Title: How to Resize Photos with ShrinkPictures
Post by: Jeanne Lee on April 09, 2009, 08:28:56 PM

ShrinkPictures

If you have only one photograph to resize, ShrinkPictures is an excellent choice.

Although you are limited to one picture at a time, this site is very easy to use and will reduce the picture to a desired size while reducing the file size as well.

1.  Open the ShrinkPictures site.

2.  Browse on your computer to find the photo you wish to prepare for posting.

3.  Click on the button for 600 pixels or the button for Custom and enter a number up to 640 pixels.

4.  Click on the button for "Good" quality.  Do not click on "Better" or "Best" as these will not reduce the file size sufficiently.

5.  Click on the red "Resize" button

6.  When the resizing has been completed, make sure the file size is less than 175,000 bytes (or 175.0 kb)

Click on "Download this picture Now"

7.  Or right click on the picture itself and left click on "Save Image As", name the picture and save it to your computer.

You are now ready to upload your picture to a remote site such as Photobucket (Instructions HERE (http://www.christianphotographers.com/community/index.php?topic=8292.0))  for posting on Christian Photographers.

NOTE: Remember that photos on this site are not stored and will not be available at a later date.
