.

In the bag are the following items:
Sony Cybershot dsc-f828 - Primary camera
Sony Cybershot dsc-f717 - Backup Camera
Four Sony Batteries
Two gigabytes of memory cards
Mindstore Image Bank
Polarizing Filter
Lens/Filter cleaning cloth
Olympus B300 1.7X Teleconverter
Olympus 0.7X Wide Angel Conversion Lens
A small external strobe light.
Camera Manual
Small Note Pad and pen

THEN: When out mamking photographs I put what I think I will need, for the day, in a Domke Photographers Vest and leave the bags in the car. Fifty years of carrying two or three heavy film camera gear on my shoulders and neck has resulted in spinal problems and the vest distributes the load and avoids headaches at the end of the day.

Mark

I generally take everything with me...then leave most of it in the car.  My current bag is a camera backpack.  Well padded and roomy.  I like it!  Righ tnow my bag has:
- my cameras (Pentax film and Sony digital)
- lenses for the Pentax
- memory cards
- batteries
- pen
- lense cleaners
- filters (UV, polarizer, etc)
- lense hood
- film
- manuals for everything
- off-camera flash
- and my tripod when I tie it on

I'll usually haul everything with me in the car and when I get to where I'm shooting, I'll take the essentials and leave the rest in the car.  If the car is going to be too far, I'll just put on the backpack and bring it all with me.

I'm getting some good ideas here for my trip.  I have Darrel's dad's camera bag, and it will hold quite a bit of stuff.  Pen and pad are great ideas---I will also tuck in business cards, easy to give my name and address to new friends that way, also good identification for the bag.

Wow, what an incredibile bag of camera parts.  I can see that your professional wedding photo's must take lots of work & knowing what to use @ the right time, to bring out the right effect, etc.......

I've learned a bit of photography from my husband, who learned how to do it be experience as a young child who loved to take pictures & learned from his mistakes.

I suppose the monkey is there to keep ya laughing?  I used to have a monkey like that when I was growing up.  I believe we called it Joey, or something.  It's been so long, I'm not sure if I remember the name.

Wow, David!  I am looking at a camera bag for xmas.  Maybe hubby will surprise me with one.  I sure am need of one.

Pat

I decided that I'm going to have some cards made up with the URL of Christian Photographers on it along with my email address.  I've had so many folks ask me for the URL when I'm out shooting and I'm using up all the sheets of paper on my notepad writing it out.  LOL

So, new cards for me to go in my camera bag.

David, that's a super bag.  I have a Lowepro that fits into my backpack so everything is well padded and safe.  I carry three cameras with me wherever I go so I need my Lowepro.

I always take along my old coolpix 950 as I'm always sure that I'll be happy with the macro shots I take with it.

Since I'm still not comfortable with my 8700, I'm learning with it out there.

And in case the batteries fail, I have a small Canon Elph that takes Advantage.  It's small.

Well, if all my photo taking was being done within walking distance of the car, I'd not have all these in my bag but with hiking several miles from the car, I feel I need to.  My back pack is quite comfortable too.  I hang my two 1 1/2 liter water containers off it on the outside (one is for the dog) and my cameras are in the main compartment.  The bag was actually built to hold a laptop computer (which I've never carried in it!)  So it's quite a handy one.

Something I want to know more about are tripods versus monopods.

I have two large tripods and they are so bothersome to me and a little one that is only about 7 inches high.  I take that one with me everywhere but I really dislike the tripods.  Someone has highly recommended a monopod and I want to know more about this as I don't have one.

I also use ziplock bags filled with bird seed for mini tripods to place on a rock.  i can use the bird seed to tantalize squirrels and birds...and then take a photo of them!  LOL

"Click for Waterloo Wellington, Ontario Forecast"

thedimlers

Pat,  I have used a monopod.  It is made by Leki.  It is a hiking staff with a removeable ball on the top.  Underneath the ball is a handy threaded post that conveniently screws into the bottom of a camera.  ;D
If you do any day-hiking, it is worth trying it out.  I have done a bit of backpacking (a week at a time) with my camera gear and somehow I still manage to take the tripod. sigh.  One of these days I will shave that weight but until I figure out how, a carrying I will go.

Pat

Wow!  That sounds great.  I always take a hiking stick with me that I bought in Wales but are you saying that this would take the place of my hiking stick?

No more week at a time hikes for me.  Used to do that but no more for me.  Just day trips.  LOL

So, tell us...  What else is in your camera bag?

Brothers and Sisters,

I'm getting a new scanner, and I've talked my wife into getting a good camera at the same time. Neither one of us are photographers, just professional grandparents. I do have a good computer with a camera port on it that I have no idea how to use. BUT, that's OK since I don't have a camera for it anyway.   :D

I'm thinking about getting a camera for beginners that takes good pictures, and I understand there might be some pretty good cameras that would work with my computer. Does anyone have any recommendations? With just a little bit of help, I promise some pictures of my grandchildren and some local scenery. We want nice pictures, but we really need something simple enough to learn how to use it by using it. If I had it several weeks ago, I would have been able to send you a picture of a pasture with buffalo and their calves. It might have even been in focus.   :D

Any suggestions for beginners?

Love In Christ,
Tom

1 Corinthians 2:9  But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

Pat

Hi Tom...

Our first digital camera was the Nikon Coolpix 950 which isn't made now but I'm so happy that we spent a bit more to get a quality one.  Actually it was a gift to Jack for retirement from his work mates.

Look for one with about 4 megapixels minimum.  HP make some good ones as do several other companies.  I'm shocked sometimes when I see how the price goes down so quickly.  I bought my new camera in June and already it's $400.00 less than I paid for it!

Do you have a good camera store in your city/town?  I'd go to a reputable store and tell them that you're a beginner and wanting to start taking good photos of scenery and those wonderful grandchildren.  I'd go to one of these stores rather than Staples or Future Shop as usually the folks are really knowledgeable at least that's how it is up here.

"Click for Waterloo Wellington, Ontario Forecast"

OK Tom

Thanks Sister Pat, I appreciate the information.

I'm reading the manual for my computer now and trying to figure out the various types of cards from cameras that it takes. I have four card slots, and I'm hoping that at least one of them will work so that I can almost automatically download pictures to the computer and share pictures with family by email. I'll share them with CP also. I do have some pre-installed software on my new computer that does photo editing, so I have a lot to learn.

We do have a couple of camera shops, so I guess the first thing to do would be getting a list of the cards my computer supports and go from there. I have asked questions at Staples and elsewhere, so I know now why I should go to a camera shop. Thanks for the help.

Love In Christ,

Tom,

We have a Cannon Powershot S30.  One with 4 mega pixel's is best, but we wanted something good, but we didn't want to have to pay too much more for it.

It's basic enough.  Ya even need a PHD for it = Push Here Dummy!!  LOL

Just as my husband taught me the basic's of it, most any child can show you how things work's, for we are in a computer tech., world.

My husband while growing up learned by experience, how to use camera's to get the right effect.  His interest, got my interest in photography.  Besides the fact that we used to make some funny poses.

I'd really like to get a scanner, so that I can scan some of my honeymoon pic's.  We have pictures that we took to give the ellusion that we were midgets under the Palm tree's, etc.......

Well, a little update to mine  ;D:

- Nikon D70 w/ 18-70 and SB800 flash.

I don't have to much room in my Lowepro Linx 320 anymore for both my cameras so I'm going to have my mom make a "custom" foam insert for my school backpack. Makes it a little more inconspicuous too.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

OK Tom,

I'd suggest one with 4 MP like Kreative said. I think 4 MP is the sweet spot for digital cameras. I'd suggest one of the following:

Canon Powershot A80 (being replaced by the A85 and A95, so you might be able to find it on some rebates)
Olympus C750
Sony V1 (being replaced by the Sony V3, so you might also be able to find some rebates on it also)

If you are looking for rebates, look here: www.bensbargains.net. All of the cameras listed above are under 400 bucks and are great cameras. A few more tips: -forget digital zoom, it's worthless, and is just a ploy to get people to spend more - go and try out each one if you can, ergonomics are more important than you think. I was looking at the Panasonic FZ10 at Circuit City the other day and I was astounded at where they placed the shutter button. One would think they would place it where the trigger finger would relax (on the little protruding portion of the camera body) but instead it was way off to the side making it uncomfortable to press the shutter button. - Finally, research the camera at www.dpreview.com and www.stevesdigicams.com. You should also ask owners what they think of the camera. Steve's Digicams has a great forum to ask questions.

Good luck!

Pat

I have to admit I never thought I'd be buying Nikon. I was pretty much settled on Canon until I had a whim to try the D70 just to see what all the hype about it was. I was quite impressed. Solid build (for a prosumer/consumer digitalSLR, not a solid as the D2H or 1D/1DMk2, but still better than the 300D), responsiveness, and image quality were amazing. There were some reports about backfocusing and moire, but I took some test shots down at Best Buy and I didn't see any. You ought to look into it for your next camera!!

OK Tom

Kreative4Jesus,

Thank you so much for the advice. I'm collecting information right now and will probably try to catch one of the after Christmas sales. I share the "not having a lot of money problem", but I want as good a camera as I can afford.

I was just thinking about the humor in your post and reflecting - Christians should be the happiest people on earth. It's a shame that I don't already have a good camera. I'm going to my grandson's 4th birthday party tomorrow. I always ask my daughter to make sure there is chocolate cake and ice cream. I'll take some pictures with what I have - if I can find the poor old camera and it works. All of the kids with cake and ice cream all over them is a riot.

Hello CheckSix,

Thank you so much for the information and the links. Under $400 is almost a must for me. I know that many people have thousands of dollars invested in their camera equipment, but I just want to be a decent amateur and take some pretty nice family and nature shots.

I really appreciate the links since I do need to read some reviews and look at functions and features. I'll be happy just to get the subject matter framed correctly and clear, so I won't be competing with any of the pros here.   :D

I did think about getting a camera that would accept add-ons later, as I can afford them.  Or, maybe I can get one that has most of everything I want in the first purchase. I do want a decent zoom feature to take pictures of the grandchildren. I was just thinking of some hilarious pictures I could have taken, but didn't. Little ones do so many precious and funny things without any prompting at all.

Love in Christ,
Tom

Philippians 4:13  I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

CheckSix

OK Tom,

The Oly C-750 would be the best bet zoom wise. It has 10x optical zoom (I think it's 38-380mm equiv). That is a lot of zoom for your money. It has 3.2 MP so you can print decent 8 x 10s if you wanted to. When printing 4x6, you can hardly tell the difference between a 3, 4, 5, and 6 or greater MP camera. When you start printing bigger, then the difference can be seen. But, unless you're printing greater than 8 x 10, 3.2 will be enough.

Good luck!

I found a pretty good deal and bought a canon Power Shot S410 Elph.  I took pictures today at my grandson's 4th birthday party without reading the instructions.   ;D  I know that's probably a big mistake, but the man who helped me said all I had to do is put everything on auto, frame the shot on the LCD screen and take the pictures. They look pretty good on the LCD screen, but they may look like pictures done by the 3 Stooges after the computer program that came with the camera finishes them.

I asked my daughter for chocolate cake and ice cream so the pictures would have class.   :D  She only managed vanilla, but I hope that I at least got some good ice cream dripping pictures. If any of them turn out good, I'll share them with you.

Love In Christ,
Tom

HAHAHA!  Tom, you're funny!

Now, we'd like to see them as soon as possible so if you have any trouble figuring our how to resize them, etc. send them to me as an attachment and I'll post them for you.

If you can resize them to 500 pixels on their longest side and 35K, just open up a topic in this section and post them.  We're all holding our breath!  LOL

Hi Nate!

Great to see you posting here.

Yes, I know what you mean about being slow to go digital.  I never thought I'd ever need to go digital as I originally thought it was only in order for me to show photos on the net!  LOL

I sure have changed my mind now though.  My poor old FR1 hardly gets used.

I was coming here to say that I have a new bag!

I saw a deal I couldn't refuse.  It's the Lowepro Orion Trekker and I really like it for walking.

Ah, just to be able to put my camera in a backpack and go...my camera gear entirely fills a good-sized backback and then some!

I probably ought to be committed to an institution for this, but I've been delving into large-format photography in the past few years.  Think of the old-timey photographers, black cloth over their heads as they peer into a bellows camera set on a tripod.  I use a 4x5 format, meaning that the individual negatives are 4 inches by 5 inches, so the camera has to be correspondingly large to deal with it.

The main compartment of my camera bag includes the camera body (front and rear standards connected by a flexible bellows); the foot-long metal rail on which the camera rests, complete with a base which attaches to the tripod head; two lenses (a 150mm "standard" lens and a 90mm wide angle lens); a light meter; and a series of foam inserts to keep everything in place, which my wife designed.  In the side compartments I keep a bunch of film holders (each film holder keeps two sheets of film) and a Poloroid film holder.  In the bottom compartment, I keep extra boxes of sheet film, a box of Poloroid film, my black cloth, and a film changing bag.  In a little interior compartment I keep a loupe (it helps for fine focusing), a cable release for the shutter, a compass, thumb tacks, a pencil and a notepad, and a line level (to make sure that all the parts of the camera are level on the tripod).

Then there's the tripod--it has to be very stable with a head that can move in pretty much any direction, so it weighs about 20 pounds or so.

Whew!  Mobility and spontaneity are not some of the principal features of large-format photography!

God bless,
Sam

Oh, BTW--what's in my bag.

I have my camera bag which fits the camera, film, pad and pencil (it seems when on vacation I rarely remember each photo--so I'll jot a little note about it next to the number, then put it in the film case when I swithc rolls).  When I go nature hiking or walking I plan on taking along my fanny pack with the tini-tripod I just ordered inside and then a back pack for all my hiking essentials.  ;D

I've gone and lost the part of my tripod that I screw onto the bottom of my camera and it snaps into the tripod.  :o(

I sure hope I can get another one.

I am going to be feeling up my camera bag next week when my new lenses come in.

Well I have never used an official "camera bag"
I just use a cheap old backpack. I carry some 3x5 cards for notes, a pen a polorizing filter and some clip on sunglasses in my front pocket along with a cable release for long exposure shots, and a swiss army knife for who knows what. and a set of jewler's screwdrivers for tightening screws on my camera (and glasses too!).
Inside I carry my camera, an old Fujica ST801 which was the replacement for my Pentax Spotmatic II and a bunch of screw mount lenses and my tripod. (yes I said screw mount lenses!) I purcaced several when I was using my Spotmatic II. I also carry a wide brimmed hat since I am now follicly challenged

Camera bag - have 3, a big one that stays at home empty unless I am on vaccation and

1 bag for my camera, batteries and CF cards
1 bag for table top tripod another CF card

my large tripod is always in the car (my camera is 90% of the time with me).....

I wanted to update mine, since I have a new camera. My wonderful, lovely wife let me use our tax return to buy a Canon EOS 20D digital SLR! This camera is amazing. The best part is, I can take 5 pictures a day or 500, and no cost for processing (other than a little money for CDs to burn the ones I want to keep. Even though I have a large hard drive, those large image files add up fast). I only have to spend money when I want to print something. This has really freed me up creatively...I don't have to limit the number of pictures I take based on whether that shot will be a "waste of film".
My bag is a 25-30 year-old bag I bought off ebay from someone who claims he was a photojournalist who took the bag all over the mideast for 20 years. It seems more ruggedly built than any of the bags I have seen online or in stores. I wouldn't trade it.
Trust in God, and He shall bring it to pass.

I carry too much, I'm sure!  All my stuff is generally in my ProMaster backpack.

Pentax 35MM SLR, 2 lenses, flash, handfull of filters and a lense hood, film, manuals for everything, lense cleaner cloth and blower-brush thingy, pen, batteries for everything.

My Sony digital fits in a tiny bag with extra memory and batteries and that bag fits in my backpack.

I also have the bag that came with my Pentax, but all that fits in it is the camera and a short lense so I don't use it.

I also have a LowePro bag that's bigger than the Pentax bag so I can carry some junk but not everything.

The silly thing is, unless I'll be a long ways from my car, I usually stuff the essentials in pockets and leave the backpack in the car.  :o

My bag is geared towards speed really so it's a medium size canvas bag (fits a NIV Study Bible with cover snugly).

I usually have my 20D w/ 17-85mm IS USM shoulder slung and ready to shoot so really all I have in the bag is:

70-300mm lens
420ex Speedlite Flash w/ Omni-Bounce
Dust blower
Lens cleaner + tissue
1 GB Sandisk Extreme (I carry a 2 GB Lexar Pro in the camera)
2nd Battery for 20D
2 sets of rechargable AA's for the Flash
Sharpie + Note Cards

Lighter the better I say!

I have my macro lense, a spare battery, a spare 2 gig memory card and the cords for downloading to my laptop, all safely tucked away in my camera bag! :) Not much compared to many of you, but it's enough for now. I probably should include the instruction booklet too!  ;D

I'm always consulting my instruction book so I'm happy to have that with me.

I've just added something else to my camera bag.  Today I bought a pair of thinsolite mitts but the top of the mitts fold over exposing your fingers all tucked in "glove" compartments.  I get such cold hands in our winter and so I thought these would be good when out with my camera.

Okay, I don't know if anyone will read this, but I can't resist sharing what's in my bag(s). I guess I should preface this by saying that, yes, I am a pro.

Mamyia AF Zoom ULD 105-210mm f/4.5
    (2) 120-220 film backs
Maha battery charger, and 16-AA Powerex 2500mAh rechargable batteries

Bag (Case) #3: Pelican 1610 Hard Case w/Rollers
Sinar P2 4x5 large format camera
    (3) bellows
    Dark Cloth
    (12) lenses: 47mm, 58mm, 65mm, 75mm, 90mm, 105mm, 120mm, 135mm, 150mm, 180mm, 210mm, 300mm.
Canned air, gloves, cable release, lens papers

I also have two other cases I carry for each of the latter two set ups. I carry one accessory bag with filters, meters, cables, grey cards, and pocket wizards. In the other I carry my Phase One P25 digital back with accessories for that. I also carry an Apple 15" powerbook laptop in its own case.

For India, I use a LowePro CompuTrekker Plus backpack. I carry all the Nikon equipment along with the laptop. It has plenty of room for water, appropriate medicine, and the usual stuff you need to carry in India.

FYI, I also carry 10-12 cases of lighting, stands, and grip kits.

I wouldn't trade what I do for just about anything.

I do have this advice for y'all. Be careful enjoying photography too much, it can get very expensive. ;D

Yep, I'm still at it. Still dragging around those bags. Got out of bed this morning at 3:30 to get ready for a (cold) sunrise shot.

I have a quick question for you.

How many members are there in the Denver area? The reason I ask~ I am part of a very special art show opening here on the 16th. If there are more members here, I'd like to post an invitation somewhere on this site.

The show consists of Artwork brought to the US from India. The artwork is all by Dalits (Untouchables) and Tribals. The show is being arranged by myself, The Dalit Freedom Network, The North East India Project, and another photographer, named Jason Powers. Jason and I will be showing our photography of India in an adjoining gallery. DFN & NEIP are both faith based organizations. Jason is also one of the founders of NEIP.

As far as we can gather, this is the first show of its kind in the US. It is also a great opportunity to see some great art.

Do you think there are any members in the Denver area that may be interested in seeing it?

Thanks!

~Vic~
